It was an OK place.. I guess i'm a clean freak, so when I seen I had to do some cleaning, I was not very happy. In fact, it was probaly the cleanest the place had been in a while. I could had done more but was not going to spend my entire time doing so! That's not what I go on vacation for! And thank goodness I always take my own sheets, pillows & towels because theirs smelt a lil musky. And the DVD player didn't work, which was really no biggy, but my son just wanted to watch some stuff that we had brought along. AND, watch out for the outside building because my husband about cut his hand trying to open it. It is metal, and it has torn and needs to be fixed before someone gets hurt on it! So, like I say...You get what you pay for.. The only thing nice was the golf cart :)

This was a really nice place to stay. Enjoyed the big flat screen and especially the one in the bedroom.. Golf car was also great. We loved crusing around the place at night. Washing and dryer was really nice to have also. Place was really clean. Cant wait to go back in November.

First of all let me start off by saying I talked to the owner the week before going and she said she was going the week/weekend before me. So I thought great this place is going to be clean b/c the owner is there before me... WRONG... There was trash in the trash can (dirty diaper)... Wet wash cloth lying on the bed along with I'm assumming dirty towels on the dryer. The sheets in the dresser drawer were wet. Thank god I took my own sheets, pillows, towels & wash cloths... We did have to go buy blankets & comforters b/c there was no way I was touching my body with the stained ones on the beds..MAJOR ANT PROBLEM...We had to buy home defense spray b/c the can ant spray they had wasn't working.. There was a hole in the floor of one the showers so my husband had to duck tape and the toliets kept backing up..And my step son got a $50 ticket on the golf cart b/c the notes on the fridge didn't have an age on how old to be to drive but he was driving with his Nanny and they (Ocean Lakes) still gave him a ticket. I didn't want to pay it b/c the place was awful but for the record we did..I felt bad for the people coming in after us. We cleaned very mimimal but it was still cleaner than the way we got it.. Long story short it was an awful vacation so beware of the pictures folks...

I stayed at this property March 11-13 and found it to be very clean, comfortable and accommodating! The furnishings were very up to date and the HUGE flat screen tv in the living room was very nice. Unlike other houses I've stayed in at Ocean Lakes, this house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend a restful time at the beach without spending a fortune! Plan on staying here again in August!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I went to the beach with my friend. It was very nice. Beds were comfortable..golf cart was nice. House stayed cool so when we came back in from being so hot outside it was very refreshing. Had a nice flat screen tv. Plenty of room. Plan on staying there again when I go back to Ocean Lakes.

We stayed at this house July 17-24 2010. Had a great time. No problems. Enjoyed the golf cart. Will be renting again next year.

I have stayed here several times. My family loves to stay at this house. It's a great place to stay and has all you need, They provided everything we needed including a golf cart. I have already made reservations to stay here again.

Very nice place to stay.Clean and smelled fresh. Loved having the washer and dryer. Lots of things for the kids to do. They really enjoyed cruising in the golf cart. Cant wait to visit again next year.

We recently had a vacation nightmare by renting this property. I would personally, reconsider before signing any papers that state "NO REFUNDS". We came in to this house after a six hour drive to find that the owner had allowed 11 teenagers to party at their house all week. Blinds were lying in the floor, the house reeked of alcohol, dirty clothes were lying around. The house was filthy and had apparantly not been cleaned all week. The cleaning lady had to purchase new pillows, mattress pads and vent covers. The vent cover in the kitchen was broken in half, and my four year old daughter stepped through the hole and fell. The TV in the bedroom, did not work as advertised, we later found out that you have to run a drop cord from the TV to another outlet. The cleaning lady also stated that she had to mop the floor 3 times and still was not pleased. Dirty sheets were piled up in the floor and the washing machine did not work. We were told by 7 cleaning people they could not have this house ready for us the same night. We ended up having to rent another house for the week and the owner refuses to refund our money. The cleaning people did not finish with this house until two days before we were due to leave. The pictures these owners are listing are showing this house in a much better condition than this house is in reality. They fail to tell you that half of the house is a camper, so the kitchen is VERY small as well as the bathrooms. This would be a great house for teenagers, but if you are a family with children, I would personally take my money elsewhere. I have talked to the owners numerous times and have gotten nowhere. Yes, this house was badly trashed by the teenagers, however, you could tell this house had not been cleaned decently in some time. The owners could fix all of the damage to make this house "rentable", but as stated earlier BEWARE!! The owners state on this website that a minimum age is required and that they do not allow pets. I would be curious to know, what is the age limit? And, this house would make a great hotel for pets, no pet could casue anymore damage to this house than what has already been done. Once you pay your money, whether the house is clean or damaged, you will not receive a refund.

we absolutely loved the house . the kids loved the golf cart. the ocean and the property was gorgeous. nice personal touches in the house. great relaxation, just what we needed. we didnt want to leave and will definately stay at your place again. thank you so much for such a lovely place to stay and making our week perfect.

I have stayed here once and enjoyed my stay. The house was nice and a good value for the money. We will stay here again soon. Ocean Lakes is a great place with lots of activity.
