North Captiva Island is a wonderful adventure vacation that will be remembered for a lifetime. If you haven't visited this quaint island before you'll need this narrative to get acquainted. If flying into Fort Myers airport a taxi will pick you up from the airport. If you plan to cook at home, provisions can be picked up on the way to the marina. A faxed order to Publix prior to arrival will have your order ready for pick up by your taxi driver. Once you arrive at the marina, a water taxi will take you to the island. There are 6 scheduled taxi runs per day. If you'd prefer, a private boat charter can take you.
Once you arrive on the island you will be taken to the Coral Cove via a North Captiva Island Club employee who will assist you with groceries and luggage. Coral Crib is a part of the North Captiva Island Club rental program and includes a North Captive Island Club membership that is available to its' rentors. The membership includes the use of two club swimming pools, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, two tennis courts, playground, boat and kayak rentals, fishing equipment rentals, and more.
Dress on the island is very casual. The island has two restaurants, a small convenience store, and shopping. Enjoy walking the white sandy beach which runs for miles, shelling as you go or you may choose to take blankets, your book and a cooler to the beach and relax. One golf cart is included with your rental. Additional carts are available for rent thru the rental office.
Coral Crib has recently been refurnished, inside and out. New windows and doors, roof, siding and railings. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can enjoy your meals indoors or on the deck. There is new carpet, fresh paint, and linens. The master bedroom is on the upper floor with it's own private deck where you can relax and watch the sunset. One bedroom has two twin beds. The other has a bunk with a full on the bottom and a twin on the top.
The rental is equipped with internet, DishNetwork, DVD, Ipod Speaker.
