With easy access from Highway 80, the neighborhood is plowed in the winter, and offers access to snowmobiling, snowshoeing and sledding, as well as tubing and cross-country skiing nearby. Sugar Bowl, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Northstar Ski Resorts are just a short drive away.
In the summer, enjoy hiking, biking, four-wheeling, and rock climbing. Donner Lake and Serene Lakes are minutes away for fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming. Other attractions close by include downtown Truckee (15 minutes) and Reno (40 minutes).
