WHY DID WE NAME OUR HOUSE THE PORPOISE OF LIFE? We feel it is the "Porpoise" of life to enjoy time in God's beautiful creation with family and friends, so we offer our vaction home to you!
OCEANSIDE VILLAGE:
Oceanside Village is a lovely resort community with lots to offer for all ages and interests. It is located between the Garden City and Surfside Beach piers, across the street from the oceanfront Conch Cafe. While being in the middle of all the exciting Grand Strand activities, you will still feel refreshed and relaxed in this quiet retreat. Our home is a short stroll to the beach, or you may rent a golf cart at the front gate of the Village. Call ahead to (843) 650-4440 to rent golf cart if you wish. Or you may drive your own vehicle to the private beach access parking. Across the street is one of several stocked fishing lakes complete with ducklings. A one minute walk takes you to the heated indoor pool, community center , playground, tennis courts, basketball, bocci ball, new fitness center and other activities.
EASY ACCESS:
Our home is perfect for guests with small children or more "seasoned" visitors, as there are only two steps to climb.
BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS/LAUNDRY:
The house includes three bedrooms...one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, and the third with two new twin beds which can be combined to form a king-sized bed. The sleeper sofa in the sunroom gives you the option of using it as an extra queen-sized bedroom at night with plenty of privacy. Air mattresses are provided (1 queen, 2 twins), and make good "teenager" accommodations if your children decided to bring friends along.
One full bathroom and one half-bathroom inside are decorated with beach themes. The enclosed outside shower has hot and cold water, just right for getting sand off little feet. Full-sized laundry appliances are right inside the back door, making those wet towels easier to deal with!
KITCHEN:
The kitchen is fully-equipped for housekeeping, with a new fridge, new range, newly installed vinyl floor, new butcher-block bar with stools, and everything else you'll need to feel at home. Stop by the nearby grocery store (there's one across from the Village) and you are set!
LIVING ROOM/SUNROOM:
The living room has new carpeting, a couch, coffee table, two chairs, cable TV and a DVD entertainment center . The sunroom is wonderful, with wicker furniture, a comfortable sleeper sofa, cable TV/VCR, ceiling fan, heat/air-conditioning, and lots of sunshine. It is perfect for that early morning cup of coffee, reading a book, or an afternoon nap. In the sunroom you'll find a dining table perfect for puzzles/games and the family meals.
OUTDOOR DINING:
Outside, rocking chairs and outdoor table/chairs under the crape myrtle tree provide the perfect shady spot for enjoying the occasional duckling parades, and dining "al fresco!" A nice view of the lake across the street adds to your resort experience.
LINENS/CLEANING:
We do not charge cleaning or linens fees, so please bring your own sheets and towels. Please leave the home as clean as you found it. We require a refundable cleaning/security deposit, and provide cleaning supplies and a check-out cleaning list. NO SMOKING, NO PETS.
RENTAL GUIDELINES:
We rent from Saturday to Saturday during the peak season, with a three-night minimum being negotiable. Two-night minimum during off-peak. We also have weekly and monthly rates for off-peak times, and would love to have you during the off-season. |
