Would Definitely Recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa! The host was great with communication and answered all of our questions promptly and with plenty of detail. The villa was absolutely beautiful, and very private. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves traveling to the area again.

Very comfortable house and the host is very friendly and helpful. It is a short easy drive into San Sebastián and parking was not hard as parking areas are well marked. The stairs are a little steep for older guests, but other than that we were very happy with the house.

Beautiful, art and book-filled country home near San Sebastian, Spain

My husband and I rented Javier's house with good friends with whom we vacation every few years. It was perfect for two couples or a small family, and we loved our stay here. The house is both practical and charming, and the hosts, Javier and Miguel, couldn't have been nicer. Miguel met us at an easy-to-find location and guided us through the country roads to the house. Once we settled in, they checked to see if we had any questions and were always available through email if we needed something. Since we often cook meals ourselves, we appreciated the many kitchen tools and roomy kitchen. It was also fun to explore the inside and outside of the house. The inside is filled with interesting books and art, some of it done by Javier--and we loved feeding the sheep that graze in a fenced area near the house and watching the huge slugs that appeared after a heavy rain. This is definitely country living! It was also an excellent base for exploring the Basque country with easy access to major highways to Bilbao, San Sebastian, Pamplona, Guernica, and other locations. If you are planning to visit the Basque country, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Absolutely perfect!!

The house was beautiful and homey!! Kitchen was very efficient and well equipped. The grounds were gorgeous. Miguel was very helpful and the house was stocked with information on the area. It was a quiet peaceful retreat close to the wonderful city is San Sebastián. A metro station in Lasarta was very convenient.
