Fairlawn on Jones garden style condominium located within gated community in a very desirable area. Jones Street is known as Savannah's prettiest street.
Perfect place to spend a few days or several weeks. You will enjoy this condo as you step back in time to the much sought after comfort of yesteryear. The latest incarnation of Fair Lawn On Jones can be tracked back to its origins in 1761 as the Fair Lawn Plantation, on what is now East Broad St. In the 1830's Major William Bowen built an estate, also known as Fair Lawn, which was noted for its "luxuriant garden."
The Fairlawn on Jones complex anchors the resurgent regeneration of this important portion of the district with it’s almost completed renovation at the E. Jones, E. Taylor St. and Broad St. quadrant of the historic district and the Beech Institute.
This spacious condo was recently redecorated as of July 2005. Amenities include a very nice-sized living area. There is a sleeper sofa with a comfortable innerspring mattress. An entertainment center houses a TV and DVD player. Hardwood floors are throughout the living, dining and bedrooms areas. The bedroom is sunny and overlooks the courtyard area and has a queen-sized bed.
The walk-in closet has ample storage for lengthier stays. The kitchen and bathroom have tiled floors. The kitchen is fully-equipped with self cleaning oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee grinder, and coffee maker. There is a washer/dryer in place for your convenience.

Fabulous position, within walking distance to everything old town Savannah has to offer. Sharon was easy to work with and very flexible. The condo was in excellent condition, meticulously clean, the beds were very comfortable, plenty of closet space and the kitchen was well appointed. For a family of 4 this beats a hotel anyday - either by price, level of accomodations(which were 5 star) and peace(no noisy hotel guests in the halls). Why are we submitting our review 2 years later - only now do we realize that not all renters are like Sharon - we have been misled by a renter since and now truly appreciate what we had in Sharon's condo - thank you.

My husband and I rented this property for a 3 night stay for our 10 year anniversary. Sharon was really easy to work with. The instructions for getting there and getting the keys and everything were simple, and we got it right the first time. The place was immaculately clean, and neat. The bed was comfortable (with extra pillows and blankets too!) and the towels were well-stocked. The one negative of the condo was the couch. Don't plan on cuddling up together on it!(not comfy) But the bed is comfy enough to make up for it. We loved the streets lined with ancient trees, and all the beautiful architecture. This condo isn't right in the center of everything, but I think that's a good thing. It was quiet at night. About a half-mile walk Northwest, and you are right in the hub of the parks and such. We recommend the 17 hundred 90 Inn and restaurant. Yum food, amazing atmosphere. Get their haunted dinner tour if you can, ask for Jackie. You must make the 3 or 4 block walk from this condo to Mrs. Wilkes boardinghouse restaurant. Trust me, it's worth the wait in line, and the experience is a true taste of Savannah. Be aware the the Savannah College of Art and Design is around every corner here, so you may see a student sketching a building, filming an independent film, or some other artistic pursuit. There are lots of 'artsy' types roaming the streets and cafe's. Speaking of cafe's, you must visit Caraway Cafe. It looks like a favorite of those 'artsy' types, and the floor is old and kind of amazing-in a dirty, run-down way. Order a caramel apple cider for me! Visit the Paris Exchange, but for pete's sake don't BUY anything! (prices are ridiculous!) By all means, go a few blocks south and visit Wright Square Antique Mall where the prices are reasonable, and there are much more choices! Visit the Juliette Gorden Lowe House, but beware the the Andrew Lowe house-it was just an inventory of antiques you can't breathe on. The Davenport house gave a great tour full of history and stories of the people who lived there. It may depend who you get as a tour guide though. Enjoy exploring Savannah!

We stayed the weekend in this condo and loved it. It's in a great location on a very beautiful street in downtown Savannah. The condo was clean, tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There was a great little bistro table outside the condo in the courtyard to have our morning coffee. The neighbors were very friendly. We felt very safe and it was super quiet in the neighborhood. We'd recommend this condo over a hotel room any day and would definitely stay here again!
Owner response:Brianne and Scott, You are certainly welcome back anytime. Thank you so much for your nice comments. Sharon Hansen

My husband and daughter and I spent a week here. The place is very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's within walking distance to the historic district so we didn't have to worry about parking. The street is beautiful and the place is very quite so sleeping in wasn't a problem. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a very nice place to stay that also lets you have the option of cooking for yourself instead of eating out all the time. When we come back to Savannah, this is where we will stay.

This condo was PERFECT! Beautifully decorated in a great location. The condo made us feel right at home. Sharon was so helpful and suggested great things to see and do while staying in Savannah. My fiance was like a kid in a candy store as it was his first time in Savannah, and I could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience to share with him. Thanks again!!

This is a great place to stay. The location was very convienent, parking just outside the gate, nice garden area, inside the condo was very clean and well decorated. The owner was very responsive (air conditioner not working when we arrived late Sunday evening and the owner had a repairman out to fix it even though it was after 9PM. I would definitely recommend this property to friends, family or strangers. Property was outstanding. We went on carriage rides, the trolly and a walking ghost tour. We were not disappointed with any of these. The only disappoint was the Paula Dean restaurant. The food was just slightly better than a low cost family buffet restaurant-food really salty and below adverage. Really enjoyed Mrs Wilkes restaurant. Really good southern food. Stood in line around 1:30 for about 30 min and had a great southern lunch. Also really enjoyed the 1st Black Baptist church tour. We felt it was the best tour in Savannah.

Had a great time in Savannah and staying in your condo, Sharon, made it even more special. The condo was immaculate, very comfortable and roomy. Sharon, appreciate all the information you sent - you thought of everything. We visited several restaurants you recommended and loved them. We'd love to come back to Savannah and rent from you again. Thanks.
