Fairlawn on Jones garden style condominium located within gated community in a very desirable area. Jones Street is known as Savannah's prettiest street.
Perfect place to spend a few days or several weeks. You will enjoy this condo as you step back in time to the much sought after comfort of yesteryear. The latest incarnation of Fair Lawn On Jones can be tracked back to its origins in 1761 as the Fair Lawn Plantation, on what is now East Broad St. In the 1830's Major William Bowen built an estate, also known as Fair Lawn, which was noted for its 'luxuriant garden.'
The Fairlawn on Jones complex anchors the resurgent regeneration of this important portion of the district with it’s almost completed renovation at the E. Jones, E. Taylor St. and Broad St. quadrant of the historic district and the Beech Institute.
Amenities include a very nice-sized living area. There is a new sleeper sofa with a comfortable memory foam mattress. An entertainment center houses a TV and DVD player. Hardwood floors are throughout the living, dining and bedrooms areas. The bedroom is sunny and overlooks the courtyard area and has a queen-sized bed.
The walk-in closet has ample storage for lengthier stays. The kitchen and bathroom have tiled floors. The kitchen is fully-equipped with self cleaning oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee grinder, and coffee maker. There is a washer/dryer in place for your convenience.
This unit has desirable dedicated off street parking.

Fabulous position, within walking distance to everything old town Savannah has to offer. Sharon was easy to work with and very flexible. The condo was in excellent condition, meticulously clean, the beds were very comfortable, plenty of closet space and the kitchen was well appointed. For a family of 4 this beats a hotel anyday - either by price, level of accomodations(which were 5 star) and peace(no noisy hotel guests in the halls). Why are we submitting our review 2 years later - only now do we realize that not all renters are like Sharon - we have been misled by a renter since and now truly appreciate what we had in Sharon's condo - thank you.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was our families first trip to Savannah and we decided to rent a condo opposed to a hotel. It was the right choice for our family. The condo is in the heart of the historic district close to everything but quiet and secluded. There is a small gated courtyard on site and best of all in the middle of the city; your own parking spot that is always there. No spending time looking for parking or moving your car for street sweepers. The condo has an open floor plan and spacious for its size, much more spacious than others in this price range and much better than a hotel room. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to visit Savannah!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this condo during the busiest season in Savannah. I did not realize this when booking and it was great to have a retreat away from the heavy tourist areas, yet still in the historic district, walking distance from the lovely Forsyth Park. The condo was just as pictured. Parking was private and easy and the car can be seen from the bedroom window. We ate breakfast and some dinners in the condo, which was well equipped. I would recommend this rental. Sharon was great about providing us with information about Savannah prior to our arrival, and directions got us there and into the condo with ease.Owner response: Thank you for your nice comments. I am very pleased that you had a wonderful experience in Savannah and enjoyed the condo.

We really liked the location of this condo. I took this condo due to the ' private ' parking and not " on the street " parking for security reasons. We stayed 4 days. It was like home, beautifully decorated, enough room to spread out, cozy and warm, large enough kitchen where your not bumping into eachother, quiet and private. Sharon was sweet and didn't mind me calling to reaffirm our checkout date. We enjoyed our trip to Sav and plan on coming back and in hopes of staying again at this condo. I hope you were able to work out the details with the ' private parking ' situation during our stay. Thank you Sharon for everything you did to make it a beautiful experience for us.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Tina, it was my pleasure and you are welcome back anytime. So happy you enjoyed your stay! Sharon

Fantastic place in a fantastic location! We felt as if we were coming home at the end of the day, a feeling one doesn't get when staying in a hotel. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax so that you don't feel on top of each other the whole time, a kitchen for cooking, and a washer and dryer for laundry. The unit has reserved parking located close by in the alley behind, so no need to worry about finding parking on the street. The waterfront is accessible via a short drive or bike ride, or if you want, a nice 15 minute walk.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The on-line photos don’t do justice to this lovely, spacious, comfortable property. My husband and I were delighted the minute we opened the door, and we would return in a heartbeat. The location is ideal – just outside the hubbub of the Historic District but easily and safely walkable to everything. And it’s equally easy to drive from the convenient parking spot adjacent to the condo – we drove to Tybee Island and to the Riverfront with great ease. The owner was extremely responsive and a pleasure during our communications in advance of arrival. The condo is bright and spotless, and the kitchen is nicely equipped. The good-sized bedroom has ample closet and bureau space – lots of hangers and drawers. The bath is a bit dated but sparkling clean (which is what really matters). There are extra towels, linens, and blankets too. There is a very helpful notebook in the sitting area that provides information and recommendations about the area, restaurants, etc. Both the sitting area and the bedroom have television sets. There is a DVD player as well and a portable CD player too (bring your own movies and CDs). We found the sitting room furniture very comfortable and enjoyed our stay-at-home afternoon during a rainstorm. The wi-fi was a real asset for us. The apartment easily accommodates a couple or small family. Two couples could certainly manage if you don’t mind sharing a bath. Our only suggestion for improvement is related to the lighting – another side table and a lamp (or two) in the living room and 3-way bulbs in the bedroom would have been appreciated. In terms of restaurants, we liked J. Christopher’s for breakfast (just blocks away and delicious!) as well as B&D Burgers, Leopold’s, and the Crystal Beer Parlor. We ate at the Crab Shack on Tybee – a real experience! We think the trolley tours are worthwhile for those who don’t know Savannah – a great way to get your bearings upon arrival. There are several choices and probably all are good, but the Oglethorpe Tours is less expensive and the only one endorsed by the local historical society. All the trolleys make basically the same stops, and the on-off ticket is usually a good value. This property very quickly came to feel like home, and we recommend it highly. We hope we’ll get a chance to return, maybe for an even longer stay next time.Owner response: Christine, Thank you for your nice comments. It was a pleasure helping you with your accommodations in Savannah. You are welcome back anytime. Sharon Hansen

My husband and I rented this property for a 3 night stay for our 10 year anniversary. Sharon was really easy to work with. The instructions for getting there and getting the keys and everything were simple, and we got it right the first time. The place was immaculately clean, and neat. The bed was comfortable (with extra pillows and blankets too!) and the towels were well-stocked. The one negative of the condo was the couch. Don't plan on cuddling up together on it!(not comfy) But the bed is comfy enough to make up for it. We loved the streets lined with ancient trees, and all the beautiful architecture. This condo isn't right in the center of everything, but I think that's a good thing. It was quiet at night. About a half-mile walk Northwest, and you are right in the hub of the parks and such. We recommend the 17 hundred 90 Inn and restaurant. Yum food, amazing atmosphere. Get their haunted dinner tour if you can, ask for Jackie. You must make the 3 or 4 block walk from this condo to Mrs. Wilkes boardinghouse restaurant. Trust me, it's worth the wait in line, and the experience is a true taste of Savannah. Be aware the the Savannah College of Art and Design is around every corner here, so you may see a student sketching a building, filming an independent film, or some other artistic pursuit. There are lots of 'artsy' types roaming the streets and cafe's. Speaking of cafe's, you must visit Caraway Cafe. It looks like a favorite of those 'artsy' types, and the floor is old and kind of amazing-in a dirty, run-down way. Order a caramel apple cider for me! Visit the Paris Exchange, but for pete's sake don't BUY anything! (prices are ridiculous!) By all means, go a few blocks south and visit Wright Square Antique Mall where the prices are reasonable, and there are much more choices! Visit the Juliette Gorden Lowe House, but beware the the Andrew Lowe house-it was just an inventory of antiques you can't breathe on. The Davenport house gave a great tour full of history and stories of the people who lived there. It may depend who you get as a tour guide though. Enjoy exploring Savannah!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We stayed the weekend in this condo and loved it. It's in a great location on a very beautiful street in downtown Savannah. The condo was clean, tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There was a great little bistro table outside the condo in the courtyard to have our morning coffee. The neighbors were very friendly. We felt very safe and it was super quiet in the neighborhood. We'd recommend this condo over a hotel room any day and would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

My husband and daughter and I spent a week here. The place is very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's within walking distance to the historic district so we didn't have to worry about parking. The street is beautiful and the place is very quite so sleeping in wasn't a problem. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a very nice place to stay that also lets you have the option of cooking for yourself instead of eating out all the time. When we come back to Savannah, this is where we will stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
