This wonderful 4 bedroom log cabin is just what you have dreamed about for your very own special vacation home and one that you will return to again and again. This house is located in a lovely and private log cabin community in historic Valle Crucis where each house has at least 2 acres of mountain beauty and Moose Preserve reigns at the top overlooking the lovely neighborhood and with the best view of all!
On your arrival you will first be delighted with the charm of the exterior. The two covered decks are decorated beautifully with Bent Willow furniture nestled in a corner for just chatting or maybe a game of cards and, of course, enjoying the view; or try the rocking chairs for releasing your tension and, of course, the view; then there is the hammock for total relaxation; the dining table that seats 8 for family meals; and of course, the hot tub for multitude of purposes including relaxing after a long day of skiing, hiking, tubing, and swimming. All this and you have not even gone into the cabin!
The cabin itself is fabulous and exudes quality and peace. You will feel like you finally found home; and with all the extras for that perfect vacation that you know you deserve. If you had a mountain cabin, this would be it. When you walk in the house there is the feeling of overwhelming enchantment. The great room with its pine hardwood floors, 35 ft cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, the overstuffed chair and ottoman facing the stone wood-burning fireplace, the friendly décor and lovely kitchen, all make for a wonderful first impression which makes you just want to sit down and enjoy! There is wonderful mountain charm in every accessory and one child counted 227 moose in the cabin and this has become a challenge for all kids to find more.
Each bedroom is special. The main floor bedroom, with its two sets of double doors opening onto the deck, has a king bed with wonderful linens, charming accessories (yes there are moose in this room), custom made draperies, and all in all, one of the best places to wake up in the High Country.
The lower level bedroom is really the master - but who can tell? With the spacious room and its king bed with view, another overstuffed chair with ottoman, lovely decorations, and private bath you could stay here the entire time but would miss out on a lot of fun!
The upstairs has a loft that sleeps a couple of children, then there is the kids’ bedroom with twin bunk bed then finally another bedroom with queen which also is spacious, lovely, and offers total comfort. Each level has its own bath which is all wood, again decorated beautifully, and such a charming experience.
What more? Well, a fabulous playroom that features a pool table with additional ping-pong surface and a real video arcade which has over 50 games on it for the kids/adults to play, not to mention flat-screen television !! All this and more awaits you at the Moose Preserve log cabin in the heart of Valle Crucis!
Moose Preserve has paved access for all except the last ¼ mile. This is a dog-friendly home.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with Almost Heaven right across the street.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

I stayed here for a weekend and had such a great time. The hot tub was so relaxing after we got back for some time on The Zip Line. We loved playing all the old games on the video system!
