  The house is located in a lovely spot high in the mountains on a golf course. Barbecuing outside on the deck was great and we ate all meals outside. The home is cosy. The difficulty was the beds for two couples in the age where one needs good bedding for sleep. Otherwise there were no problems and everything is there and ready to move in. Thanks.

  We enjoyed out time in Glacier, this property served us as a great home base. We headed out each morning for hikes, returned shortly for lunch and out again til dinner time. We like to travel and cook for ourselves and like the fact that the room/home is comfortable in a great setting. Thanks for making it available to us!

  I was on a short vacation by myself and this rental was ideal. The positives: very close to the West Glacier park entrance, very well equipped, very clean, comfortable bed in the master bedroom, peaceful and pleasant location on the edge of the golf course. Things to watch for: the second bedroom with bunk beds is located in a finished basement. It looks like it would be fine for kids but maybe not the best for adults; one small bathroom could be a problem for larger groups; rustic and well used mismatched furniture. These things were no problem for me, especially considering how clean everything was. I would happily rent again!

  Our family stayed here for a week. The house met all our expectations and the location was great. Beautiful view of golf course. The wild life was excellent. There is alot of sleeping space throughout the house. All available appliance were in good working order.

  My sister, cousin and I had booked a four night stay at the Staggerin Inn. The rental was in a beautiful location and central to our planned activities. The listing failed to state that the bunk bed and single bed were located in a musty smelling basement. The odor was so overwhelming that it was not possible for any of us to use the beds. All of the visitors that came to see us also found the odor too strong to stay in the bedroom. The fold out sofa had a 5 in mattress with springs in it that was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately there was a narrow fold up pad that we put on top of the sofa mattress. The carpets were extremely dirty and in need of cleaning. We did enjoy the deck and spent many hours out there. Visitors should be prepared to hear lawn mowers every morning at 6:00 am on the golf course. When I contacted the owner regarding the basement she replied that she had never had anyone complain about the smell. I would not recommend this property until there is some TLC given to it.

  Owner response: We have had numerous happy folks there this summer both before and after this guest's stay so I am sorry they were unhappy. Not much else to respond to except it seems there are some people that are better served in alternative accommodations. Unfortunately for both of us, this was one of those cases.

  As a vacation house, it's good enough for everything if your group is less than 6 people. We enjoy our stay!

  My friends and I have stayed at the Staggerin' Inn two years in a row now and absolutely love it. It is clean, wonderfully located VERY close to Glacier NP, feels loved and cared for. The owners have been terrific to work with. This place is a gem.

  Well, it certainly was on the golf course, and it does sleep 8, but with one bathroom (with a padded toilet seat (eeewww) we wouldn't recommend this place to our worse enemies. There is no pride of ownership in this place. If you've been hiking all day and are dog tired, you may overlook most things just so you can lay your head down, but the pillows are 2" thick and the bed in the Master is 6" off the ground. I don't think anything has been replaced in this house since the house changed owners. The oven certainly has not been cleaned, so don't try to bake anything lest you set the house on fire. Make sure you look out for the hornet's nests in the eaves outside. I could go on, but why bother? Wrote this same review on TripAdvisor and now see that the listing has been removed. Hmmmm, wonder why. And to top it off, never heard from the owners after we posted our review. Unfortunate that they didn't even contact us for additional information, or to apologize for the condition of their property.

  Owner response: WOW! This is the first time I have ever received a negative comment and the first I have heard from these guests? Not sure why she said she never heard from us - I got no notice? I was never contacted personally. There is 1 bathroom - that is not something misrepresented. That should have been sufficient for her booking. She booked for 2 people? In her words "There's just my husband and I". I am sorry you thought there would be another bathroom. It is a cabin in a National Park. It is clean and comfortable and again - I urge you to look at other comments. Some people are not meant to stay in vacation homes and should stay in hotels. Apparently that is the case here. The dead hornet's nest was left outside purposely for the safety of our guests because hornet's are territorial. If a dead nest is left in an area, hornets will not build a new nest. You can actually purchase decoy nests to put up. Locals know that if you have a dead nest - leave it there and alleviate the future hornet problems... we use a decoy at home specifically for this purpose. Google hornet's nest decoy and you will see!

  The house was very nice, clean, and everything was as stated in the ad. The owners were easy to contact, responsive to our questions. They were also willing to get the house ready on short notice. The best thing of all about the house is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is very close to the west entrance station of Glacier Nat'l Park. We visited during November and the park was all ours. Very few people were there despite the fact the colors and weather were wonderful. The village of West Glacier was buttoned up for the winter so any dining out has to be done in Columbia Falls, Whitefish, or Kalispell. The house has a comfortable kitchen and eating area so dining out is not necessary. There are dishes and pots and pans in the kitchen and there is a nice dining area. We brought food and cooked in the house. We hiked a portion of the Avalanche Creek trail and there was no one else there. Several weeks prior to that I had hiked the same trail and there were hundreds of others. We plan on renting this property again--especially during the off season. Restaurants in Whitefish that we really enjoy are the Buffalo and Wasabi. We have recommended this to friends. Off season activities in this area would be hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and taking pictures. The type of the activity would depend on current weather. I check the West Glacier area weather by going to the Glacier National Park webcams and checking Lake McDonald and Apgar Village webcams.
