OUR CONDOMINIUM: Second floor, corner unit, two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, with clear view of the ocean from the deck and master bedroom. Master bedroom - queen-size bed. Second bedroom - twin beds. Sleeper sofa in living room. Kid-friendly. Full kitchen with cooking equipment, washer, dryer, DVD, and VCR players. Please rates below - rates depend on the season.
ISLAND LOCATION: Harbor Island is located at the southernmost seashore of South Carolina, known as the "low country" with scenic views of seascape and marshes. It is located between Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia, a little over an hour's drive to each city. Nearest town is Beaufort, South Carolina, about 20 minutes away. Harbor Island lies immediately next to Hunting Island, known for its beautiful state park with beaches, woods, and lighthouse. It is about 40 minutes from Hilton Head.
ACTIVITIES: This is a private gated community with three miles of beach, never crowded. Facilities include a clubhouse with three pools, exercise room, tennis and volleyball courts, gift shop, snack bar, and play equipment for kids.
Try the outstanding seafood literally right out of the ocean. There are many golf courses, public and private. In town - unique shops and galleries reflect local southern and West African (Gullah) culture. The beach is known for beautiful seashells, crabbing, and sea turtles. You can pick or buy your own fruits and vegetables at local farm stands.
It is your call - eat in, eat out, swim, comb the beach, get a tan, exercise, take side trips, enjoy scenery, play golf, tennis or volleyball, do "city things," or just simply "veg out!" Those interested in mobs, noise, and traffic on the island need not apply!
