Photo 1 - Malaga, Spain Rental Enjoy this beautiful private home situated in the hills above Malaga. The house sits in 85 secluded acres of rolling hills with abundant olive, almond and carob groves. There are wonderful panoramic views to the western Montes and the Mediterranean Sea. The home dates from 1854 and was originally an olive mill and was built in the "old Spanish" style with brick, stone, and stucco. Most of the rooms have beamed ceilings. The floors in the house are tiled in original Spanish Tile. The original stones and press are still intact and are an integral part of the home. The ground floor consists of four main rooms. The olive mill which is a large airy room, is often used as a room for entertaining. There is a large salon made up of a sitting and dining area with a fireplace giving the room a very cozy feel. There is also a guest bedroom on the ground floor with twin beds and its own private sitting area with television and DVD. The kitchen, which is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences, also has an open fireplace which makes for a wonderful place to enjoy dinner. There is a door off the kitchen that leads to one of the three terraces around the main house. The first floor has two bedrooms with queen-size beds and two bedroom suites with king-size beds, one with a small childs' room adjacent. In the evening enjoy the city lights of Malaga from the pool and terrace area there. There is a one bedroom cabana with a kitchen and full bath at the pool side. The main house is fully modernized 19th century olive mill, with all the warmth and charm you can expect of a Spanish country home.
