Purgatory/Durango Mountain Resort is just a short drive to the north.
Experience 300 feet of pristine river frontage in this comfortable and inviting home, with an open living area, dining area complete with river rock fireplace, and french doors which look out on the deck, where an outdoor spa awaits for your relaxation and rejuvenation. Listen to the music of the river, and enjoy spectacular views of the river and red rock cliffs from nearly every room of this property.
Majestic Engineer Mountain (12,968-ft) beckons to the north. Watch elk and deer pass by in season, and delight at hummingbirds outside your window in warmer weather. The backyard (approximately one acre) is completely fenced, for the safety of your children and pets.
Durango is a year-round outdoor mecca, and you will find it all here from biking and hiking, kayaking and rafting, horseback riding, fishing the area's gold medal trout streams, and golfing (we are minutes from two superior courses), to snow sports galore.
If gallery-hopping is your preferred activity, you will be delighted by Durango's vibrant artistic community. Step back in time with a trip on the world-renowned Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (you can see the train from the house on the mountainside across the river valley!), and step even further back with a visit to the ancient cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde National Park, just 40 miles from Durango.
