This is the perfect get-a-way cabin overlooking the Panther Town Wilderness. Have a refreshing, renewing experience in this remote, charming cabin located in the cool and lovely North Carolina mountains.
Nestled in the woods, this cabin is situated on 33 acres of privately owned property, adjacent to the Panther Town Wilderness which consists of 6,000 acres of beautiful hiking trails that begin just outside your front door. The house has one bedroom with a queen sized bed on the main floor and twin beds in the loft area that are very cozy.
All linens are provided. In the main room downstairs, there is a comfortable sofa, two overstuffed chairs that surround an armoire equipped with a large TV (satellite), stereo and DVD player. There is a stone fireplace with plenty of wood to burn. The full kitchen is perfectly equipped and has a gas stove and all the appliances.
On the open back porch you can sit and enjoy the view. The covered porch off the living room is equipped with a table for dining and a hammock for lounging. Pretty flower beds surround the house in the front and the back. Lots of windows assure you a sunny, bright atmosphere and an expansive ceiling height that gives a soaring feeling to the house.
There is a trout stocked pond just a short walk down the hill where you can fish or take a swim. Grill your catch on the outdoor bar-b-que. You will fall in love with this little gem!
Within walking distance of the cabin is the well known Panther Town Wilderness. There are maps with all the trails in the area so you'll know just where to go. The wilderness area consists of 6,000 acres of hiking, biking and riding trails that take you to a series of waterfalls and vistas.
The delightful community of Cashiers is a 10 minutes drive away(where you will find every thing you might want) and is fun to visit. You'll find great restaurants, an upscale grocery store, a farmer's market with the absolute best local produce, baked goods, and a gourmet deli with prepared foods and all kinds of shopping. You will relish a rainy day if you get one!
