Walk to Everything Location
Year Purchased: 1996
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
I built the Harris St. House in 1996 to offer a quality experience for families to vacation together and have the convenience of walking to all that Breckenridge has to offer. My home is your home to enjoy and to relax in.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The main benefits are the comfortable layout of the home and the quiet neighborhood. All with easy proximity to all Breckenridge has to offer, from theater to grocery to ski area shuttle. A bonus for some is that Harris St. is the premier street in Breckenridge to do a walking tour of classic homes listed on the National Historic Registry.
Owner's Map of Private Homes
I have been a permanent resident of Breckenridge since 1972. I arrived without even knowing there was a ski area here and fell in love with the mountains, the people and the skiing. It's a pleasure to share what I have been blessed with.

Great property for a large group. We had our family visit us for the Thanksgiving Holiday this year and decided to take them all to Breckenridge. This home was just what we needed to accommodate or group. The kitchen was stocked well, the house very clean, and with the two living areas, we never felt crowded. There was plenty of sleeping space for all and we were very comfortable. This location was perfect for the ones who skied, and those who went shopping and explored the area. Restaurants were a couple of blocks away and we never got in the car while visiting. The plants and art throughout the home made us feel warm and cozy. With us were three US army men on leave, they sure did appreciate the break. We thank you so much Michael for making sure we had all we needed and that we were content. Look forward to another visit soon.

I traveled to Breckenridge looking for a peaceful centrally located home to vacation in and get some work accomplished and found Paradise. My friend from Texas and his family agreed, the spot couldn't be better. Comfortable, open floor plan and nicely furnished. The rooms were not expansive however the living and dining areas have so many beautiful plants, art and sunlight that it was a pleasure to get up early and enjoy them. The covered deck was perfect for early morning coffee and watching the birds dart about. Location was key with everything in easy walking distance. I imagine the Harris St. House would be equally perfect for my next ski vacation.

My family and I had a wonderful time in this great vacation rental. We enjoyed the front of the house for games and meals as a group and appreciated the back of the house for some separation when some of the family wanted space to re-group. The back kitchen was a nice feature too. The ski/board racks were great for our equipment. The shuttle was around the corner which made it easy to get to the mountain. Everyone liked that it was so easy to walk right to town for shopping and restaurants. We even took in a film down the block at the great little movie theater. And of course the hot tub was great! Thanks for sharing your wonderful home! P.S. Clean, welcoming, easy to work with the owner and we would recommend the house to our friends as well as hope to stay there again.

This house has lots of space. We rented one side of it for our foursome of friends, shared the upstairs bath/ shower, (there's another 1/2 bath downstairs), enjoyed the well stocked kitchen for preparing some meals at home and the comfortable living space next to the kitchen....Its a cute little neighborhood, lively, just a couple blocks to the main drag...We didn"t need the whole house, if we had a larger group, there is a whole extra section to accommodate more people with more bedrooms, bathrooms, a whole other kitchen and living space, connected by a hall and stairs. Very interesting design for a smaller or larger group...Also we very much enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch in the dark of the cold quiet night....Oh yes, and it was very clean and has nice touches...furniture and artwork...Will be back!
