A hidden Gem..

Guest: Sikora (USA)
Date of Stay: 08/07/09 Review Submitted: 08/28/09

The apartment is a gem hidden within a quiet, residential street , yet just a short walk away from the old town. It has a simple, soothing elegance. The high ceilings give a sense of spaciousness that is balanced by the warmth created by exquisite lighting. The result is sublime and etheral and nurturing to the soul---something to treasure and that we often seek in our busy lives.

Much Better than the Pictures

Guest: Brian D.
Date of Stay: 09/02/11 Review Submitted: 10/30/11

We stayed at this apartment for three nights in Sep 2011. It is an absolutely beautiful apartment, spotless, fresh, and the pictures do not do it justice. Our family of four was very comfortable during our short stay. Greta was very quick to respond to all inquiries and was helpful throughout our stay. The apartment is in a perfect, quiet location very near to public transportation, parking and all of the attractions of Krakow. Absolutely perfect place, recommend it to all traveling families.

Location and luxury

Guest: Donna (Kirkland, Wa. US)
Date of Stay: 10/15/11 Review Submitted: 10/25/11

The location of this unit could not have been better. It was a leisurely 10 minute stroll through a lovely park to the old town, five minutes from the castle and about 5-10 minutes to the old Jewish section. We were a little concerned abou the third floor without an elevator, but the stairs are easy even after hours of wandering this fabulous city. The aparment itself is the best we have ever rented, and we have been renting apartment in Europe for the last fifteen years. Most impressive is the size. Each room is large and the twelve foot ceilings with the coved moldings make it seem even larger than it is. The paint is new and the lighting the most modern we have experienced. Very easy to read in any room in the house. Also surprising were the full size refrigerator with its large freezer, the new stove top and oven, and the quality of the cookware. We tire of eating out and travel with our own knives; they were not necessary here. The kitchen is larger than the bedrooms in many apartments and extremely well lit. The bathroom is totally modern and the heated marble floors were much appreciated in October. The 42'' flat screen is hooked up to satellite, so my husband could follow sports. The sound system goes throughout the house, so I could listen to music elsewhere in the house and read or write. King size beds are rare in Europe, and this one was extrordianrliy comfortable. The pictures of the living room on the web site do not do justice to the reality. There is a couch for watching TV that ione could get lost in; it also has a reading light whcih is perfectly placed. All this, and soothing colors, classy mardern art and dozens of books and brochures about Kracow made for a very easy visit. And of course having Sylvia living in the building and availbe to answer question - we could not figure out the DVD player- made life easy. This place set a standard of luxury I am not sure we will see again anytime soon. We felt very greatful the owner was willing to share her space. Had this been our first apartment rental ever, we would have been doomed to years of unmet hopes/expectations. This will probably be our only trip to Poland and this apartment will be very much a part of a lasting memory - and lots of photographs.

Perfect place to chill

Guest: genez (Ann Arbor, MI)
Date of Stay: 03/10/11 Review Submitted: 10/19/11

This is a gorgeous place--Stayed there a week in March 2011. It is ideally located; especially if you intend to spend quite a bit of time in Kazimierz, which is 7 minutes away. The street entrance and courtyard is a bit dark, but it is safe and quiet. The apartment is beautifully furnished and impeccably maintained. It is fully equipped--the only thing I wished it had was an ipod dock so I could listen to my own music. Both Greta and Sylwia are very helpful, answering all questions and helping with everything, even providing you with a cell phone, should you need one. Wifi was great. I appreciated having a washing machine and heated towel racks to do laundry. Loved loved this rental and would stay there again.

Krakow apartment on ul sw. Sebastiana

Guest: AV (NJ)
Date of Stay: 07/25/11 Review Submitted: 10/04/11

Beautifully furnished, modern apartment in a charming, atmospheric building. Walking distance to main attractions like Planty gardens, Jagellionian Univ., Town Sq. and Cloth Hall, Jewish district, Wawel castle and the Vistula riverfront. We didn't use a cab except to get to the airport. Kids loved all the electronics available for guest use. Parents loved the well-equipped kitchen, top-of-the-line bathrooms and bedroom furnishings, and the tasteful decor throughout. Also loved the short walk to essentials like groceries, restaurants and the wine merchant. The apartment caretaker, Sylwia, is a gem, more like a friendly neighbor who's always there to help. The owner, Greta, is highly responsive, answering all emails and texts within minutes. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect location with many amenities and support on the ground

Guest: Michelle (Winchester, MA)
Date of Stay: 07/06/11 Review Submitted: 10/04/11

This apartment is ideally situated just a couple of minutes from both Kazimierz and the old town. Nearby are everything that you need: restaurants, grocery stores, and even a 24 hour liquor store. The apartment itself has been lovingly renovated and contains way more amenities than you will need unless you plan to grandly entertain! Before my arrival, the basics were placed in the fridge, including gluten-free bread (!) in order to accommodate one of my dietary particularities. The sleeping areas are expansive and very comfortable - including good quality mattresses, bedding, and towels, and the cell, land line, and internet access made contact a breeze. It was a perfect place for me to relax and feel at home after walking all over the city, exceeding my expectations in every way. The owner and caretaker went out of their way for me in every regard. I would highly recommend this to my friends and book there again without hesitation. Krakow is an incredible place!

A luxury weekend for two

Guest: Anonymous
Date of Stay: 09/30/11 Review Submitted: 10/04/11

Our weekend spent in this beautifully decorated appartment was fantastic! It is ideally located on a quiet street yet just around the corner from the lively main square. Not speaking Polish, Greta saw to it that every need was met and that the language barrier was no problem. Thank you again for such a wonderful weekend. We will definitely return!

Beautiful flat in the heard of Krakow!

Guest: Lara Heberle (Greensboro, NC)
Date of Stay: 07/19/11 Review Submitted: 10/03/11

I must say, I was and am still impressed with this beautiful flat so close to the center of Krakow! I stayed here a few years ago and returned a few months ago to stay again. The location combined with the modern amenities are wonderful. Gorgeous tall ceilings, luxury bathroom, modern kitchen and comfortable bedroom and greatroom will be your "home away from home". Check out the diffused lighting on the ceiling in the greatroom. It is fantastic! Even better? The people! We were well taken care of from the booking, to the pre-arranged taxi at the airport, to the breakfast items already in the fridge! They even provided us with a cell phone to use while we stayed. Wow... Look no further... You can't get this type of service from a hotel! This is the perfect place to stay when you visit the beautiful city of Krakow!! =)

A Great Find in Krakow

Guest: Mugsy (Tampa, Fl. USA)
Date of Stay: 08/21/11 Review Submitted: 09/18/11

We loved this apartment: Airy, tasteful, well-equipped and spacious. Also the location -- near the castle, the market square, the green market, the train station and the old Jewish quarter -- was excellent. We walked everywhere, getting to most places by going through the shaded parks and greenways that run through this beautiful city. I can't think of a better place to stay to enjoy it. Both the owner and the apartment manager were very helpful and accommodating, as was the driver whom they got to pick us up at the airport. We highly recommend this lovely apartment.

This should be your base in Krakow

Guest: Terry/Ernst (Amherst, Massachusetts USA)
Date of Stay: 05/30/11 Review Submitted: 06/05/11

A stunning apartment, dating from the eighteenth century and renovated to a very high standard. Convenient on foot to the gorgeous medieval city center, the castle compound, the old Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, and the leafy park that was once a moat. It is lovely to repair to this elegant and comfortable apartment after a hard day (or less) of tourism. You will want to eat in for breakfast, at least, and Sylwia, the excellent concierge, can direct you to a good bakery and a convenient grocery store or two. We highly recommended the English language guided walking tours that begin at the Cloth Hall on the main square. As for eating out, try the mushroom soup at Tutto Bene, a bistro with outdoor tables a block away. Also in Kazimierz is a good sushi restaurant.
