We really enjoyed our stay at this little getaway. It was very secluded, quiet, and had breath taking scenery (especially with the snow that had fallen the day before our arrival). All of the amenities of the house were modern and in great shape. Greatly appreciated not only having the driveway plowed of snow before our arrival, but also having the deck shoveled and the hot tub temperature turned up prior to our arrival. The entire package allowed us to focus our entire efforts on relaxing and enjoying ringing in the new year. We plan on staying here again in the future.

We had a lovely time staying in your cabin! This is such a beautiful and peaceful place! A bear apparently visited outsid ethe cabin on Wednesday night. When we got up, the birdhouse and the bird feeder were broken! Thanks so much for your hospitality.

We recently stayed at their property the Forest House we couldnt ask for better it was away from everything but nice scenic ride to town. There was alot to do we visit the Pueblo Zoo and North Pole.. Nothing like finishing up a long day in a relaxing hot tub. On one of the mornings i woke to find a lil bunny on the side of the cabin :) I definatley recommend The Forest House we will definatley be back :) Thanks for having us.. Eva and Ernest S.

Just wanted to say again how pleased we were with Dear Meadow! The view was great, the hot tub awesome and I cant believe how well supplied the kitchen and bath are! We were talking again the other day about how comfortable the bed in the master suite is, especially the comforter. There is a great amount of space in the house and it is very nicely decorated. Something we do not expect to find in a rental situation. I'm not sure when we will make it back to Colorado, but Dear Meadow is going to be our number one place to stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we had a great time in your cabin home! We even had a few deer come up to the deck when we were using the hot tub! I think you should find that everything is in order and we tried to leave the place fairly clean. On our vacation my husband was reunited with his sister that he was separated from 18 years ago, so it was definitely a memorable experience! We went horseback riding and ATV riding and had a blast! We had a wonderful time. We all loved staying in such a neat and comfortable cabin. I hope that we might be able to return to Colorado and we will certainly will keep your cabin in mind. We were gone when the bear came by. It was all in tack when we left to raft the royal gorge when we came back that evening it was clear that the bear had returned. We did wake up to a herd of elk infront of the deck on the last morning we stayed. That was pretty cool. I got some really good video of them. Thanks again for a memorable stay. We had an awesome time even with the weather! We had a chance to enjoy the Hot Tub in between storms moving in,actually it was kind of fun getting in and running out weathering the storms!!! We did alot of site seeing this time and saw some beautiful country side. You Guy's have an awesome place and we will be back, our grandkids really want to go, but I'm not sure if I want to drive 10 hours plus with my little darlings!!!! Thank You Gay for everything!! Gay and Gary, We had a wonderful time. The weekend get away was just what our family needed. We definitely plan on returning. When we told our 3yr old son it was time to go home, he said "No, this is our home!" The kids especially loved the visit from 5 or 6 deer Saturday evening while soaking in the hot tub. We stayed at Deer Meadow in December of 06. We loved it! The snow was deep and the hot tub was warm! We had a wonderful time. I hated to leave. The cabin was wonderful! Just beware of incoming snow storms.

Thanks, we had a great time. We don't get down that way much, but it's a favorite spot to stay now and then. We loved your place - we actually saw plenty of elk, deer, hummingbirds. The place was very nice - we especially enjoyed the bbq and hot tub. The house was comfortable, close to things we enjoy doing, and the surroundings were beautiful. You do a good job!

Gay: I just wanted to let you know how much my family enjoyed our 4th of July weekend at the Deer Meadow Retreat cabin. It was such a beautiful place. My boys sure enjoyed the hot tub. It had everything we needed to make our meals while we stayed there. We did see 2 deer close to the cabin on Saturday night. The boys and I enjoyed watching them until they were out of sight. We really enjoyed staying at your cabin. It was nice to come "home" to a spacious cabin instead of a cramped hotel room. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. We would definitely recommend your cabin to our family and friends. We enjoyed our friendly visitor "the fox" which my daughter has named "Scotty". Scotty came by to say good bye to us on our last night and to show us the bird he captured for dinner. We were glad to see he was finding something to eat! We have some cute pictures of Scotty which I could forward to you. Staying at the cabin will make a memorable experience for my family. We did have a wonderful time! I have to tell ya, we have stayed in many expensive cabins (which we have spent a arm and a leg for) this time I decided to go cozier and little cheaper since we have been disappointed throughout the years. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of your wonderful little Baby Bear! What a cozy cabin, very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hot tub (sorry to miss your call!) and wood pellet stove -- we'd never seen one before! Mary Anne and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend -- so did Bugsy and Sally, though they were too busy exploring the new sights and scents to relax much. We did drive past your other 2 properties (thanks for allowing that). I especially liked the privacy and beautiful meadow at Deer Meadow Retreat. While I can't make any commitments right now, Deer Meadow is at the top of my list for my family trip in the spring. I hope to firm up plans by Thanksgiving. We sure did appreciate you letting us stay, we just sat around most of the time. It was nice to be able to take 2 naps during the day!! The Hot tub was just what the Dr. Ordered for me and Brett. We sure are jealous! We wish we could get one, one of these days! This was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. The property was clean and well stocked. We have 4 kids ranging in age from 5-14 and enjoyed every minute. It was far enough from other houses that you didn't have any noise, which is surprising considering that there is a busy highway only a short distance away. The only problem we had was that we have a large diesel truck and couldn't make the hairpin turns to get to it and into the driveway. We had to make several tries at it backing up and going forward again. But it could not be helped, and was definitely worth it! There is a nice little grocery store just a few minutes away. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. My kids all had a blast! We would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful accommodations in such a beautiful setting. Three men with our three sons had a great time enjoying the area activities. The altitude provided welcomed coolness from the early August heat at the lower altitudes. The boys enjoyed hours of frolic and play in the valley at the cabin. We enjoyed the jacuzzi at night while watching the stars. Hope to come back again and bring the family / girls.

We had a great time at your cabin! From the deck of the cabin we saw deer, elk, a fox, and, believe it or not, a mountain lion (as we were gettting ready to leave on Tuesday morning my wife heard a gaggle of Magpie's screeching, walked around the back of the house just in time to see the lion moving quickly down the valley). Our activities included a visit to Colo Springs to visit an old friend and to attend a street fair, excellent hikes at "The Crags" and at Mueller State Park, a trip to Garden of the Gods, the Cog Railway, a day-long excursion to the Sand Dunes National Park (long drive, but well worth the trip!), and a tour of the nearby Wolf rescue center. Thank you for making it so easy for us to settle in quickly and enjoy our stay. Jimmy Davis

What a wonderful place for a winter vacation. Our snow shoes got a good workout. The cabin is very cozy and warm and the decor is excellent. The owners know how to take care of their guests. I would recommend a 4 wheel drive for snowy conditions.
