Enjoy the LACK of noise, crowds, or pretensions. Bring your own horses and ride the trails! You can also rent horses as well. "Civilization" is 30 minutes away (Boone, Blowing Rock, Wilkesboro, and Lenoir, North Carolina). Once you visit and enjoy the cool mountain breeze you will not want to leave!

We built this cabin on a dream with little money and a lot of sweat-equity.....in the days when Leatherwood had no bans against noise on the weekends! Started the foundation in May, 1993 and finished in December, 1993! Truly a labor of love! We have pictures of this process in a photo book on the coffee table. Our cabin holds so many precious memories for our family and friends. You'll be hard pressed to find a better view as you sit on our deck---the reason the original developer ear-marked this property as his own. Peaceful, charming, gorgeous views....all tucked away in privacy. Come enjoy our labor-of-love.....and leave your worries behind!
