This home is on a ski-in/out trail, located near the small Mountain village of Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort. The town of Whitefish is a short 10 minute drive down the mountain. Columbia Falls is a half hour away and is the western gateway to Glacier National Park. Big Mountain is accessible by Amtrak to Whitefish and by air to Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, 19 miles away. Shuttle service or car rental is available.

Winter Activities: Big Mountain encompasses 3000 acres and gets 300+ inches of snow offering 20% Beginners, 50% Intermediate and 30% Advanced runs plus unlimited bowl and tree skiing. Ski season is from November 25 to April 10 and there is night-time skiing on weekends. Minimal wait in lift lines and uncrowded runs. Plus groomed Nordic ski runs. Snow tubing and snowmobiling is offered plus guided snowshoe and X/country ski tours in Glacier Park.

  • The house met and exceeded all our expectations, every amenity possible, and a warm fireplace to relax by after a day of skiing. Where else can you ski right on to the private deck of your house/rental unit for a lunch break? Whitefish Mountain Resort has really stepped it up, as far as becoming a world class resort, new ski lifts, snowmobiling, Nordic ski park, and a mountain village with every service you would need for a memorable vacation. I will definitely plan a future vacation around this property if it is still available. Bruce & Teresa.

  • We stayed at this home last summer for a month and it was absolutely wonderful! The home is very well taken care and the accomodations were terrific. The owners are extremely helpful and communicative at all times and are a pleasure to work with. We loved our stay so much last summer, that we are renting the home again for a month this summer. We cannot wait!
