we stayed at villa acropole for 12 days. the view is breathtaking the layout is perfect for 2 to 3 couples. the owners are very wonderful and very helpful with any problems or needs. we hope to stay there again as we just loved the convenience to orient beach,dawn beach,grand case and oyster pond. the pictures were very accurate and the villa was as advertised.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We absolutely loved the house (clean and beautifully decorated) and the area of St Martins that it is located. Orient Bay is so beautiful and the food and locals are amazing! We'll be back real soon for sure!

My husband and I just got home from almost a week at Acropole. We loved it! The pictures are very accurate showing the villa just as we found it. The view is even better than you can imagine. From the outdoor areas you have a pararomic 180 degree view of orient beach. I have never stayed in a place in SXM that has a veiw like this! We enjoyed the pool as well as several of the outdoor areas for dining and relaxing. The gourmet kitchen was wonderful. Zuzu was very accomodating. She and I had many email conversations prior to our arrival. We can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Villa Acropole for three weeks in August-September 2010. The place was beautiful, with a fabulous panoramic view of the ocean and the mountains; views from every window of the house! I have to say, the pictures of the villa on the website are exactly as advertised! The owners, Zuzu and Alain, are very responsive and helpful, and came by and fixed things right away when needed. We were there during Hurricane Earl, and they came and put everything away etc. to get us ready! It wasn't too bad (only Category two) but we were happy with their help and advice. Very spacious home with great pool and outside sitting area and dining room. The house is very nicely decorated with indonesian furniture. There are TWO living rooms! The three bedrooms are very nice, the two guest bedrooms are smaller than the main one but have updated bathrooms, while the master bedroom has a very large bathroom but could use some updating. Nevertheless, things worked fine, including a washer and dryer. Great maid service every couple of days or so - she did a very good job. The house is about ten minutes walk to the beach, or you can drive there in a couple of minutes. We always rent a car in St-Martin because it is easier to get around. There is a small grocery store in the area (with fresh baguette and croissants every morning..) or you can drive five minutes down the road to the supermarche in Grand-Case. Except for the two days of the Hurricane, we had mostly beautiful weather for the three weeks. Lots of great restaurants in the area on the beach or in Grand-Case. Try Piazza Pascal, we highly recommend. The Dutch side is also very nice, with shopping, casinos, beaches, restaurants, etc. The villa was a great home base to come home to every day. And the view!!!!! We have been to St-Martin about six times, and this was our first time at a villa, and we would definitely recommend it. Merci Zuzu et Alain, et a la prochaine visite!

My husband and I stayed at Villa Acropole for two weeks in April 2010 with two other couples. We will be staying there again in March 2011 for 2 weeks. The villa is great! Very roomy, so that we could all have privacy. Wonderful pool and view. Close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, etc. Everything you could want is close by. Zuzu is wonderful and her staff is very accomodating. We have been going to St. Martin since 1992 and have stayed in alot of different places from villas to resorts. This is the best yet. Can't wait to go back in March. Only wish we could stay longer!

Along with our three daughters, we just spent a week at the villa and loved every minute. It is well kept and in a great location with a fabulous view. The owners were very easy to work with. This is a great deal during the off season. We would go back.

The villa was fantastic ... we were 4 adults and a 12 year old. There was tons of space, with different areas inside and out on the terrace/pool area to relax, chill out and enjoy the spectacular view. The decor/ambiance is exotic and comfortable, not the bland experience at most hotels. Location is convenient - Orient Beach is a 5 minute walk and there are also quite a few good restaurants nearby (but a rental car is recommended for grocery shopping and flexibility to explore other areas of the island). We wished we could have stayed another week!

We had a wonderful time. This place was more outstanding than the beautiful pictures displayed. Little added extras not mentioned in the listing include private bathrooms in each of the bedrooms, cleaning service, and ask ZuZu's help with car rental or just about anything else (great advice on local restaurants and activities). If you want to be at St. Maarten near Orient Beach (walking distance) Vila Acropole is the place to be. Enjoy.

Villa Acropole is an incredible place with views much more incredible then photos on a web site could present. Zuzu is a wonderful person to rent from and her son and daughter have two great restaurants that we ate at, KokoMarina, on the beautiful beach and Rancho Del Sol, right up the street from the villa, with great views. Our family of 5 stayed there the first week in August and all of us had a magnificent time. The pool, views and the spaciousness of the villa had us all instantly unwound. The village of Orient Beach is charming with some very nice restaurants. The beach is extraordinary, as all the beaches were on the island. We were very content at Orient Beach, a short walk from the villa, but did drive over to Dawn’s Beach and Bay Rouge. Both were also very wonderful and great for snorkeling! The villa is also close to the ferry boats that go to Illet Pinel, where the snorkeling is also easy. All have beach bars and restaurants. The villa is also a quick drive to Grand Case, where there is even more great dining and shopping. We also spent a couple of nights utilizing the villa’s gas barbeque and grilled some steaks and chicken after a long day at the beach. The kitchen is very well outfitted. We really can not say enough about our time at Villa Acropole except it was too short. It’s really not a question of if we would go back, but when! Feel free to e-mail any questions. We stayed at ACROPOLE for a week in early May. We had a wonderful time. Zuzu is wonderful to deal with not only before hand but while we were there. We ate at KokoMarina and Rancho Del Sol and both were great. The house is more beautiful than in the pictures. The outside space is wonderful and the pool was a delight. The view it absolutely wonderful. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the view. We had 6 people total so it was perfect with the 3 bedrooms and 3 private baths. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances etc. Overall a great trip and would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to spend a great time relaxing. You can walk to the beach easily which we did often. There are many conveniences and it is very safe. Thanks Zuzu for everything - all was perfect. We loved the grill and the bar by the pool. We just returned from a fabulous week at the Acropole Villa. The villa is located in a very quiet yet convenient area on the french side of the island. The accommodations are very spacious both on the inside and out. We LOVED having the pool and all the outdoor seating areas and spent most of our time there. ZuZu and her son are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The housekeeping staff was very efficient, thorough and unobtrusive. The views are fantastic with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the villa. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We are returning to Villa Acropole in 11 Days for our 2nd stay along with 2 other couples. It is a very beautiful & spacious villa for 3 couples. It was nice to have our own private pool. The panoramic view was great. We had a great time on our first visit, will have a great time this year and plan to return again next year.

Acropole Villa is a wonderful place to stay for a vacation on Orient Bay. The villa is so well equiped and spacious.Zuzu is so friendly and great to deal with. The views are spectacular and the pool is great. Overall we can't say enough about the property. Also try KokoMarina on Orient Beach. They provided us with beach chairs and the food was great. Everyone is so pleasant.

Acropole Villa is wonderful. Very spacious and well equiped with everything you need and more. Zuzu is wonderful to rent from. Very accomodating. KokoMarina's is also great. Eveyone is so friendly. I highly recomend this property to everyone. Views and pool are great along with location. Can't say enough about it.
