  Whilst in Italy we stayed in Varenna on Lake Como and in Portofino, but our favourite by far was Stresa Residence and Stresa itself. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us good advice on the area, I would recommend this to anyone. 5 out of 5!

  The apartment is right in the centre of Stresa, with many bars, restaurants, shops and the lake within easy walking distance. Two of the restaurants are a few doors away. Stresa is a beautiful town and we would love to visit again in the summer. Boat trips are available from the ferry terminal where you can visit the islands within the lake. Although the house on Bella Island wasnt open during the time we visited, you could still disembark and have a walk around part of the island. The apartment was exactly the same as the pictures, lovely and clean. The bed drops down from the wall and the kitchen area is hidden behind wall cupboards, which made the apartment spacious. Everything was brand new with a lovely bathroom and walk in shower. It also had self adjusting heating controls, which made the apartment really comfortable and warm during our stay. There is a balcony overlooking the street and quite a large terrace area though the bathroom, with table and chairs for four people. The communication between Chantal and the owner was very helpful, friendly and efficient. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend to anyone. If you want to stay in Stresa, it is ideal for a couple who enjoy the Italian hospitality and eating out.

  We were looking for a centrally located place to stay, where we did not need a car but we did not want to pay the high hotel prices in Stresa. The Stresa Residence was just what we wanted. Although we visited the town out of season, there was still plenty to see and do in Stresa and around Lake Maggiore. The whole area is very beautiful and Stresa itself is a very elegant town with its grand hotels and promenade. The lake is minutes away and a variety of restaurants and shops as well as a very good supermarket are literally on the doorstep. The railway station is a 10 minute walk and there is a bus-stop virtually outside the flat. The house which is located in an area closed to traffic is divided into 2 studio flats and a larger apartment for 5 which is on two floors. Although right in the centre, it is very quiet (the flat is double-glazed and only noise one really hears is the intermittent sound of the church bells!). The flat had a good size terrace with table and chairs and we were able to eat outside. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained and furnished in a modern, restful style with plenty of storage space, a lovely bathroom and a comfortable pull-down bed. The kitchenette area is quite simple but had all the requisites for preparing and cooking meals, including a dishwasher, mini-oven and kettle. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Last but not least, the WiFi was very fast! We would highly recommend it!

  We spent a very enjoyable week in the beautiful town of Stresa last Autumn. The flat which is bright and modern is well equipped and finished to a high standard and has everything to make it a pleasant base. It is brilliantly located in the charming old town centre of Stresa with its narrow, cobbled streets bustling with shops and restaurants yet the apartment it is very peaceful and tranquil as there is no traffic. There is a small terrace to the back of the property with pretty views over the hills and is somewhere to relax outside. The owner is very helpful and is to hand should you need him. Lake Maggiore which is stunningly beautiful is a few minutes away and you can see it if you look right out of the window. It offers many boat trips (even to Switzerland) and you can go and have lunch or dinner on the islands on the Lake or just go for a stroll along the promenade which is a pleasure in itself. The station is a short walk away and if you fancy a trip to town for some serious shopping or sight-seeing, Milan is only a 40 minutes train journey. For a relaxing holiday with superb scenery and food, I would highly recommend it.

  En plein coeur du centre de Stresa et à 2 minutes du lac, ce splendide appartement moderne et pratique correspond exactement aux photos publiées. A proximité des commerces et d'un parking, l'emplacement est idéal. Nous y avions été un week end avec notre petite fille et tous les équipements pour bébé étaient à disposition. Appartement bien équipé et propre, rien à redire. Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire lors de notre arrivée. Nous recommandons ces appartements sans hésitation.

  Die Wohnung ist funktional eingerichtet, sehr sauber und neu renoviert. Die Lage ist ganz hervorragend - mitten in der Fußgängerzone von Stresa, keine 5 Minuten zum See und der Schiffsanlegestelle. Restaurants, Geschäfte und Supermarkt sind alle innerhalb weniger Meter zu erreichen. Man ist mitten im Zentrum ohne ständigem Autolärm ausgesetzt zu sein. Das Parken kann unter Umständen etwas kompliziert sein - aber der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und zeigt die geeigneten Plätze. Unter dem Strich hatten wir eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche in Stresa mit einem idealen Ausgangspunkt für alle unsere Unternehmungen. (Ehepaar ohne Kinder, Deutschland)

  Nous avons pris le studio, l'appartement est magnifique, décoré avec goût et très bien situé : en plein centre de Stresa sans avoir du bruit le soir, parfait ! Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux. J'en garde un excellent souvenir. Allez-y les yeux fermés !!!
