THE CONDO(s): These two (2) condos can be rented individually or together, as there is a lockable door that connects the studio condo to the livingroom of the one bedroom condo. Rent them together or separately. Both condos have private, third floor balconies that face the Sea of Cortez. Both have air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans in every room.
THE AREA: The Costa Azul Beach is quiet, and is the longest sandy beach in all of Los Cabos. San Jose del Cabo is a slower paced historic Colonial Mexican town, well known for great shops and restaurants. If you want more action, Cabo San Lucas is only twenty minutes away. 9 hole golf course and many 18 hole courses nearby.
CLIMATE: Temperatures are generally in the mid 80s, but it gets cooler in mid winter and warmer in mid summer, and hot in August, September and October.
THE BEACH AND POOL: Our beach and/or pool are never crowded. We provide beach towels, beach chairs, & umbrellas for the beach. The pool off the balcony is actually the Playa del Sol Hotel pool. Our pool is to the left of this view in the photo, on the east side of our condo. About 75 feet further to the east from that pool is the second La Jolla pool, which is a little smaller than the main pool.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The one bedroom condo has a king size bed. The studio has a queen bed. Both condos have one single roll-away bed, and both also have queen size fold out sofa. Each condo accommodates up to four (4) people maximum, but are better suited for two or three people. By renting both condominiums you can accommodate up to eight (8) people maximum, as there are enough sleeping accommodations, though that would be crowded. The one bedroom condo is 850 square feet, the studio is 650 square feet. In Mexico, the square footage quoted always includes the area on the balconies.
WIFI INTERNET: If you have a laptop, free Highspeed Wireless Internet is available. Connectivity is available at our pool, and is provided at no cost by the La Jolla Condo Homeowners Association. You can also get WIFI signal from the balconies if you put the laptop on the railing. The railing is about 20" deep, so there is a place to set it. The strongest signal to be found is right at the pool.

- Air Conditioning : New forced air, not window air conditioning. If you see any through the wall air conditioning units in our photos, they have since been replaced with these new units that are totally quiet. We also have overhead fans in all of the rooms.
- Linens Provided : All bed linens of 400 threads per inch (or more)quality, and all good pillows, towels, and beach towels are provided.
- Off Street Parking : Parking is at foot of stairs in front of condo for easy access.

- King Bed : The one bedroom condo has a king size bed, and the connected studio condo has a queen size bed. Both have queen size sofa beds and a single roll away bed. Remember, these are typically rented seperately, but can be rented together.

- Twin/Single Bed : Each of our two condos has a single roll away bed.

- Cable/Satellite TV : Satellite TV in both condos, including HBO and ESPN. We have a TV in the bedroom of the one bedroom condo, one in the living room, and one in the studio condo.

- VCR
- Video Library : We have nice selection of DVDs and VCR movies, but if you want to rent, there is a Blockbuster rental store in San Jose.

- Stereo System
- Music Library : Each condo has a portable stereo. We have a book of CDs, many Flamenco and misc. tunes, including many Mexican CDs.
- Shared Pool : Pool is heated in winter & has all new pool furniture. The pool is between the condo and the beach. The pool in the photos is the pool for Playa del Sol Hotel, and our pool is further to the east on the side of our building.
- Kitchen
- Full Kitchen : Recently remodeled kitchen with counters of hand painted tile. Both kitchens are fully stocked with everything you will need. BOTH KITCHENS HAVE FILTERED WATER AT THE SINK. You can walk to the little Trader Dicks Mini Store about two hundred yards away, or drive or take the bus to the Mega Super Store about a mile from the condo, towards San Jose del Cabo.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : All cooking utensils are provided, as kitchen is fully stocked, including seasonings, etc. Microwave, blender, coffee maker, and everything you can think of. Also, there is an electric orange juice machine in one bedroom condo.
- Refrigerator : Nice, full size refrigerators in both condos.
- Dishwasher : New dishwasher in one bedroom condo.
- Microwave : Convection Microwave in one bedroom condo and regular microwave in studio condo.
- Outdoor Features
- Gas/Electric BBQ Grill : Both condos have nice, full size gas grills on the balconies. Each BBQ has an extra side burner.
- Balcony : Balcony overlooks Playa del Sol pool and beach which is a great outdoor space with table and chairs for dining or just basic recreation. Awesome ocean views from the baconies. We recommend that you leave the sliding doors open at night so that the sounds of the surf can be enjoyed as you sleep.
- View/Location
- Beachfront : We are located on the beach, with one of the best views imaginable. Our one bedroom condo has two times more balcony space than most all other one bedroom condos in the La Jolla condo complex. Our building is the only building in the complex that has an ocean facing balcony outside of the living room AND bedroom. The other one bedroom condos have the bedroom in the back of the building. And, our building is the third floor, facing the beach, offering unparalelled views and balcony space for a one bedroom condo. Combine that with the studio, which has its own ocean facing balcony, it makes these two adjoining, or seperate, condos the best value and views in of La Jolla. Rent them together or just one.

- Oceanfront : The ocean is visible from these condos, and there are no other properties between this property and the ocean besides the Playa del Sol Hotel swimming pool which you look over. No one can see into these condos from any angle.

- Telephone : We have a telephone in the one bedroom condo only, with an extension in the bedroom, for free local calls and emergency US calls.
- Cell Phone : Pay-as-you-go cell phones are available for your use in both condos.

I just returned from spending five nights in both of these condos with my husband and our twelve year old twin daughters. This was our first trip to Baja and we are so glad that we stayed here! Here are my pros and cons: PROS: 1. These condos were very clean and immaculately maintained. The photos and description on the VRBO listing and the owner's Web site are both great representations of what you can expect, which is to say a comfortable stay in a convenient and beautiful location. The condo complex and grounds are attractive and well maintained. Both of the swimming pools are very nice and were never crowded. 2. Great communication and help from the owners. Bette and Terren were both so helpful in answering all of my many, many questions. 3. Like many people, I had some reservations about going to Mexico because of the reports of the drug related violence going on. Let me reassure you that we felt completely safe at all times. I would not hesitate to take my family back. The locals met were nothing but kind, warm and hospitable. 4. The location of these condos is very convenient to anything you might need. It's an easy 20 minute drive to Cabo San Lucas. 5. Driving in Baja was easy. People are courteous and obey the traffic laws. 6. There's miles and miles of uncrowded, gorgeous beaches with clean, fine sand. 7. There is lots to do in the area if you feel like being active. I especially recommend the Outback Camel Safari with Cabo Adventures. This was the highlight of our trip. Check their Web site for details. CONS: 1. The surf is too dangerous for swimming and the waves were never good for Boogie boarding while we were there. We went in the water, but only up to our knees. There are good swimming beaches nearby, though. 2. The surf is very loud at night and will keep you awake if you are a light sleeper. So loud in fact, that the noise makes the sliding glass doors rattle when they are closed. 3. There isn't an elevator in the complex so count on hauling your luggage up three flights of stairs to get to the condo. Obviously, the pros out weigh the cons! I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. Happy travels!
Owner response: We love hearing about our guests' visits because although everyone says they had a great time, we still hear about new things, such as the Outback Camel Safari. We weren't familiar with that one and look forward to checking it out! There are times that we are unable to swim in the ocean while at the condo. That is often the case in the summer, but not as often at this time of year. Occasionally the booming surf can be something to behold! We love it either way & when it isn't swimable, we use it as an excuse to explore other beaches in the area as these guests did. We are on the 3rd floor so there are two flights of stairs, not three. Usually there are employees around the property who are happy to help carry bags upstairs for a small tip. I always wait for them to carry our heavy bags. We love the beach, pools, grounds, and everything else about La Jolla and enjoy sharing it with our guests. We hope you will like it as much as we do. It is a great place to get away from it all.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Once again we stayed at this PERFECT condo. LaJolla has to be one of the most peaceful places on earth. If you rent from anyone else, you're not getting a 5 star facility. Bring your swim suit for the day and a couple pairs of shorts for the evening! Nothing else is needed....The condo is equipped with everything else... We've already planned our next visit.

What an amazingly fun and relaxing 5 days we had at the studio condo! My only complaint is that our stay was way too short!!
