This one bedroom condo is a true gem. Pictures do not do it justice. The view is spectacular off of a large and very private balcony equipped with lots seating to enjoy the view. The condo was very clean and extremely well stocked, every staple you need and more, including lovely glassware and everything else you could need in the kitchen. The bedroom was a wonderful surprise, as most one bedrooms at La Jolla have only window facing the outer walkway in the building, this one has a large patio door facing the ocean - beautiful to wake up to. Lots of light and privacy. There is pleny of closet and drawer space. The security system on the door is very effective and simple to use. Everything is there, from flashlights to beach bags and more. I have rented at La Jolla before, and this condo was a wonderful surprise all around. The grounds at La Jolla, as always, are beautiful and the people are always very friendly and helpful. It is very much a community. I would highly recommend this condo. It's everything you need and more. Thank you Bette for making everything so very nice, and so easy.

We just spent a great week in this unit. It has a great deck with an awesome view of the ocean. The kitchen is really well equipped and the BBQ seems brand new. The complex has two pools and the grounds are really pretty. The beach in front of the property is terrific...wide with white sand and lounge chairs provided. This is a quiet complex. If you are looking for a good place to unwind and relax, you just found it.

I just returned from spending five nights in both of these condos with my husband and our twelve year old twin daughters. This was our first trip to Baja and we are so glad that we stayed here! Here are my pros and cons: PROS: 1. These condos were very clean and immaculately maintained. The photos and description on the VRBO listing and the owner's Web site are both great representations of what you can expect, which is to say a comfortable stay in a convenient and beautiful location. The condo complex and grounds are attractive and well maintained. Both of the swimming pools are very nice and were never crowded. 2. Great communication and help from the owners. Bette and Terren were both so helpful in answering all of my many, many questions. 3. Like many people, I had some reservations about going to Mexico because of the reports of the drug related violence going on. Let me reassure you that we felt completely safe at all times. I would not hesitate to take my family back. The locals met were nothing but kind, warm and hospitable. 4. The location of these condos is very convenient to anything you might need. It's an easy 20 minute drive to Cabo San Lucas. 5. Driving in Baja was easy. People are courteous and obey the traffic laws. 6. There's miles and miles of uncrowded, gorgeous beaches with clean, fine sand. 7. There is lots to do in the area if you feel like being active. I especially recommend the Outback Camel Safari with Cabo Adventures. This was the highlight of our trip. Check their Web site for details. CONS: 1. The surf is too dangerous for swimming and the waves were never good for Boogie boarding while we were there. We went in the water, but only up to our knees. There are good swimming beaches nearby, though. 2. The surf is very loud at night and will keep you awake if you are a light sleeper. So loud in fact, that the noise makes the sliding glass doors rattle when they are closed. 3. There isn't an elevator in the complex so count on hauling your luggage up three flights of stairs to get to the condo. Obviously, the pros out weigh the cons! I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. Happy travels!

Owner response: We love hearing about our guests' visits because although everyone says they had a great time, we still hear about new things, such as the Outback Camel Safari. We weren't familiar with that one and look forward to checking it out! There are times that we are unable to swim in the ocean while at the condo. That is often the case in the summer, but not as often at this time of year. Occasionally the booming surf can be something to behold! We love it either way & when it isn't swimable, we use it as an excuse to explore other beaches in the area as these guests did. We are on the 3rd floor so there are two flights of stairs, not three. Usually there are employees around the property who are happy to help carry bags upstairs for a small tip. I always wait for them to carry our heavy bags. We love the beach, pools, grounds, and everything else about La Jolla and enjoy sharing it with our guests. We hope you will like it as much as we do. It is a great place to get away from it all.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Once again we stayed at this PERFECT condo. LaJolla has to be one of the most peaceful places on earth. If you rent from anyone else, you're not getting a 5 star facility. Bring your swim suit for the day and a couple pairs of shorts for the evening! Nothing else is needed....The condo is equipped with everything else... We've already planned our next visit.

What an amazingly fun and relaxing 5 days we had at the studio condo! My only complaint is that our stay was way too short!! Ideal weather (even with one day of rare rain), excellent meals and the condo is just ideal in every way. Bette has thought of EVERYTHING to make this a model vacation rental. Thanks so much!!

What a clean and fully equipped condo Mark and Bette provide! They made it feel as though we were renting from family. Masks, snorkels, fins, beer and water were all awaiting our arrival. We felt very at home while on vacation.

Kathleen and I had the pleasure of staying in both the one bedroom and studio condos. The accomodations were fabulous in every way. The views from either unit are spectacular, the beaches are gorgeous and the service is the best in Baja, hands down. We give it a 5 out of 5 star rating!! You will love it!!

We spent two wonderful weeks (May 11-23, 2008) in this condo, and couldn't have been happier. It is very tastefully decorated in the Mexican style, and anything and everything you'd want or need is provided. We really felt at home there, and the weeks we were there we practically had the entire place to ourselves. We didn't rent a car and did ok. Several good restaurants within walking distance. We'd walk to Mega and take a taxi ($5.00) back with our groceries. We used the public transportation to go down to Cabo San Lucas, and we had no problems. We felt very safe in this area. We'd definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Jolla. It was such a beautiful view from the Studio and you have it so well equipped. We highly recommend it to anyone and plan to stay at the Studio again in a couple of years.

We were in Cabo over the Christmas week in 2007 - with our four children - teenage through early 20s. We rented both units, and had plenty of room and privacy. The kitchens were well stocked, and it was very convenient to the MEGA as well as several restaurants. The grounds and beach were well maintained and clean, and the facility management team handled any issues - they even brought out extra lounge chairs when all were used during this busy week. The units were very nicely decorated with plenty of furniture for everyone. There were a lot of little extras - such as walkie-talkies, a local cell phone, boogie board - that made our vacation that much easier. There were plenty of beach towels, as well as linens and bath towels if we ever needed everything. Thanks Bette and Mark for sharing your wonderful condo with us.

My friend and I rented the one-bedroom and the studio condos for a week. It was a great setup for friends with the right amount of privacy and togetherness. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and cooked several awesome meals with fresh seafood, steak and chicken from the Mega that's nearby. We had a great time and would definitely return to these condos.

Mu husband and I just returned from spending Thanksgiving week at this special place, our first week long vacation in some time - and it was much needed! Bette and Mark have done a wonderful job creating a space where you can relax, enjoy, and feel at home. We highly recommend it - waking up to the beautiful view and going to sleep to the waves is priceless, having breakfast every day on the patio looking out at the ocean was a dream, walking on the beach, and it was so fun experiencing the local restaurants! We loved the restaurant Guacamayas!! If you are looking for rest, peace, beauty and down time, this is THE place - and we loved listening to your CD collection of mexican guitar music, this made the experience even more fun! Our only tip is a safety one - be careful if you cross the highway at night - bring a flashlight because it's really dark! We spent two weeks here in August '06. Overall we had a super time. Some tips: -Chileno beach was the best for sunbathing and snorkeling. -Surfing was great to the right of condo down by the bar. -Take the 1/2 day quad ride to the dunes from the Presidente, great fun. -Spend your time in San Jose, Cabo is expensive and jammed. -Gum drops in little bag with the red top at Mega are very tasty. -Grills on the patio work great. -Bring a deck of cards, sometimes it rained or was hot. (A/C worked great) -Best to rent both units, kids in 1 BR, parents in studio! -Get the little cans of coconut stuff at Costco, it makes great Pina Colada's. -Dress lightly for Mass in San Jose, it's packed and no A/C. They do the readings in both English and Spanish. -Take a drive out of town (not just to Cabo). The area is beautiful and the little villages really cool. We will return to see the whales!

Any of you wanting to wake up in a Corona commericial will love this place. We just got back after spending the last two weeks of November. Opened the blinds and the sliding glass door and kept them open the entire time. Each day would start with a beautiful view (from the bed)of the sunrise and the swaying palms. Can't get any better than that. The condo is beautifully equipped and decorated....wonderful place. We have stayed at many places in the La Jolla complex over the years and this is definately my favorite. Will definately return...as soon as possible.

This was our second visit to this little slice of paradise. We couldn't imagine a more ideal setting. Situated on the beach overlooking one of the three pools in the complex~the views are spectacular. There are many quaint little shops in the charming nearby town of San Jose del Cabo.Yet dining on the balcony watching the beautiful sunset is equally appealing~especially w/ the well-stocked kitchen provided by the hosts. In fact there are no amenities lacking~ from beach umbrellas and chairs to snorkeling and golf gear. The walkie-talkies proved to be a huge asset which allowed us to keep in touch w/ our teenaged kids as they explored on their own. I visited the lovely Cabo/La Jolla Complex in May and with perfect weather the beautifully landscaped, oceanview, one bedroom condo was comfortable,convenient, clean and carefree. I loved the condo's amenities including outdoor living on the balcony, a nicely equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, Mexican decor and music. The views are ocean front- sand and sea framed by lovely palm trees, flowers and pools-beautiful! The nearby town of San Jose del Cabo is charming and authentic and the place to find great dining and shopping-I can't wait to return and explore more. I might even take another surfing lesson! during ourvisit in spring of 2004, i was drawn to the beach for most sunrises. the pelican dawn patrol, hundreds of jumping fish, first rays of sun peeking through magenta clouds... all mesmerizing. one morning i saw 11 gray whale breachings! fantastic local nightlife including 4 bars w/i walking distance. nearby kayak and snorkle rentals, awesome quad running to buzzards bar....it just doesn't get much better than this!! i can hardly wait to return to paradise. thanks mark and bette...xo

I don't know how there could be a negative comment about your condo. Susan and I stayed for a week last Jan and had a great time. The condo is all you said it would be and more. I stayed in the one bedroom. The view was spectacular consisting of the ocean and the pool with much privacy on the deck. The condo was very clean decorated in a Mexican theme. Some extras: walkie talkies, beach supplies, and a car. You can take nice long walks on the beach. I would highly recommend this condo. I had very much fun!!! Kathleen
