My friends and I love traveling to St John and I have stayed at the Pillsbury Sound House four times. I am always more amazed with every stay! The house is spacious, beautify decorated, clean, and well stocked with towels, linens, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and cooking supplies. The views from the deck and balcony are like something out of a dream, looking onto the gorgeous blue Caribbean Sea during the day and the beautifully lit up island of St. Thomas at night. The location of the house is ideal, tucked into the island side assuring a quiet stay with plenty of privacy, but it is still only minutes from the shopping and dining of the town and all of the fabulous beaches. The jeep provided is also an awesome added bonus! It was spacious enough to comfortably fit all 5 of us as well as our beach supplies and got us everywhere we needed to be. After leaving the Pillsbury Sound House you will be counting the days until you can return again!

My 4 friends and i escaped the cold Connecticut weather and arrived at the Pillsbury sound house in January. We cannot extend our gratitude to the owners of this beautiful house enough. The house has an instant welcoming feeling with lots of room and a huge deck (it had all the beach supplies towels and linen needed also a washer and dryer so we only needed to bring a carry on bag for the plane ride) the view from the deck is incredible it's a view we will never forget. Also it is close to town my friends and I were able to walk downtown to shop and go out for a drink. This house also included a new jeep so we were able to put all the beach supplies right in the trunk and head to the beach it's only a 5-10 minute ride. From the friendly helpful owners the view and the upkeep of this home it is a place we cannot wait to go back to next year to relax, get away and enjoy the warm weather. The stay at Pillsbury sound house made our vacation perfect!

My friend and I stayed at Pillsbury Sound House this past December. After sifting through many rentals we came across this house because we liked the idea that the 2 bedrooms were in 2 different dwellings. I stayed in the cabana bedroom and my friend stayed in the main house. It was perfect on those days where you just wanted a little extra privacy. It's very private and secure and the sunset view was spectacular. Many other homes of this size were much more expensive. The kitchen was large and airy and the outdoor dining worked out wonderfully. The chirping of outdoor nature was melodic and the many iguanas that hung in the trees made for a spectacular vacation.

I can never get enough of St. John and Pillsbury Sound House. This is the most comfortable and relaxing place you can imagine. Incredible views from the deck. Morning coffee and Bailey's and a magazine looking at St Thomas and counting Iguanas in the tree tops. Great wide open kitchen with everything you need to make anything you want. I have had the pleasure to stay at this house with friends and family one of which tries to keep the roof blue every couple of years. You may want to bring a few of your favorite movies and crash on the comfortable couch over and over. If you are looking to relax and get away from it all this is the best place to be.

I rented the Pillsbury Sound House for 10 nights, 2/30/12- 3/10/12. My rental agreement included the use of the Jeep. The day before I arrived the owner called to inform me that the Jeep was broken down. I called every car rental company on STJ. I literally got the only vehicle available on STJ due to a cancellation, which cost me a total of $823. I asked the owner to reimburse me for the rental amount, but she would only reimburse me for the amount of the Jeep "code-share" listed on the rental agreement, which was significantly less the what it actually cost to rent a vehicle. Beware. The internet was not reliable and only worked only half the time. The house is "tired. For example, 4 of the 6 beach chairs were broken, the snorkel gear was pretty much nonexistent (bring your own), the bed sheets were thin and pilled and felt like sleeping on sandpaper, the Igloo cooler top did not lock into place and twice all the contents in the cooler dumped on the ground. The house could also use a good clean. When I emailed the owner photos of the cleanliness issues, she said, "You should have talked to the caretaker or called the cleaning woman". Fair enough, but I expect a property of this caliper to be clean without me having to complain to get it done. The master suite, which is detached from the main house, has 2 large double doors that open onto a deck with great views. When the doors were open there were no screens and no way to keep the creepy crawly critters out. Therefore, I kept the doors closed which made the room very dark and it smelled very musty. The bed in the queen bedroom literally takes up the whole room. The loft is open to the living area and is subject to all the noise from the house. On a positive note, the location of the home is good, close to town and the market. The caretaker is nice.

The most gorgeous view of Pillsbury Sound. Our stay was a girls week. The house was roomy, comfortable and beautiful. The beds were super comfortable! Lots of linens and towels. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes and cooking stuff. There are fans and a/c. The house has a nice deck and patio where we spent most of our time. There is plenty of snorkeling gear and beach chairs. The wading pool is perfect for cooling off. There are 4 lounge chairs on the deck to sun bath. The use of the jeep is worth it's weight in gold! Some suggestions would be bring bug spray! Everything is close to this house. The beaches and town are 5-10 minutes away. I would highly recommended staying here! Can't wait to go back.

There are many words to describe PSH. One word that comes up often is breathtaking. It is a beautiful and peaceful location with a view to die for. The accommodations are fantastic and the ability to be separate with the cottage from the main house is very nice and private. =) We have stayed here for many years and will continue to stay here year after year. We frequent STJ at least twice a year and we never even consider looking at another location to stay at. The house is maintained perfectly and the plunge pool is exactly what you would want after a long day at the beaches....or simply on just days you feel like just vegging home. I highly recommend PSH, its just a short walk from downtown Cruzy Bay with all the great food/drink and shopping. Very convenient and very beautiful.

I was lucky to spend my vacation in June at this beautiful house with beautiful view. The house is well located, few minutes walk to the centre yet very quaint place. I have never stayed at better place than this during my travels and felt like I was staying in my own house. This property is not only beautiful but very inviting and comfortable. I highly recommended for your next vacation. Feel free to send me an email if you have any further questions.

I spent my vacation in June and stayed in thsi amazing house in Cruz Bay. The house is very welcoming, warm, comfortable and inviting. The views are amazing and the location is great since one can walk to the center. Even though it is very near to the centeral but still quaint. Also the owner is very nice and the process of renting is an easy process.

Our families, the Rogers and the newlyweds, the smiths wish to thank you for our opportunity to share your home on St. John island. Being from the mountains in eastern Tennessee, it seemed like home except for the tropical vegetation instead of oaks and pines and the beaches instead of rocky streams. Your home offered the perfect setting to a wonderful week and preparaation spot for Debra and Todd's wedding. This "home" also gave our entire family to spend together for the first time in several years. Again, thank you for the availability to dwell in St. John and we have already began discussions to return. A fantastic week but not enough time to see everything!

The Pillsbury Sound House is a wonderful place for a getaway with family and/or friends. It is complete with all the amenities. We have stayed here 5 gimes. Watching St. Thomas light up at night is a sight to behold. My daughter was married at Cinnamon and honeymooned in the cottage while friends and family shared the house. The owner's artwork and personal touches are visible throughout the home. Our favorite spot is the huge deck which overloolks Pillsbury sound. We began and ended each day on the deck. the home was clean and well maintained and had everything necessary to have a fabulous vacation.

I first stayed here in 2000 and fell in love! Not only are you in paradise, but the house is a vacation home away from home. You ARE home at this house and have amazing views. Everything is there waiting for you. There is a full kitchen, space that is light and airy and the feel of a tree house with the Brazilian Tree trunk in the middle of the house (totally cool!) You deal right with the owners and they are so nice. They take pride with the house and have always aimed to please. Walking downtown is easy and fast. Catching a taxi up the hill is cheap and easy when you had to many drinks (PAINKILLERS!). Dinners out on the porch are the best. The little pool is a great way to enjoy your gin and tonic! The house keeps getting better and better every time because the owners make improvements themselves. You feel more at home each day and each time! You can spot it also when you arrive on the ferry! It is on the left side of the hill with the double blue roof. On the roof is this coopala (sp?) where you and a special someone can take in all of the beauty. This is the only place that I will stay when I am in Saint John! I have been to the Westin and Caneel but Pillsbury is where to stay. It is a great place for couples and families. Each time I have stayed (5 times) I have cried when I go home to New Jersey. You will never want to go leave!
