My mother, sister, and I rented this charming home for a ladies' country getaway to celebrate my mother's 74th birthday in early October. This property had exactly the combination we were looking for, and we plan to come back again as soon as we can coordinate schedules. Early October was just the right time to catch the fall foliage at its peak at Lake Naomi. And every member of our posse found exactly what she was looking forward to most. Mom stayed mostly indoors, enjoying the lazy chair next to the fire and plenty of light from the surrounding windows and sun lights to work on her crafts. The single-floor aspect to the home also made it very easy for her to get around. My sister made great use of the fireside living room ambience for reading and even enjoyed staying in the Mickey Mouse bedroom. I love to cook and got to prepare a number of meals for the group. The kitchen was very well-stocked with cooking equipment as well as basic ingredients, and the house was incredibly clean. The 3 bedrooms were big and bright too. The outside patio and barbecue grill were in great condition as well, complete with a full extra propane tank. My chocolate lab also got maximum enjoyment out of the weekend, because we were able to go hiking several times a day along the various forest trails and stream within a couple minutes' walk of the front door. And they aren't kidding when they say you can walk to Lake Naomi. It's literally across the cul-de-sac and down a very short path. The trip was actually short enough that my mom felt comfortable enough not taking the car and making the walk with her walker. Needless to say, my lab swam so much in the lake that he'd come back with only enough energy to get dried off, flop on the floor by the fire, and fall asleep. Groceries were readily available at a nearby IGA store and there was even a nice copper artisan shop along the way with unique handiwork. I'd definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away into the country. We took a slightly longer way back home via the scenic routes of the Delaware Water Gap, and found that to be worth the trip as well. Thanks so much for the great stay, Connie! And a HUGE thanks for being dog-friendly. Sometimes a great location and a dog-friendly property is a hard combo to swing, but we felt we were right in the midst of a beautiful setting. Your detailed directions, suggestions for area attractions, and foliage website links were greatly appreciated!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My two sisters and I rented the Roswell home and had the best time. The location was convenient and the home was lovely. The community was so nice to walk in the morning and evenings. We had coffee on the deck overlooking the lake in the mornings and wine in the evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped. Our time there made for very special memories.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We have stayed at the Rowell house many times over the years and always found it to be a wonderful experience. Connie goes out of her way to make sure that everything goes smoothly. We feel as comfortable there as we do in our own home. We look forward to many return visits.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

From the moment I began corresponding with Constance, she always got back to me promptly and was extremely helpful on repeated occasions. She gave me info on skiing and snow tubing in the area, and of course the house. The house was exactly as attractive as it looks online. As city dwellers, we loved the fireplace, which was in perfect working order. It was wonderful to make and watch the fire each day. We also loved the convenience of the second full bathroom. The weather outside was freezing, but the house was toasty warm. The decor was cozy, yet still had a modern feel. And it was not far from shopping, skiing, or Mount Airy Casino. I can't stress enough how easy and enjoyable it was to work with Constance. She is a very sweet lady. She honestly thought of everything we would need to make our getaway great. And I can't overstate how perfect the house was, both on the inside and the outside! We can't wait to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife, infant son, dog and I stayed at the house for a week in late July. Constance was extremely helpful and responsive to our needs from the day I contacted her about the rental through our time in the Poconos. The house is perfect and centrally located for exploring all the area has to offer. We slept comfortably as did our guests. The large living space was fantastic for breakfast in the morning and unwinding at the end of each day. The grill on the porch was a nice amenity when we didn't feel like venturing out. The Pinecrest development is very nice and secluded, but close enough to major towns and highways. The pool is fantastic and was never crowded and the lake is only a walk across the cul-de-sac. Could not have asked for more in a vacation rental, would definitely recommend staying here, RandyRecommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

We recently stayed here and while we did have a fabulous time and the house was overall very nice. While it is very nice to avoid the cleaning fee Constance allows the renter to clean before they leave, it still needs a professional touch once in awhile as there were cobwebs in the corners. The bathtub needed unclogging and we experienced a few hiccups with Constance after checking in but overall she pleasant and was extremely responsive.Did you find this review helpful? Our journey started with perfect directions from Connie. We loved the HOME because you are renting a HOME not a house, A HOME THAT WELCOMES YOU IN! Connie has made many special little touches which really make you feel at home. Mom enjoyed the master bedroom and bath while we used the second bedroom. We did not need to use the Mickey Mouse children's room but enjoyed seeing all of the special Disney touches. The kitchen is well furnished & easy to use. The living room/dining room has a glass door leading to a small gated deck with a gas grill & furnishings. Connie supplied many DVDs, Cds, board games, cards-something for every age group. We needed a home with airconditioning because of past experiences in the Poconos. However, we only needed the air one day as our week was chilly & rainy . The area is quiet and a minute walk gets you to the lake where we spent many visits with our dog. My husband enjoyed a few days of fishing dispite the weather. We took many walks around the lake & in the woods enjoying nature with occasional deer and many chipmunks. There were many things in the area: Catholic Church-5 min., Jubilee Restaurant-7 min., Mt Airy Casino-20 min., Walmart-Kmart-McD's- 14 min., Tobyhanna Park-15 min., shopping & restaurants (Smuggler's Cove is great) in Tannersville area-20 min., Mt Pocono shops & restaurants-20 min. We had a family emergency & had to stay a few extra days with Mom in the hospital; Connie was very helpful & accomadating. We would have had a problem trying to get a hotel that accepts a dog as this was the race weekend. We have rented in the Poconos before but this was our first experience renting from Connie. We found here to be a very nice person, easy to work with & the care she puts in her home reflects her. We will definitely rent from her in the future. My only negative comment is the short walk from the parking to the house is on a paved path but it is on an incline which made it a little difficult with Mom's wheelchair. Our best advice is if you want a nice HOME with a caring owner rent this HOME-you can't go wrong!!! Thnaks again Connie for sharing your HOME with us!! The home was lovely. The rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed using the gas grill and the fire place. There was a beautiful lake, and we had a great time using the boats. I definitely recommend this home to anyone, or any family that is looking to get away for the weekend (or longer). The nature scene was breathtaking.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family stayed at Connie's house for a week in July and can't say enough great things! The house is so comfortable and clean - it felt like we were staying at a family's house. My toddler adored the Mickey Mouse room and slept soundly every night. The house is very comfortably stocked with every amenity - the only things we brought were sheets, towels, food and some toiletries. We cooked every meal and the kitchen is stocked with every utensil and gadget. Grocery stores, Walmart, drug stores and restaurants are a short drive. We got pizza from Dominick's one night and it was pretty good! The house really is located in a prime location, within a ten minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the dock. We took the complimentary canoe out every day, usually morning and night. The fishing is terrific. Being able to bring our dog made the trip that much better and it was wonderful being able to run with our dog in the crisp mornings. Connie was incredibly responsive and very informative. We are already planning our return trip!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
