Family vacation

We had a great time at this house. The house and it's furnishings were in great shape. My family stayed here for 9 days exploring the Poconos. The master bedroom is perfect. The Mickey Mouse room is great for young kids. However, kids 12 or older may not fit on the beds. The second room is good for two adults and a small child. All the appliances were in working condition and the kitchen was well stocked with any type of dish/pot one may need. We also took advantage of the canoe and paddle boat. Lots of fun! The pool is resort quality and the beach is very pleasant. We could not have asked for more...this was a great rental!

Great space and location for a relaxing weekend - great price too!

This is definitely a place I would recommend and revisit in the future. My family and I had such a great time for our ski weekend in the Poconos. The house was spacious, equipped with all needs (bring your own linens), and very clean. The owners were extremely helpful in answering our questions prior to arrival and helped my sister with directions when she missed her turn. We were four adults and two children (11 and 14), with the option of privacy in the bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, an open floorplan in the living room/dining room - great for board games and Wii, and a back deck for keeping beverages cold in the winter. Short drives to Camel Back for tubing one night and Big Boulder the following day for skiing and snowboarding. We ordered pizza from a local restaurant, which was pretty good, but no delivery. Considering there was an ice storm that weekend, we picked the perfect spot to enjoy a warm fire after hitting the slopes (the place was equipped with firewood). I imagine the property and residential area is just as great in the warm weather, as the lake is right there. We loved our mini-vacation and our little dog was even allowed to join us for a small fee! Thanks again to the owners - you're place is wonderful!

Peaceful getaway, Perfect for Families with children

Date of Stay: 04/02/10 Review Submitted: 04/06/10

My family and my brother's family visited the Rowley's Pocono Pines cottage Easter Weekend 2010. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the Rowleys who gave us a tour of the cottage as well as the lake and boats. Connie was very helpful in answering all of our questions prior to arrival and stayed in touch over the weekend to make sure we were ok. The cottage was spotless, including the floors, which was great for us since we have an 11 month old daughter. My nephews ages 7,6, and 4 just loved the mickey mouse bedroom and bunk beds. There was plenty of toys for the kids to play with during our visit. We had every possible amenity needed for the weekend, right along with the peace and quiet of the Poconos. We cant wait to return for our next visit to PA. The rates were fantastic, especially since use of the lake, canoe and paddle boat was included. Fantastic getaway, where you have access to a multitude of nearby activities or the choice to do nothing but relax in this serene environment!
