'TIME AND TIDE'
Situated within the prestigious development of Cayman Kai, the Kaibo Yacht Club is a small, fully serviced marina facility positioned on the calm waters of the North Sound. Only 40 minutes from the capital George Town but quiet and secluded enough so that time and tide move slowly and your dreams are undisturbed.
For the water enthusiast and for the more discerning land lubber it is paradise, with soft white sandy beaches fringed with coconut and royal palms intermixed with carefully chosen tropical plants that will excite the senses and add to the Caribbean experience.
'Time and Tide' is a newly built (2005) beach front condominium that can comfortably accommodate four persons in a contemporary Caribbean style with all the comforts of home. The main living room also incorporates the kitchen and dining areas with direct access through large sliding doors onto the spacious screened patio, it is well appointed with stylish furniture reflecting a nautical twist and includes in home entertainment facilities such as cable TV and wireless broadband,(wi-fi) access.
The master bedroom takes advantage of the breath taking vistas afforded to us on the first floor(UK),second floor(US)and the large windows allow for 180 degree views of the beautifully landscaped grounds and out into the spectacular North Sound, approximately 100 feet from the door. Incorporating direct access to the large patio, an en suite bathroom, walk in closet, classical white furniture and a king size bed this is the most romantic of rooms.
The guest bedroom is furnished with twin beds, dresser and a large mirrored closet and is directly adjacent to the second bathroom.
Other facilities include an infinity pool and spa situated within private landscaped gardens that lead to the calm, reef protected, warm waters of the North Sound enabling you to find the relaxation you so richly deserve.
The only real choices that need making are where to eat and drink. A well equipped kitchen awaits but if a night off takes your fancy or if vacations are a kitchen free zone then many first class restaurants await you.
The Kaibo Yacht Club beach bar serves excellent bar food thoughout the day and is supplemented in the evenings with a more formal menu for those who wish to eat under the stars casual Carribean style. On Friday, Saturday and Sundays a more intimate fine dining experience is available at the 'Upstairs' restaurant, overlooking the Kaibo beach and calm waters of the North Sound.
A short distance from Kaibo is the world famous Rum Point Beach, hosting a bar and grill, a fine dining restaurant and weekly beach bar-b-que.
A drive, ferry or taxi ride to other parts of the island and many other diverse establishments catering for those who seek variety can be found, traditional Caribbean, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Thai and many more make for a rich culinary delight. Sunday brunch at the Ritz Carlton is highly recommended and a real treat for those who wish to sample the high life.
A full range of water activities are available locally for those seeking a little more from their vacation. The Cayman Islands are world famous for their first class scuba diving facilities and dive sites and can offer unparalleled reef, wreck and wall diving all within a short boat ride. Few experiences in life match that of swimming with a turtle whilst exploring a subterranean wall that can reach depths of 6000 feet, in water of unbelievable clarity and warmth.
The world famous 'Stingray City', the world's best 12 foot dive, is located within North Sound as is the 'Sandbar' where you can come face to face and feed the ever so friendly Southern Stingrays.
Snorkelling, kayaking, jet ski and motor boat hire, yacht charters, water skiing and much more are also available for the more active amongst us, but most of all there is the knowledge that if you want to just relax, you can do so in your own corner of paradise.

My title is a masterpiece in understatement , this was my first visit ever to the Caribbean and what a wonderful one it was ,i love things to be clean and the condo was spotless and so very well equipped , coffee machine , Internet access , tv etc although i must be honest i never used it as there was just so many other things to distract me, the people staying along side me in other apartments were both friendly and courteous , the pool and jacuzzi were lovely it was so nice to wake in the morning and have the pool almost to myself everyday , and late Jacuzzis after coming back at night watching the lights on the boats reflecting onto the ocean , the outside balcony was beautiful and mosquito netted so we could eat out there in the eve which was also great! local area was also super the kaibo bar just a few moments away became a fairly frequented place by us the food was gorgeous jerk chichen and fresh fish and there smoothies were to die for, i can honestly say that everybody i encountered from bar staff & pool cleaners to owners of massive houses were lovely as were the owners of the condo who were faultless and friendly and made this trip easy to enjoy , i traveled over this amazing island to restaurants , Georgetown but was always glad to get back to kaibo and rum point i just found it enchanting , hopefully booking to go back sept , thanks for an truly unforgettable experience

We vacationed at Time and Tide with our daughter 4/24/11 to 5/1/11. This is our second time staying in this condo. The condo was as we remembered and we added horseback riding, swimming with the dolphins, and the bioluminescence kayak tour to our list of activities. We love snorkeling at Rum Point and we took the boat out from there to Stingray Sandbar to swim with the rays. We arrived on Easter Sunday, and forgot the grocery stores (and most shops) are closed regularly on Sundays - Kaibo was open, so we enjoyed dinner. We had a very busy complex Sun & Mon and were surprised with the fence around the beach side until learning that the locals celebrate Easter Fri thru Mon. Once Tuesday came (and the fence came down), it was as we remembered.

We stayed at Time and Tide in mid-April 2010. We had a wonderful time and we very extremely pleased with our experience with Time and Tide. The owners were helpful, the property was clean, nicely appointed and well maintained. We will return to Time and Tide. The North end is quiet and we loved the relative seclusion. We are divers and we would recommend Ocean Frontiers. You should plan on renting a car because everyting but a beautiful beach takes a few minutes to get to.

Time and Tide was a wonderful place to call home while in Grand Cayman. We were very impressed by how clean and well equipped the condo was and equally impressed with its quiet, beautiful location. Judy, the manager, even called the first day to make sure all was well. We spent a lot of time snorkeling, exploring, and sunbathing (Rum Point, Coral Gardens/Stingray City, Smith's Cove etc.). A highlight for our boys was finding numerous "dinner plate size" starfish and hermit crabs off the Ivory Kai Point, just a short walk down the street. Upon our return at the end of the day, a dip in the infinity pool was so refreshing and then off to the Kaibo Club for a great beachside dinner. The Tuesday night BBQ was delicious! Renting from Karen and Alan was a pleasure and the condo far exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return!

We just returned to Conn. from Grand Cayman and a wonderful vacation at Time and Tide. We have never stayed at such a wonderfully equipped condominium in any of our travels to the Caribbean. Time and Tide Condo at Kaibo Yacht Club is a great location with the infinity pool just below our room and an excellent restaurant just a short stroll away. We enjoyed both the informal beach bar and grill and the formal upstairs restaurant that featured great food and wonderful service. My next email will be to book next year's vacation. Thanks Karen and Alan

We have just returned from Time & Tide at the Kaibo condo's and want to share how wonderful it was. The condo is everything you need and more, beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The view from the lanai is great for boat watching and the infinity pool is extremely inviting. Kaibo club just a few steps away is perfect for that evening cocktail to be enjoyed watching the sun go down. Alan and Karen are extremely helpful and make sure everything required for a relaxing and stress free holiday is readily available. We will definately recommend them and their condo to all our friends and family and can't wait to return.

Our experience is nothing but good. The condo looked exactly as the website advertised. The Cayman Kai area is away from the hustle of the areas influxed with vacationers and cruise activity. When we arrived, there were many planes arriving and lots of people. Once we headed out of town and found our condo, we were in paradise! Swimming in the ocean outside the condo we did not do as there is alot of traffic with boats re-fueling and coming to eat at the Kaibo Yacht Club next door. This was our 2nd trip to the island (last trip 1996) & we wanted to stay in a more quieter area. We have a 9 year old and she loved the pool & had it to herself most of the vacation. We had a car so driving to any destination was very easy. The phone was not working for local calls so an e-mail to the owner to verify it should be working & then contacting their manager "Judy" (wonderful!) it was fixed in a few days (remember, everything moves slow down there). The next morning, Judy left us a cell phone so we were not without communication. There are functions at the Kaibo Yacht Club. Usually, we could not hear the noise with the exception of a wedding when at 11:30, kids were screaming into the microphone and the music seemed to get louder - it stopped at 12:00 and it was a Friday night so we got over it! We used Ebanks Watersports (out of CI Yacht Club - 7-Mile Beach area) to use wave runners to get to the Stingray City sandbar and the Coral Gardens - They were wonderful in re-scheduling my mix-up on days and then working around the weather to make sure we got out there - what a way to experience the stingrays with only 5 wave runners on our trip! We also took our daughter to Hell, the Turtle Farm, the Botanical Gardens, the Blow Holes, Rum Point, walking down the road to the area with HUGE orange star fish, Georgetown and a public beach on 7-Mile Beach. I asked her if we went back, which area would she rather stay in and her answer "Cayman Kai" This trip may go down as the best to date! We loved the relaxing atmosphere the condo provided - being able to eat at home and do laundry when needed is a huge plus! We always stay in a condo or home when traveling to 1 destination to take advantage of the space & amenities they offer over a hotel room (especially with kids). Remember the food is very expensive so going to the grocery store helps. Would definately recommend this property. We love the Cayman Islands!!! Frank, Sue & Bailey New Hampshire

We stayed March 6-14 and had a wonderful time. Beautiful and well-maintained condo and grounds. Our family of 4 enjoyed cards on the screened porch, playing chess, and time around the pool. Friendly people at yacht club next door, Rum Point just down the road

This condo was the perfect floor plan for a family of four. We especially liked the 2 separate beds for our teenage son and daughter. The condo was also nicely appointed. We spent a lot of time on the spacious lanai eating, playing games, watching the boats come and go. The view from here is picturesque with the coconut trees swaying in the breeze. The property is immaculate and the infinity pool was refreshing. You could stay here and enjoy your holiday without venturing out. We did however explore the island. With the exception of a day at 7 Mile Beach and the Boatswain's Turtle Farm, we "hung out" at Rum Point (less than a 5 minute drive up the road), snorkeling, sunbathing, eating and visiting Stingray City Sandbar and Coral Gardens. Visit the beach on the other side of the road to see the bright orange starfish!
