Walking distance to one of the best beaches on the Riviera

2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in a gated community with a swimming pool and a beautiful neighborhood to walk that includes a gorgeous park. The apartment has all you need to relax and feel at home. Playa Del Carmen Centro and 5th Avenue are just a few miles away if you want the night life and tourist attractions. Since you are just north of the City, you can just enjoy relaxing away from it all. One of the best things about this location is that you can drive to the beach in less than a two minutes. The beaches in the area are beautiful with less people, excellent swimming and tanning, and excellent snorkeling right off the shore.

The Apartment has one king size bed in the master and two twins in the second bedroom making it perfect for two couples or one couple with children. One twin size bed has another trundle twin size attached making that room accommodate 3 people. There is also a futon available in the living-room to accommodate other occupants.

Since the apartment is on the top level, you have access to the terrace to enjoy the surrounding views of the jungle or just take in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Access to jet ski rental, catamaran rental, snorkeling tours, massages, kayak rental, fishing tours are available at the nearby beach.

Good base of operations outside the bustling Playa Metropolis.

Quiet, clean, in a gated community
Nicely furnished home in a quiet suburb of Playa Del Carmen near beautiful beaches and high end resorts. Convenience store just a couple blocks away, and just a 5 minute drive to the hot spots in Playa Del Carmen. Air conditioning worked well and the unit was very clean. Linens, clean drinking water, full kitchen and a guard gated community made us feel comfortable and safe. There's even a pool, although we just cooled off at the beach. A couple hints. We reserved a car via Southwest for $2.60 a day. We splurged and paid an extra $2 a day for roadside assistance. Total bill for 5 days was $26 US. You are a couple blocks from the main freeway, so we went to Chitzen Itza, Tulum, and parked in downtown Playa and took the ferry to Cozumel. Great place, great quiet location, not too far from everything you would want. Can't wait to come back.

perfect for a small family
It must first be said that Daniel, the property owner, I amazingly responsive and helpful. Throughout the booking process, my endless questions, & follow up after our stay, he was quick to respond to all inquiries, informative, and kind. The apartment itself is in a secure gated community, spacious, and well suited for my small family. Irma, the caretaker, was attentive, and thoughtful. The location is very central for all activities in the region. Many of the best eco parks are within a half hour drive. There is also a nice little neighborhood market for food supplies, etc.

Nice location near many attractions!!
First of all, I would like to thank Daniel, the owner, who was quick to answer any call or text. Also Irma who managed the property, was very friendly & helpful. There was an instance when the power went out and she took care of that within minutes. The owner recommended Carlos, our taxi, who was also very nice and knowledgeable about the area and the attraction sites he took us to. The property is pretty spacious, clean & reasonably priced. It's close to many beaches, one within walking distance & nearby attractions. Our favorite beach was Akumal, snorkeling with turtles and the waterpark Xel-Ha!! But in our short stay, we also managed to see two Mayan ruins, cenotes & walk the 5th Ave (5ta Avenida) more than once. There was still so much we didn't get to see, so we definitely plan on coming back!!

Nice condo, very spacious, perfect for any vacation
First, we want to mention how nice were the owner. Very kind and always easy to reach. He gave us plenty of good tips to succeed our vacation time. The condo was just perfect. Very clean, spacious, plenty of room for 4 peoples and more if you keep in mind that there are 2 rooms only. The kitchen is well equiped and the dining room is huge, combined with a large living room. 2 full bathrooms were very useful also. Something very interesting: on top of the house you can dry your clothes and take sun as much as you want. The condo is on the 2e floor, so you are private and still. Take note that the beach is at a 15 min. walk away. Nice sand all over and the sea was just "delicious". It would be a good idea though to bring your bathing shoes to protect yourself from the rocks in the water. You are standing 7 kms away from Playa Del Carmen. So you need a car or use taxis. The city is realy interesting, very well equiped with all kind of stores and services. If you walk the city, you will enjoyed it plently. Even the "creasy" 5th ave is great if you "look" only....The 10th is better for restos. And don't forget, you are close to majestic mayans ruins (Chichen Itza or Uxmal) and attractions like XCaret (to visit absolutely). You can rely on the infos concerning the house. You will have also a nice contact with Irma, a neighbour and a manager who will take care of you like a mother. At the office you can meet a nice lady named Maria who will give you very good pieces of advices. You also have little services (grocery, laundry, resto) close to the house, but a ride to Playa will be usefull...........................N.Lavigne

Most of the year we live in the high desert city of Albuquerque New Mexico where I am a Realtor with Keller Williams. We loved traveling to the western coast of Mexico and decided that we would like to have our own place to get away to. While there we decided that it would be a great place to make available for others to experience which led us to turn our condo into a vacation rental.

While we are not there we have a property manage, Irma and her husband Omar, who not only ourselves but our guests have come to love. They are exceptionally hospitable and very capable of handling any needs you may have as they have functioned as managers for several homes in the subdivision for many years now.

Why they chose this property

This property is located on the north side of Playa Del Carmen and specifically on the north side of a golf course that separates it from City Centro which means there is less tourist traffic and the beaches are much less crowded. If you would like to experience the busy beach activity in City Centro all you need to do is drive around the golf course to be in the hustle and bustle of Playa Del Carmen. However, if you just want some leisurely down time, you are already in the right place. The gated community that the condo is in has a community park where you may walk or if you have children, they can play without any concern on you part about them.

Transportation for those who do not have a car is just outside the community gates as Taxi's will pick you up or drop you off at any time of the day or night.

Nearby conveniences include an Oxxo store for basic grocery needs as well as nearby laundry all within walking distance.

Now about the beach...
The beach is just .5 miles or 1km from the condo with parking right at the beach. By foot it is about 15 minutes. The beaches are beautiful and largely unpopulated. There are generally great areas to swim that have an abundance of fish right off the shore by two nearby docks. Bring swimming goggles!
