Dear Julie and Jack, Carole and I will leave for Ottawa early Tuesday morning. We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Victoria and, in particular, we loved staying in your penthouse. We have looked after your home as we do ours. We have had a variety of cool and warmer weather but that has not kept us from exploring Victoria and the surrounding areas. Your bicycles have been great as it allowed us to explore the Galloping Goose and Lockside trail systems. Our rental car was useful as well as we made several trips to East Sooke Park (the hike to Iron Mine Bay is very inspiring), French Beach Provincial Park (a favourite of ours from previous trips) and the Zanetti vineyards restaurant near Duncan. We did a lot of walking around Victoria and enjoyed the WestSong Way trail to West Bay Village and also to the downtown area. On a cooler day we walked to the Royal B.C. Museum and enjoyed a guided visit to the modern history area. I wanted to mention a fine, inexpensive, Italian eatery we discovered on Yates called Zambri's. You may be familiar with it but, if not, it's worth a try. We also enjoyed "Red Fish, Blue Fish" on Wharf Street. Both of these restaurants were recommended by the Globe & Mail. Your printer and keyboard combo were quite helpful. When we get back to Ottawa I intend to buy a keyboard and use it with our laptop. All in all we have had a great time in Victoria and thank the two of you for presenting us with such lovely accomodation. Willie and Carole

The month of March 2010,coupled with your SW sunny exposure &panoramic views was great !!Your 1st class ameneties,grocery shopping a few steps away,Security & exercise facilities were a plus. We enjoyed sunny naps in the TV room,many walks on the numerous pathways,Beacon Hill Park(Beacon Drive Inn forPrawn or Oyster burgers & soft ice cream cones)Scenic drives along Dallas Road to Oak Bay Marina for clam chowder; Barbs Fish & Chips;Brunch at Milestones;Lunch at Delta Victoria; Sidney Harbor & Brentwood Bay.If we are blessed we will certainly return!!! We have just spent the winter at the Penthouse, what a great one it was!I thought I was waking up in heaven everyday, the views...spectacular!Everything was even better than described. So wonderful for Julie and Jack to share their home, and that is exactly what it is....a home.We are so spoiled now, nothing else will come close.The only problem with commenting at this venue is that we will probably never get in again, it will be so popular! We have just returned home from a one week stay in this lovely condo. The views are magnificent, and the location is so convenient. We were able to walk everywhere so didn't need a car on this trip. I don't know when either of us has slept so well as in these really comfortable beds. One week was not long enough, and we hope to return for a longer stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Marshall's condo for two weeks in June 2008. The only reason we were able to stay a partial month was because the owners were coming in the middle of June to spend the summer. The condo was as beautiful and comfortable as their web site advertised. We loved the view, which was incredible from both sides of the patio! We loved watching the cruise ships come in and the seaplanes take off and land. We did alot of touring on the Island, and took a ferry to the mainland to visit both Whistler and Vancouver. The entire area was absolutely beautiful! The condo had all the ammenities of home and we could not have been more comfortable. The beds were comfortable as well which is so important. We can't thank the Marshall's enough for allowing us to spend this time in their lovely home. Carole & Paul Bennick Payson, Arizona

Enjoyed my stay so much in your comfortable, beautifully decorated condo. Everything anyone could possibly want or need was there, thanks to your thoughtfulness. I had a wonderful time and found it hard to tear myself away from the views in your beautiful condo. Especially from the comfy sectional in the den! Even though the weather was cool and wet there, it was still better than the blizzards going on in Minnesota while I was gone. The cherry trees were all in bloom while I was there – a delightful surprise. Can’t think of anything else – it was everything it was advertised to be and much more!

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous month stay at the penthouse including Christmas and New years. Everything was as described and illustrated on the website only better! Condo within easy walking distance to downtown, gorge and harbor. Amazing views from wrap around deck and floor to ceiling windows. So bright, quiet and well appointed that even the dull days were a pleasure. Thanks for sharing it with us. We will be back.

Hi Jack & Julie, The updated vrbo web site listing looks great! We have told ALL our friends and family about your wonderful pent house condo in Victoria. We had a wonderful time at the Penthouse and the City of Victoria. It was everything you decribed... and more! The views of the harbor...walks from the Penthouse into town... the convenience of the grocrey and wine stores etc., etc. Your Penthouse had EVERYTHING in place to help make our stay memorable. We spent our 30th wedding anniversary here in the most romantic place on earth! The Penthouse is so well stocked with directions, maps and recommendations to the best of the best this city has to offer, we felt like we had lived here all of our lives. An unforgettable experience, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

We made this our permanent home for several months this spring, while participating in some international yacht racing. Our starting point was here in Victoria, and the Penthouse was the perfect place to be while we provisioned for the race. This place is magical. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. The Penthouse has everything you could ever need. We are coming back next year!

Spent the winter here. Lovely. Soon after we arrived, we wanted to extend our stay. If it hadn't been booked by someone else we would have stayed all spring.
