We found this place to be much better than the pictures showed and better than the previous reviews indicated. The price is outstanding as well. The owner was so nice and helpful. We actually met him while we were there, The place is newly remodeled and the furniture is very nice and comfortable. The garnite kithcen is small, but that was not a problem. Tons of room at the the dining table and everywhere else. You will need to bring things like soap for showers, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. There is a hair dryer. We had two adults, four children and one child. We had plenty of room, the view is extraordiary. Every thing was in working order and while it seems like you are traveling pretty high in the mountains the first time you get to it, it really isn't far to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and the view, space and price is well worth the drive.

I am here with friends and family and am having a wonderful time, The view is spectacular and we have a bear that we call pookie. He is here at least 3 times a day and we love it but of couse im a lot frightened of him. he takes naps in the yard its so cute. The home is wonderful and the decor is awsome, log beds..log dining room table and chairs. I love it and will come back with more family and friends and will also get the home next door also. Jeff the owner has been very kind. I dont want to go home but I look forward to coming back next year. Thanks so much Jeff for sharing your beautiful home with us. BRENDA SEKERAK

This is a very nice chalet. We enjoyed the views from the balconies and at night you could see the lights of Gatlinburg. The chalet contained everything we needed to be comfortable. We were able to just rest and relax. Jeff was very easy to work with. Let me say again the views are outstanding!!!

Good, but not perfect

The description and photos were not current. A hot tub and gas grill were major factors in deciding on this particular chalet. We had planned to cook our Christmas dinner on the large gas grill but it had been replaced with a small charcoal grill. We had to make a special trip down the mountain to buy charcoal. The hot tub we had been looking forward to using did not work. There was a jacuzzi tub, that would have been a poor substitute, if only it had worked. When these things were brought up to the owner, he dismissed them and took no action. We did see various repairmen at other chalets, but none was sent to ours. There were several other minor problems, like cobwebs in the corners, bugs on the windowsills, the dryer vent sending hot, steamy air into the house, some of the curtains were tattered, the vertical blinds were missing slats, and a severe cold draft around the fireplace. The chalet was not well maintained. Vacationers should be aware that if the owner or his representative is not there to check you in and/or out there could be an attempt to hold you liable for others actions. More guests were scheduled to arrive the same day we were leaving according to the owner's website calendar. Even though the cleaning crew and these other guests had been in the chalet after us, the owner accused us of causing $50,000 worth of damages. We left the place cleaner than it was when we arrived but still have not gotten our deposit returned 6 weeks later. We have little hope of getting our money back even though we met all the owner's requirements and more. The owner has not responded to our last email that was sent 3 weeks ago. We love the Smoky Mountains and this area of the country is beautiful. There is plenty to do in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Smoky Mountains National Park and the surrounding area. Even Knoxville is only about an hour away. Despite the problems with the chalet, we managed to have a wonderful family time. I would recommend this area to anyone who loves the outdoors, but not this particular chalet, or any other rentals by the same owner.

Jeff your house and the chalet village was just like out of a story book. I loved it. The decor is very nice, I especially liked all of the little touches everywhere. The views were just amazing. Thank You we had a wonderful time there. Hopefully we'll be there again for Christmas. Thanks again. I would deffinitely recommend it to everyone.

My family and I had a wonderful time while staying in this chalet in Gatlinburg. There was more than enough room for the entire family and the ammenities were great. We especially loved the hot tub on the cool mountain mornings. All of the kitchen utensils were supplied which was very nice and the whole place was very clean...my family and I will definitely visit this property again.

We stayed here in June 2008. We had a marvelous time in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the National Park. There is so much to do that we will have to return to do all that we wanted! The chalet was gorgeous and wonderfully decorated. The view really was breath-taking! There is a balcony off of the main-level dining area with a hot tub (great for relaxing and enjoying the the view) and also a small balcony off of one of the bedrooms upstairs that allow guests to marvel at the beautiful mountains. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to cook dinner without a problem. Location of master bedroom / bathroom suite was ideal for my parents who have trouble with stairs. Balcony on main level allowed them to enjoy the view. This chalet is literally "at the top" of Gatlinburg. It is located in a community that is as far up the mountain as you can possibly drive! The description of the chalet was accurate. It had all the amenities we wanted and the pool was very close (but cold... don't think it's heated!). I would definitely recommend this to a friend. The reasons for the 4 rating (not 5):1. Broken dryer. The owner got back to me right away when I called and told me that he was waiting for a part that wouldn't arrive before we left. We packed 1/2 of the clothes we needed, intending to do laundry. We ended up putting a clothes line off the top balcony. They dried quickly, so it wasn't a problem. 2. It wasn't as convenient as I thought it would be to downtown Gatlinburg. It was about 15-20 minutes up the mountain. With small children, I probably would choose a place closer to town next time so we could go "rest" without a 30-40 minute round trip. 3. On a personal note, I was not used to the high altitude and the drive up and down gave me a headache and I had some dizziness. Just a caution! Again, great stay, beautiful place. Fun trip. Ideal for people who don't want to go back during the day.

Oh My God!! The view was breathtaking! The house was so comfortable and clean. The bears and fox that visited everyday were absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend this home to anyone that plans to come to the area. Great job!!

You will not be disappointed! The chalet and chalet village look like something out of a storybook. The view from the decks are wonderful. You'll enjoy each evening under the stars with the lights of Pigeon Forge in the distance and a mountain ridge in your back yard.

What a beautiful place to stay pictures dont do it justice! Jeff is excellent to work with. He even called us to make sure that everything was in order. I'd recommend his chalet to anyone. Everything is top notch If you are looking for a great place to stay give Jeff a call you wont regret it!

My husband and I stayed here in May with our kids, both married.. and there was plenty of room for 3 couples... it is at the very top of the mountain which gives it the most gorgeous view... it is beautifully decorated with everything that we needed ... we had a fantastic time and hope to go again soon...

Truely worth the drive up. You get the best views. There is ample parking and even though the chalets are close to each other you still get lots of privacy in your back balcony. We could not hear any of the neighbors. It was very clean and well-maintained. Owner was great to us. Once you go there you may not want to leave. I would definately recommend this chalet.

Just returned home yesterday from a great stay here at this Chalet. A very comfortable place to stay. Very clean, well kept. Amazing mountain views. I have nothing bad to say about it. I will without a doubt rent again. Jeff is also a pleasure to work with. Great time had by all. :)

This place was GREAT! We took the whole family, kids and grandkids had a blast! The view off the deck was beautiful,my grandkids said it was like being on top the world, (ages 6,4,2)Did not want to leave. Had so much fun will recommend this house to anyone just want to go back, and enjoy the view. We went in the summer, and hope we can go back every year. Chalet was the best, you can do some of the best hiking from this place. Take my word for it worth your time to visit as we call it the mansion on the mountain

We had a wonderful time. The chalet had everything (and more) we needed. Our first day, we were greeted by a beautiful buck right out the front door. It was so relaxing, especially the locust at night. We would definitely stay here again. Jeff was wonderful to work with, he responded to us immediately via e-mail and phone.

This property was outstanding. Clean and very impressive. We felt very lucky to be staying at such a nice place. Great walking distance to lots of downtown Gatlinburg activities. Highly recommended and will rent again.

What a beautiful chalet you have in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed our week on the mountaintop, especially the hot tub and fireplace. It was all very relaxing. The snow just added to the beauty. We hope to return many more times in the future.

We checked into this unit after dark. The views of the city lights at night were extrarordinary. When we woke up the next day we found the mountain views to be just as awesome. The owner has thought of everything. He even called to make sure everything was ok. This unit offers privacy for adults in the upstairs bedroom. The children can sleep in the loft bedroom. If you have elderly parents or anyone who has trouble with stairs, this unit is for you. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and bath on the main level. The kitchen and living room are also on the mail level. This is a great unit for all generations of the family. If you are thinking of renting this unit, I highly recommend it. I promise you won't be dissapointed.
