VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS!!! This newly constructed, chalet-style, log home has 78 feet of frontage on beautiful Garnet Lake in the Adirondacks. Garnet Lake is approximately one-fourth mile wide by one-and-one-half miles long and boasts some of the best bass fishing in the area. Because nearly two-thirds of the lake is state-owned land it offers some of the best natural beauty.
The lake is ideal for water sports and a two-person paddleboat and three kayaks are provided. In the fall it becomes a sanctuary for viewing the foliage and in the winter it is ideal for snowmobiling, which can be done on the lake, cross-country and backcountry skiing which can be done on numerous trails around the lake, and downhill skiing at Gore Mountain, just ten minutes away.
The great room and deck look out over the lake and enjoy the afternoon sun. There are eagles and loons that live on the lake making for some enjoyable viewing. The chalet's inside is knotty pine throughout and decorated in Adirondack style. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room table seats 10. There are two bedrooms that have comfortable queens and one bedroom with a double-size bed and a set of bunk beds making it ideal for the kids. There are also two couches that convert to queens making the max capacity for the cottage 8-10.
The house sits just 30 feet from the waters edge seperated by a one lane dead-end dirt road that serves the other 20 homes on the lake. The house backs up to a mountain, has a neighbor on one side (young family that comes up on weekends) and a wooded lot on the other side.
If you are looking to experience the joys of the Adirondacks, this is your place. |
