Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2003

We live on this seven acre piece of property, and built the Dogwood House in about 2003. We enjoy living in Fines Creek, listening to the creek going down the mountain, enjoying the views all around the property. We want you to enjoy it too.

Why the Owner Chose Fines Creek

We actually built on family property which had been wooded and have enjoyed using it as a rental.

The Unique Benefits of this Lodge

Well, we enjoy the peace and the mountain stream, the flora and fauna, the views everywhere, and last but not least one traffic light between here and Waynesville!

The house is just as described with beautiful country and mountains all around. The owners are a wonderful couple. This all gave a hectic wedding weekend a nice little bit of peace and quiet. Keep following Max Patch road up the mountain and you will find a mountain top (Max Patch) where you can get a 360 degree view of all the surrounding mountains.

Hi Mrs. Tracy, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your Dogwood Cabin. We were there only at night but we did get to enjoy coffee on the porch while listening to the creek running beside the cabin. We also saw a Wagon Train passing down one of the mountain roads from the view on the opposite side of the cabin on Monday morning. That was pretty exciting! Your accomodations were very clean and extremely comfortable. I had a shoulder replacement the latter part of June and my biggest fear was being able to sleep in a bed as I have been sleeping in my recliner since the surgery. I was so thrilled to see that oversized recliner when we walked in and it slept beautifully!!! I hope that we will be able to come again and have more time to relax and enjoy the area. Thank you, Teresa Sadloski
