The two selling points of this Condo are the views and the size. On Friday's the Hilton Hawiian Village has a fireworks display that can be seen perfectly from the Master Bedroom Balcony. The unit has two bedrooms and two baths that gave alot of privacy. For the price paid and the location of the unit to the beach it was an excellent deal. There are views of the ocean fron both balconies as if faces East and West you can see the sunrise and sunset. Each bedroom and the living room has an air conditioner which works well. This unit is not good for the handicapped or people who have difficulty doing stairs as you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the Condo. Unit is very basic, 1 TV in the living room with cable (no movie channels but you can get movies in the lobby) you can get wired internet for a very reasonable price. You are 1 floor above the pool and can hear the children through the bathroom window but if you close the bathroom door the sound is almost muted. You have a very basic kitchen that has not been upgraded since the place was built. The refrigerator, electric stovetop and the small convection oven work well, I am not sure if the range works but it is missing the knob that regulates the temperature. There are dishes and such in the unit but we bought our own paper plates and cups and such for convienence. The Imperial is seconds from many eating establishments and there is an ABC store connected to the Imperial. You should check the expiration date on the food that they sell as some of the items were 2 months beyond the recommended selling date. Some of the items bought there that did not have dates were stale. There is an ABC on almost every corner so you will do better if you walk a minute or two to find another one. Communication with the owner was great and it was a smooth transaction, no issues at all anytime during the stay with the front desk or any of the other employees. Views and location Excellent Size and price of Condo Excellent Building and ammenities Average Condo as a whole Average Kitchen and Bathrooms Fair If you need a two bedroom place that is close to the beach and you do not need a 4 star resort or room service this is the place for you. The price and location is great as compared to other similar units in Waikiki.

Great location and views

The apartment is perfectly located on Lewers St, has great views and is well priced. The owner has been very helpful and easy to get along with. The only issue we had with the apartment was with the maintenance and age of the complex. When we arrived there were several plumbing issues that had to be fixed before we could use the apartment. Numerous globes and lights were also out. To their credit, these issues were fixed quickly. I think the whole building is probably due for a major refit - as are quite a number of older beachside resort hotels in the area. The main bedroom and other living areas were of a good size, but the second bedroom wasquite small and we think not really suitable for adults except at a pinch. The old-style window mounted a/c units were quite noisy. Given the price, and the fact that the maintenance matters were sorted, we think that, on balance, the positves outweigh the negatives. The bar on level 27 at sunset is amazing. The Yard House across the street is a great "local". Hard Rock is a block away. Giovanni Pastrami has GREAT food and is also close. Numerous beach side eatery spots abound. Head down a few hundred yards toward the area in front of Fort DeRussy for safe swimming, SUP Boarding etc at good prices.

This was our family's return visit following a stay in 2009. Great location, great views, plenty of space, separate bedrooms for parents and the kids, kitchen facilities - what more could we ask for? The Imperial isn't as new and shiny as other places but we didn't need new and shiny. We were on a tight budget this time around so it was good to be able to use the kitchen facilities to eat-in rather than dine out. Steve is very efficient in organising the booking and we thank him again for providing the opportunity to stay at his lovely condo. We hope we can return again one day!

The six of us enjoyed our 2 week stay in the penthouse. Everything was clean. The two lanais, on opposite sides of the building, had great views and one side was always out of the wind. The penthouse catches a good breeze all the time. The Imperial is very close to the beach and close to many nice shops For convenience there is an ABC store next door. The Imperial staff are friendly and helpful. The oven did not work but there was a convection oven on the counter. Two of the four stove burners did not work. This was not a big deal since we did minimal cooking eating only breakfast and lunch in the condo and going out to eat for dinner. The kitchen is spacious. Large living/dining area. We would rent this space again.

I stayed at Steve's penthouse last September for a weeks stay with my sister and her husband, we had a great time, its close to the beach, restaurants, shopping, every night we took a walk along city walk, the place itself has everything you need to be comfortable, the views are just beautiful, I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a great location with beautiful views. We stayed the first week of July 2010, We have been coming to Waikiki for 30 years and this Penthouse is the best value we have come across! Lewers st has had a great facelift and offers a wide variety of Dining selections.The Pool was great for the kids afternoon swim.The size of the Apt is great we had 3 adults and 2 Kids .Right across the street from the beach .The Halekalani is across the street also and the Best place to enjoy Maitai s whilst watching an authentic Hawaiian Trio and Hula Dancer.Thanks Steve We Shall Return Lincoln and Edwina Sawyer Sydney Australia

Great views, very convenient location

We (two adults, one child) had a great stay here in early June. The condo is roomy and comfortable. Furnishings are comfortable, and the kitchen is adequate for most vacationers' needs (e.g., making coffee and breakfast). The location is terrific - 1/2 block inland and about halfway between the Hawaiian Hilton Village and the beach in front of Royal Hawaiian/Moana Surfrider. Also near the bus lines that run on Kuhio (which can get you just about anywhere you want to go on the island). The sunset views from the balcony are fantastic! The check-in process was a little sloppy, but building staff were otherwise helpful and responsive to requests. Notice for anyone with mobility impairments: the unit is on the 28th floor. Elevators go to the 26th or 27th floor, and residents need to take stairs up the remaining flight/s to the condo.

Thank you Steve for the wonderful place! This condo made for a great stay. It is spacious, a big balcony on one side and a smaller one connected to the master bedroom with a great view of the beach. It is super close to everything. The transaction was very smooth and comfortable. I was nervous renting from someone I found on the internet especially sending a check beforehand, but I called the Imperial and Steve is very well known and is VERY easy to deal with. He communicated very well so there was no surprises when we arrived. He allowed us to check out late as no one was arriving that day. It was excellent price, location, convenience and spacious enough for the whole family! The staff was kind and helpful. Valet parking only which was about $15/day (for the weekly rate). You are on the top floor and the only unit on that floor, so there is good privacy for you and your family. The kitchen was handy as we ate meals in some days. Everything works except the oven (but there is a conventional oven available). I give it a 10! Thank you again Steve!
