We very much enjoyed our stay at Harmony House. My girlfriend and I were there for 4 days in early March and it was a very relaxing , comfortable place. The house is warm and wonderful and we were quite pleased with the amenities that helped make our stay comfortable - little things like nice dinnerware, a good assortment of movies, nice homey furnishings, an umbrella.... Things one may not think about but that make a stay so much more enjoyable. And, of course, how very clean the house was. It is a very nice space to kick back and relax, and is in a great location - within walking distance of downtown Saugutcuk. The owners were terrific to work with and had some very good suggestions on the area dining. The tub may be getting a little long in the tooth, however the temperature was perfect and the and the water very clean. We certainly hope to be able to return!

Romantic Weekend Get-A-Way

I wanted to plan a surprise get-a-way for my wife to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary...Roxanne was wonderful to work with, she even made arrangements to have flowers waiting for our arrival. The house was perfect...the decor was warm, with an upscale french country feel.....it had everything you would ever need to make your stay enjoyable.....The outdoor grounds and hot tub were extremely private...Just minutes away from downtown Saugatuck...the beach...and great restaurants...made the Harmony House a great choice...The title says it all...if you're looking for a private...peaceful place to stay near the Douglass/Saugatuck area, your search is over !!!! I hope you have as much fun as we did....we will definitely return...

Relaxing week away from it all

Four adults, two small children and a dog enjoyed relaxing at this peaceful home just outside downtown Saugatuck. We could listen to the crickets at night around the fire pit yet sleep indoors on comfortable beds. It was the perfect amount of space for our group. We frequently walked into town and drove to Oval Beach. We loved the deck and screened-in porch. The owners are both courteous and professional. We were first time renters and it was a good experience.

Recommended for:Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Exactly what a house should be, and well managed/

My wife and I and another couple wanted seclusion, privacy and a relaxing atmosphere, and we got it, just outside of town on a wooded lot surrounded by pine stands and woods, the home was well decorated, great kitchen, comfy beds, lots of fans, a great porch, and purely comfy, a great value, and hard to find any faults in any way with this home. I travel 40 weeks a year for work, 4-5 star, and vacation 8 weeks a year, from the Hamptons to La Jolla, Costa Rica, Paris and Asia, if all my vacation rentals were this great, life would be stress free. We normally stay in Douglas at the Sherwood Forest BB, as its so close to beach, but this was no issue, and the privacy was worth the 5 min drive to LSD.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved the tree house. A quiet, private and peaceful setting. So close to the beach, the hot tub wonderful. The owners were easy to work w/via email. Very clean.

We had a wonderful time at your house! It had everything we could possibly need. We had the best of both worlds access to Michigan's picture perfect in a woodland setting with deer, hummingbirds, etc. Thanks for everything!

Beatifull, well maintained property, great backyard with a firepit and hamock, kids enjoyed playing volleyball outside. Thanks for the great vacation! We can not wait to come back.

Nice setting. Dogs loved the yard as well as surrounding fields. Everyone had a good time. Owners are very cooperative and willing to work with requests made.

what can we say?? from the moment we entered the house we were in love!! we had a roaring fire every day, the hot tub was amazing ( as was the 8 inches of fresh snow) such a comfortable, beautiful house. thanks for making the atart of 2008 so special!

My girlfriends and I dubbed this adorable cabin "cottage chic" and each chose furnishings that we loved so much we would have taken them with us. What a relaxing getaway...we will definitely be back!

The Harmony House is truely amazing. This is a MUST SEE place, very posh with a nice balance of cabin-in-the-woods meets resort spa! I felt like it was the perfect winter getaway;never thought going in the hot tub at 20degrees would be so much fun! I'd love to go again next winter or summer. My friends and I had a very memorable time there! A+++++++

The Harmony House was beautiful. My friends and I got a chance to see it during winter, a soft blanket of snow and the woods surrounding made for a cosy atmosphere. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. All around great place, I wish I could live there!

To say that I enjoyed my weekend at harmony house, is not enough. Harmony House, in Sagatuck, MI gave me and my good friends memories to cherish forever. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city lights. It is so rare to find a wonderfully nestled hideaway with spectacular scenery and the comforts of home. I hope to return someday.

We really enjoyed staying at Harmony House. I can't get over how beautifully the house was decorated. Every room was clean and comfortable! The wooded area around the house was very relaxing and yet the house is convenient to shopping and just a short drive to the downtown area of Saugatuck. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our first visit to Saugatuck and we had a great time! We found Harmony House to be very peaceful, just what we were hoping for. We enjoyed reading on the screened-in porch and found the hot tub very relaxing. The setting is very tranquil yet you're only 10 minutes from town. We hope to come back.

The setting of the Harmony House is incredibly beautiful and tranquil. We fully utilized and enjoyed the screened porch and observed wildlife, including deer and turkey. It's private, yet close to town. We look forward to returning!

The Harmony House struck the right chord between being tucked away in the woods and having all the luxury of a fine hotel! We loved it. The furniture and linens were ultra clean and comfortable, the kitchen appliances better than I could've imagined... (a washer & dryer is up there too) plus a scenic view out every window.

I stayed at Harmony House in mid-January and could not have found a better winter getaway. Saugatuck is popular in the summer, but at this house the winter is an undiscovered treasure. The house is a wonderfully designed and incredibly cozy. A fantasic place for a group of friends to relax or for a family to get away. I can't give it a higher recommendation.

What a wonderful surprise! You never know what to expect when seeing photos online of rental properties...BUT, this house showed even better in person than in the photos! Beautifully decorated, with special touches throughout, it felt like being at home! We loved the hot tub and the fire pit, what great ways to spend the evenings with friends! The linens were extra cozy and comfortable...a great night sleep was had by all! The gourmet kitchen was great, everything you could want was provided! What a great way to spend a weekend in a great little town! Just perfect for a weekend with no kids, BUT we would love to bring them back too! They would love to see the wildlife and hear the sounds of the woods! We will be back!

I have to agree with all of the comments below. We have stayed at a dozen different places in the Saugatuck area over the years, and the Harmony House is unquestionably the best. The peaceful setting in the woods is incredible. The decor is serene, smart and pleasant. To rate this home as p ositive is an understatement!

Very relaxing! What a beautiful property. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. We were able to see some wild turkeys in the wooded lot too. The gourmet kitchen was a plus. I loved cooking in it. Harmony house is the perfect getaway. we will definatley rent it again. The board games were a big hit with the kids. Beautifuly decorated. We especially loved all the skylights in the house.

We especially enjoyed nights by the fire pit, dips in the hot tub and board games in the screened-in porch.
