Stunning luxury villa estate, just outside the excitement of Marrakech, in an oasis of calm and privacy.
Sleeps 4 in two beautifully decorated houses, with staff to respond to your every need. Meals, wine and drinks are included in the rental.
The walled gardens cover 8,500 square metres, with 300-year-old olive trees, a magnificent rose garden, 5,000 square metres of lawns, and a 20m pool with poolhouse.
The house is 10 miles outside Marrakech, away from the noise, bustle and heat of the city, in the verdant countryside.
Main house: The main house has large high-ceilinged rooms round an internal courtyard and fountain, to give a real taste of Morocco. The decoration and furnishings are of the highest standard and there is air conditioning throughout.
The master bedroom with king-size bed and grand fireplace has two bathrooms, dressing room, patio, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems.
The cavernous kitchen is where Rabia the cook and housekeeper performs her magic, creating dishes from Morocco and France, to menus suggested by her and decided by you.
The living room has the gardens on one side and the inner courtyard on the other, with a majestic fireplace at its centre.
Second house: The second house has a living room and master bedroom with en suite bathroom, breakfast kitchen, and air conditioning. The floor is laid with the lovely Ourika stone.
Both houses are air conditioned or heated according to the time of year. All the furnishings, down to trinkets, are of the highest standard, and there are music systems, TVs, and home cinema DVD.
Staff: There are four staff: Rabia the caretaker/cook lives elsewhere on the property, as does Allal the nightwatchman. There is a gardener and a driver for airport transfers who can also act as your taxi-driver around Marrakech or tour guide for the day.
Included in the rental rates are: - airport transfers by taxi; - house cleaning, meal service and the laundry; - bedding, the towels and bath robes; - breakfast, lunch and dinner except two dinners or lunches each week to be agreed upon with Rabia the caretaker; - local red, white and rosé wines, and aperitifs (only champagne will be charged extra).
Marrakech is where Europe meets Africa, in a city of great beauty and excitement, magic and mystery. There are souks (markets), squares, gardens and temples in a jumble of neighbourhoods that always give you something else to experience and explore.
The city has long drawn bohemians and jet-setters with its exotic allure, fantastic shopping, restaurants and architecture. Staying at La Pivoine give you the best of both worlds – the excitement of Marrakech by day, total calm at night. |
