This cottage is truely for the discriminating vacationer, very romantic and beautifully appointed. The master suite is spacious and the full bath is to die for with a whirlpool, and both indoor and outdoor showers. This home is newly built with quality textures such as oak floors, tumble marble, limestone, & corrian. The ceilings are cathedral throughout.
Unlike many Vineyard rentals, we have added central air and a garage (for those who might bring up a convertible or motorcycle). Beach chairs, beach blanket and many more conveniences are included. The living room has 2 leather couches that are right in front of a gas fireplace....bring on the ambiance! Perfect for a honeymoon, rendevous, or proposal....very relaxing. One mile to the beach, one mile to the center of Edgartown, right on the bike path. Once you rent this gem it will be hard to go anywhere else.

Why the Owner Chose Katama
We chose to build in this location because of the close proximity of Edgartown, beach & bike path. "Katama" is one of the most sought after areas on the Vineyard because of it's natural beauty and dramatic "South Beach" shoreline.
Beautiful village of Edgartown is a short mile walk or easy bike ride. My pick for the prettiest town on the island.
Fabulous South Beach! Terrific waves, wonderful place to walk. Easy 1.2 mile walk or bike ride. Beautiful place year round.

I am a Realtor in Connecticut with an eye on retireing to the Vineyard. I designed and built this guest house to be a luxury retreat for couples. I wanted there to be a "wow" effect the second my guests walked through the door. I guess the plan worked because many of our guests come back every year. My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cottage for a week for our honeymoon. It was absolutely beautiful and exactly as the pictures show. While it was a bit cool due to the time of year that we visited, we enjoyed exploring the island. The cottage is located within walking distance to Edgartown, a lovely little town that we thoroughly enjoyed. We rented bikes one day and spent the afternoon exploring various parts of the island. The home was beautiful and perfect to relax in. We loved everything about our stay!!

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....... Unbelievable cozy cottage with shower for 2 , jacuzzi, fireplace, cozy livingroom and great kitchen. That's just the house....you also have the great beaches within walking distance and the red clay of Gayhead. Terrific little town that has all you could want and after a few days you won't want to leave the Vineyard. Great island. Owner is very accomodating and makes it apparant they just want you to have a great time while you are there. We will definitely be going back again!!! "

"We spent our two week honeymoon at this lovely cottage. The owners, of this little gem, have hit a grand slam in terms of the ammenities which they provide. This guest house bebefits from an excellent location and is fully equipped with modern conveniences. We contemplated renting bikes but found that we were better served by driving to the Vineyard's many towns/parks/beaches and then exploring them on foot. The cottage is very close to Norton Point and South Beach (approx a mile) as well as Edgartown. The only down side was having to come home."

" Dreamy, Dreamy, Dreamy..... Not a single detail is overlooked in this sparkling, spotless, beautifully appointed home. It reminds me of a Four Seasons property: that is how high the quality of decor, furnishings, linen, and towels are. The owners even have a giant basket of oils, soaps, shampoos, lotions and potions to choose from. Forget a tooth brush? It's there. SLIPPERS? Razor? Toothpaste? ALL THERE! It has a sumptuous feel but is not ostentatious or uncomfortable. On the contrary, the home just feels like one dreamy spa visit. The owners take their role in your vacation very seriously, recommending spots to try, asking suggestions on how to improve the home. It is a very special place and I implore you to book for next year and begin dreaming today...."
