What the Boston Globe says about Back Bay:
THE GOODS: A one-square mile neighborhood that is arguably one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Boston, Back Bay teems with history and affluence. Copley Square is the heart of Back Bay, featuring landmarks such as the Boston Public Library and the John Hancock Tower. Shoppers and tourists also flock to the Prudential Center. Commonwealth Avenue is the pride of the neighborhood - a beautiful, tree-lined boulevard with grand mansions and other stately homes. This neighborhood, along with Beacon Hill, is the place to live for the quintessential Boston experience and is popular with young professionals and empty nesters who fled the suburbs for city living after their kids left home. The housing stock is a mixture of Victorian brownstones and larger buildings nestled between high-rises offering luxurious living in snug quarters.
PROS: Served by the Green and Orange lines and an Amtrak station, Back Bay is close to everything. It's easy to hop onto the paths along the Charles River for an evening walk or bike ride. Real estate in this neighborhood will always be in demand so it's a good investment if you can afford it. These days there are more buildings offering luxury services like doormen, dog walking, and maid service for time-pressed residents.
CONS: Back Bay is one of the highest-priced neighborhoods in the Boston real estate market and you don't always get much space for your money. It's difficult to find a bargain here, and pickings are slim - if you find something you like, it's bound to sell quickly. Parking will be your next biggest concern. Spaces on the street are next to impossible to find and renting a private one will cost a pretty penny.

This location was great for my stay in Boston. Walking distance to everything I needed, included the T. Just a block away from the river. The apartment was nice, laid out well, and perfect for the length of stay. When I come back, I will definitely try and book this place.
Owner response:Thank you so much for the nice compliment.

I recently stayed at the apt on Marlborough St. and loved it! The atmosphere was so cozy and comfortable, much better then staying at any of the hotels and just as close to everything I wanted to do. The beds are very comfortable and actually give you more space than you think. I would definitely recommend this apartment!

Cozy little apartment in a lovely section of Boston. Comfy furniture, nice tub and shower, and tiny kitchen. The neighborhood is surprisingly quiet considering it is so close to everything we wanted to do. This was the perfect place for our 2nd honeymoon. Location made it easy to walk down Newbury St. for an ice cream, Spanish latte, Red Sox shirt, or luxury soap. Esplanade, Fenway, and Copley Square, all close by. Owner Michelle was so nice and available to answer all our questions. We are looking forward to staying there again!
Owner response:Thank you so much.

I stayed in the Back Bay/Fenway apartment. The location is great - Fenway is just across the street. It is a 10 minute walk to Hynes Convention Center area. The apartment is very well kept, very neat and comfortable. There were a couple of issues with front door lock - but the owner immediately responded by phone and email and had the lock replaced the same day within hours of my concerns arising. The price cannot be beat - much cheaper than area hotels. Overall a great place at a great price! I would rent from this owner again without concern.
Owner response:Thanks for the nice compliment!

You cannot beat this place. It is slightly larger than a hotel room, but has a much nicer feel. The price per night and the location are GREAT! You are only steps for Newbury street and all kinds of restaurants/bars and shopping. We walked to the theater district and Fenway Park. In fact we only used a taxi to get to/from the airport. The unit we had was on the 4th floor so there was a lot of steps to go up, but we looked at it as exercise to burn off some calories from the eating and drinking we were doing!
Owner response:Hi Mike Thank you so much for the nice compliment but I just want to mention that the apt is located on the 2nd floor not the 4th floor. Thank you very much. Michelle
