Sandy was so helpful in making these arrangements and our ever changing travel plans. The cabin was neat and clean and had everything we would need. The guys were thrilled at the fishing and secluded environment. One note - if you are planning on great cell reception, think again. Put your phone away and enjoy all that norther Michigan has to offer!

My family and I spent a great week at this comfortable cabin. The cabin was very clean and in a very peaceful setting on a no wake lake. We think the cabin is better in person compared to the photos. The owner has a keen eye for antiques and lovely hand made quilts and wall hangings abound. The owner was very nice regarding any question. We liked the recommended list of activities. We especially loved the eclectic shop "Spud Warehouse" in down town Gaylord. We enjoyed being close to many quaint towns with lovely shops and water views. We would give this cabin a strong two thumbs up and we will tell our friends and family it is a great place to stay.

We had such an enjoyable winter break at your cabin. We were so close to skiing and shopping, so all the bases were covered. The kids had fun exploring the surrounding property and there was plenty of room in the cabin so we were not all on top of each other. Thanks!

January 13, 2011 to January 17, 2011. Great experience in a very clean cabin with all the amenities. The kids really enjoyed walking the property and playing in the snow. Downhill skiing was available very close by. Nice, clean cabin with ample room for the children and adults. Would come back for sure.

Total misrepresentation of the lake. If you like swamps, rent here!

I would NOT rent this cabin again. The pictures of the lake are totally false. The "lake" is really a swamp. We were told there would be a place for our children to swim and there was not. The "swimming hole" was just an area where they cleared out the lily pads and reeds. The water is black. We even saw a snake in the "lake". The cottage was nothing too exciting and very basic (no dishwasher no AC). There were big black ants throughout the house and small black ants in the kitchen and all over the counters. I told the owner we were disappointed and was told "sorry Mother Nature put a snake in the lake." We were totally misled to believe this was a swimming lake and it is NOT. The owner really needs to update her pictures and stop presenting this as a lake for a family. I have rented 5 times from VRBO and this is the first time I have ever been mislead and disappointed by my rental.

We have two young children and really enjoyed staying at your cabin. We loved the list of suggested activities that you included for the surrounding areas. Our children loved playing in the woods, on the beach, and roasting marshmellows. As a mom, I really appreciated how spotless your cabin is. Thank you, The Pernicano Family Ann Arbor, Michigan

Our stay in the Gaylord cabin was EXACTLY what was advertised – private, fun, peaceful, and relaxing. Plenty of activities were close for all to enjoy whether it was reading a book on the beach, going to see a movie, taking a long bike ride, or just observing Mother Nature. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thanks! The Brugmann Family
