Step into the living room, located on the first floor, with a 32 inch TV and enjoy unobstructed views of the 150 acre lake while relaxing by the fireplace. The Living, Dining, and Kitchen are open so you can entertain guests while preparing a Gourmet Meal. There is also a Bedroom with a King Size Bed, and a full bath on the first floor, suitable for an elderly parent with no steps to encounter.
Enjoy your fine wines chilled to perfection in our Wine Cellar. Soothe those tired muscles in the 6 person Hot Tub overlooking the Lake. Roast "Smores" on the Lakeside Fire Pit.
One bedroom is on the first floor and has a king bed, there are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. There is also a double (full) sleeper sofa in the family room on the second floor. There is a marble bath and a ceramic tile bath. Hair Dryer and Toilet Tissue are also supplied.
Enjoy being in a secluded location but close to many restaurants such as the Bear Creek Inn which is less than ten minutes from the house, the Thyme Restaurant, and Pazzo just to name a few. Enjoy the Little Italy of the Poconos located in Old Forge, voted Pizza capitol USA. There is also a custard stand five minutes from the house. Try your luck at the new Mohican Sun Casino with 24 hour slots! Enjoy hiking the Lakawanna State Forest which is just a short 5 minutes away. Bring your Bikes!
This house is meticulously kept since the owners clean and service it personally. The second floor family room has a 27 inch TV and a 32 inch TV in the first floor living room. We provide a Sony PlayStation I & II, as well with many games. Enjoy unobstructed views of the lake from both the first and second floor. After a day on the lake, sooth those tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub which is always warmed upon your arrival. We also have a large selection of DVD Movies and VCR Movies for you to enjoy as well.
Lake Activities!
Take the Canoe out for what will be one of the best fishing experiences of your life! Our 150 Acre Lake is home to some of the Biggest Bass in the Poconos, including "Billy the Bucketmouth". There are also huge Pickerel and Yellow Perch the size of Bass. We also have every species of Trout, Carp, Catfish, Crappie, as well as the "Home of the 1LB. Sunfish". So if you are a Novice Fisher or an experienced Angler, "A Good Time Will Be had By All". Take the Canoe to the Island located in the center of the Lake for some outdoor adventure. Enjoy some of the most beautiful wild life the Poconos has to offer! Don't be surprised if you see a Bald Eagle crossing the Lake to his perch. We even have a beautiful Heron that visits us in Summer months. Also there are many species of Hummingbirds and Cardingals as well that can be see via the outdoor bird feeder. Don't be surprised if you look out the window early morning and see a Beaver building his Dam across the lake, as well as many Deer and Ducks. We also have a 17 foot fishing boat for all you Anglers looking to make the catch of the day!
On Site Outdoor Activities!
Relax and ease those tired muscles in the outdoor Hot Tub that overlooks the lake! Enjoy Dining by the Lake on the outdoor picnic table with umbrella. We provide lawn furniture as well. Enjoy a Lakeside fire in the Outdoor Fire Pit. Play a game of Horse Shoes, Bocci, Sunbathe, Swim or just relax and enjoy the ambiance the Lake has to offer. Floats provided for the kids! Fire up the Grill and make a Pitcher of Pina Coladas and enjoy, while relaxing in the chaise lounge. Let the kids explore the wildlife of the lake and catch a frog or turtle or two. On a hot summers day take a dip in the pristine spring fed lake in which you can see clear to the bottom. Let the Dogs cool off in the lake as well.
For our Winter Guests, don't be concerned about being snowed in! John, personally attends to the plowing and removal of snow, to ensure you are able to get to the slopes!
Ski, Snowboard, Sno Tube, at the Upscale Sno' Mountain (The old Montage Mountain), located just 20 minutes from the house in Scranton.
Enjoy Paintball, The Shoppes at Montage Mountain, The Crossings Shopping Outlets,The Mohican Sun Casino, Wachovia Arena with top entertainers. See a movie at the Cinemark Theatre at Montage with custom stadium seating, then grab a bite to eat at Johnny Rockets. Hike the Lakawanna State forest which is five minutes away. Golf at Thornhurst Country Club just ten minutes from the house.
Camelbeach water park is local and horseback riding as well. Visit Pocono Downs Racetrack and the Mohican Sun Casino with 24 hour slots now opened. Wyoming Valley Mall, Macy's, TGIFridays, Chuck E Cheese, Chinese Buffet, Red Robin, Bennigans, Wal-Mart Super Center, Wegmans specialty supermarket, fast food and fine dining are also a short drive from the house. Canoe and swim right out your back door. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and warm evening fires by the lake.
