Enjoy many hours of spirited competition with family & friends in our First Class Game Room, equipped with Pool Table, Air Hockey, Darts, Tournament Poker, Bingo, Assorted Games, Playstation I & II with a large selection of games, Stereo, TV, VCR, with Video and DVD Library, and for you Fitness enthusiasts, there is a Treadmill located in the game room, that overlooks the Lake. Step into the living room, located on the first floor, with a 32 inch TV and enjoy unobstructed views of the 150 acre lake while relaxing by the fireplace. The Living, Dining, and Kitchen are open so you can entertain guests while preparing a Gourmet Meal. There is also a Bedroom with a King Size Bed, and a full bath on the first floor, suitable for an elderly parent with no steps to encounter.
Enjoy your fine wines chilled to perfection in our Wine Cellar. Soothe those tired muscles in the 6 person Hot Tub overlooking the Lake. Roast "Smores" on the Lakeside Fire Pit.
One bedroom is on the first floor and has a king bed. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. There is also a double (full) sleeper sofa in the family room on the second floor. There is a marble bath and a ceramic tile bath. Hair Dryer Sheets, and Toilet Tissue are also supplied.
Enjoy being in a secluded location but close to many restaurants such as the Bear Creek Inn which is less than ten minutes from the house, the Thyme Restaurant, and Pazzo just to name a few. Enjoy the Little Italy of the Poconos located in Old Forge, voted Pizza capitol USA. There is also a custard stand five minutes from the house. Try your luck at the new Mohican Sun Casino with 24 hour slots! Enjoy hiking the Lakawanna State Forest which is just a short 5 minutes away. Bring your Bikes!
This house is meticulously kept since the owners clean and service it personally. The second floor family room has a 27 inch TV and a 32 inch TV in the first floor living room. We provide a Sony PlayStation I & II, as well with many games. Enjoy unobstructed views of the lake from both the first and second floor. After a day on the lake, sooth those tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub which is always warmed upon your arrival. We also have a large selection of DVD Movies and VCR Movies for you to enjoy as well.
Lake Activities!
Take the Canoe out for what will be one of the best fishing experiences of your life! Our 150 Acre Lake is home to some of the Biggest Bass in the Poconos, including "Billy the Bucketmouth". There are also huge Pickerel and Yellow Perch the size of Bass. We also have every species of Trout, Carp, Catfish, Crappie, as well as the "Home of the 1LB. Sunfish". So if you are a Novice Fisher or an experienced Angler, "A Good Time Will Be had By All". Take the Canoe to the Island located in the center of the Lake for some outdoor adventure. Enjoy some of the most beautiful wild life the Poconos has to offer! Don't be surprised if you see a Bald Eagle crossing the Lake to his perch. We even have a beautiful Heron that visits us in Summer months. Also there are many species of Hummingbirds and Cardingals as well that can be see via the outdoor bird feeder. Don't be surprised if you look out the window early morning and see a Beaver building his Dam across the lake, as well as many Deer and Ducks. We also have a 17 foot fishing boat for all you Anglers looking to make the catch of the day!
On Site Outdoor Activities!
Relax and ease those tired muscles in the outdoor Hot Tub that overlooks the lake! Enjoy Dining by the Lake on the outdoor picnic table with umbrella. We provide lawn furniture as well. Enjoy a Lakeside fire in the Outdoor Fire Pit. Play a game of Horse Shoes, Bocci, Sunbathe, Swim or just relax and enjoy the ambiance the Lake has to offer. Fire up the Grill and make a Pitcher of Pina Coladas and enjoy, while relaxing in the chaise lounge. Let the kids explore the wildlife of the lake and catch a frog or turtle or two. On a hot summers day take a dip in the pristine spring fed lake in which you can see clear to the bottom. Let the Dogs cool off in the lake as well.
For our Winter Guests, don't be concerned about being snowed in! John, personally attends to the plowing and removal of snow, to ensure you are able to get to the slopes!
Ski, Snowboard, Sno Tube, at the Upscale Sno' Mountain (The old Montage Mountain), located just 20 minutes from the house in Scranton.
Enjoy Paintball, The Shoppes at Montage Mountain, The Crossings Shopping Outlets,The Mohican Sun Casino, Wachovia Arena with top entertainers. See a movie at the Cinemark Theatre at Montage with custom stadium seating, then grab a bite to eat at Johnny Rockets. Hike the Lakawanna State forest which is five minutes away. Golf at Thornhurst Country Club just ten minutes from the house.
Camelbeach water park is local and horseback riding as well. Visit Pocono Downs Racetrack and the Mohican Sun Casino with 24 hour slots now opened. Wyoming Valley Mall, Macy's, TGIFridays, Chuck E Cheese, Chinese Buffet, Red Robin, Bennigans, Wal-Mart Super Center, Wegmans specialty supermarket, fast food and fine dining are also a short drive from the house. Canoe and swim right out your back door. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and warm evening fires by the lake.

Rita and John, We really enjoyed renting your house. We came up from Jersey. We brought our Yorkies and they loved it too! We really enjoyed the Hot Tub and snuggling by the Fire. It was a great weekend to just relax although the first nigh we had a blackout from the storm it was kinda cool. It's something to always remember. We are really hoping to come back this summer. Dear John & Rita, Our family enjoyed our stay here immensely! You have made this a great place for both indoor and outdoor fun. We had a wonderful 4th of July! We have never seen such an incredibly clean and clear lake! We learned that the best place to fish from the shore was the concrete dock by the dam between 7 and 9 PM to catch trout using wax worms and miniature marshmallows to make it float. It was a quiet, restful place to make wonderful family memories.

We really enjoyed our Anniversary vacation at your home. Sorry we called you so much but we just didn't know how to work the TV and Hot Tub. Carlo enjoyed the Super Bowl... earlier we went cross country skiing in the Lackawanna Forest (Snowmobile Trails) and no one ran us over! We came back here and enjoyed Chili, Nachos etc.. Our 35th Anniversary Monday we went hiking up Steep Pinchot Trail system with our doggies. It was really nice! We loved Wegmans food store and later that night enjoyed a fabulous snow storm, what a gift. The fireplace was great, we love a good fire. We had a great time! Best Wishes!

Rita & John, My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! We are visiting from the Jersey shore and coming up here to the mountains is such an awesome time. We found your place on VRBO. You guys made the trip easy and very affordable. We talked to you and a lot of different renters and you by far were the kindest and really interacted with us before renting your home. While we were here we went skiing at Camelback (Awesome mountain). The weather was cold 29 to 32 degrees. It snowed a few days! Loved it! John & Rita, We loved your house!! When we arrived we were so happy to see all the snow!! The views & scenery were so beautiful. Most of all we loved bringing our dogs. This is our first, but not our last pet friendly vacation we have been on. We enjoyed walking the dogs along West Ave. The kids loved the Pool Table too. The fireplace was very enjoyable. Gorgeous! This is the best description that I can give for this beautiful, Lakefront house that has everything. The house is definitely the nicest that we have ever stayed in. The Marble & Ceramic tile Baths are gorgeous. The bedrooms are very comfortable, The Game Room & Hot Tub are another added plus for having so much for such reasonable prices. This is by far the most Luxurious home for the best value we have ever stayed in. We have become regulars at the Bear Creek house returning 2 to 3 times every year. It has become "Our Favorite Spot." John & Rita always make our transaction a very pleasant one and we will definitely be back in the summer.

John & Rita, Where do we begin, the Location "Awesome", The house was wonderfully comfortable, clean and inviting. The Lake was directly right outside the door and the view was breathtaking! The bathrooms are especially gorgeous. John's Tile Work is outstanding especially the shower on the first floor. We especially love the fact that there are no homes on the other side of the lake which made for a lovely view looking out the picture window. We took the boats out and caught a few fish. The water is crystal clear and we really enjoyed preparing our meals in your beautiful well equipped kitchen, we were delighted to see that you even supplied a Crock Pot! We would highly recommend this rental. It is outstanding, thank you so much.

Dear John & Rita, What a great house! After traveling 3000 miles from San Francisco, Ca. it was so nice to walk into a cozy warm home! The kids and my hubby have spent countless hours in the game room. I believe they had an olympic air hockey tournament. Myself, I enjoyed cooking in your lovely kitchen. Although it has been a bit windy, the sun has been shining so we ventured out on the lake with the canoe. What a blast! We also took advantage of the Hot Tub.
