  This was our very first VRBO experience, and it was a very nice one! Three generations of our family stayed here together, and we all had a lovely time! Although the weather was unusually cold for this area's Spring, the house location literally just steps from the beach meant that we could enjoy the shoreline often for brief periods throughout the day. So, at Full Timeout, we still were able to have fun playing by the seaside--even with the off-season weather! Small note for the novice house renter like me: you need to bring your own toilet paper & paper towels (which totally makes sense, I just had not anticipated this!) Easy & excellent beach access. Pretty views. Lovely, spacious porch & deck. Spacious kitchen for family cooking. We encountered some small maintenance issues in need of repair, and let the homeowner know. The house was very clean & has strong wifi. Full Timeout is a wonderful family friendly gathering spot, and we enjoyed our stay very much!

  BEAUTIFUL!! We drove down from Cincinnati to see my son off for his deployment with the Marines. The pictures do not do this house justice....we had such a great time and Joe was so easy to work with...would love to go back again, hopefully soon! Max's Pizza and Hwy 55 burgers were AWESOME! Great location, close to everything, beach was very clean!

  Spent a week in this home with my parents, grandmother, an aunt and a cousin. This was my first time in this house, having spent my previous trips in other houses, but Grandma insisted on this house. And says if she can't get Full Time Out, she would rather not even go. She can't go down to the beach but loves that she can sit on the end of the walk and watch us on the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, and Grandma likes staying at the house instead of going to eat. I was informed last week that our reservations have been made for October 2013! I can't wait, as this is my time away from my children and grandchildren.

  This was our first "real" vacation as a family (We have an 18 month old daughter) and our first time renting a house for a vacation destination. It couldn't have went any better! My best friend from childhood and his family (Their son is 21 months) went with us. Very uncrowded beaches (unexpected for mid-July!) Perfect house for two families. The pictures don't do the house justice. It's much nicer! Awesome large deck with screened in porch. The owner of the home was ALWAYS available to answer questions via phone or email. I can't wait to come back to Topsail Island! House was very clean when we arrived and everything worked perfectly. Thank you Joe for providing us with an outstanding vacation destination!

  The home was just as described and pictured. It was very comfortable, clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Loved the proximity to the beach and the porch and deck. Joe, the owner was very pleasant and easy to work with. I am hoping to return for future vacations!!

  Full Timeout was a last minute excursion for 2 military families. We could not have been happier with the layout of the house. Pictures do not do it justice for how well it's laid out for relaxing the days away. We had early risers in our party and it was so appreciated by the late sleepers how quiet everything in the house is that their sleep wasn't disturbed by movement of others...no slamming doors, sounds don't carry from room to room, etc. We only left the house/beach for essentials at the grocery store, so can't comment on local attractions. I can say that with kids in our house ranging from 8-13 years old, we never heard anyone complain about being bored. Plus we felt completely safe allowing the older kids the freedom to walk the beach unsupervised. Definitely planning our trip back next year!

  This place was very adequate for our needs. The reports of dolphins are true. We saw about 30 or 40 right off the beach and it was amazing. Because of the time of year and the fact that the property probably is closed up for extended periods of time, there was a musty odor coming from the downstairs area. Would have been irritating if we weren't able to open all windows and if we were staying more than 4 days. Owner very personable and easy to communicate with. Would recommend this place and thinking about making our visits to Surf City a yearly tradition.

  Comfortable, clean, unpretentious: it's the ideal Topsail house for a small family, a leisurely 1/2 hour walk to the pier @ Surf City but far enough so that you don't feel crowded by the action. Joe, the owner, is easygoing and very responsive.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We couldn't have been happier with choosing this lovely house with its astonishing ocean view and location. We came for just a few days of relaxation with some friends and their small children. The downstairs is great for giving the adults and kids their own space. The bed in the master bedroom is VERY comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed and had everything I needed, I cook A LOT, and I was pleased that I didn't want for anything in the kitchen during our stay. And the beach, don't get me started. Someday, I will own a little slice of heaven on the beach like this home, but until then I plan to return to Full Time Out again and again. Already planning another trip- can't wait to go back!

  Our 2 families went to the beach for a week in June and it was wonderful. The house is just as described, the beach was wonderful, the dolphins an amazing sight to see. We loved having the upstairs/dowstairs suite for travelling with teens as they could have their own space and a little freedom of their own. We had a couple of problems with things at the house but Joe could not have been any more responsive or taken care of it any quicker. It was SO appreciated! He made sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be and we were so grateful for that. Thanks so much for sharing your home. We will be back!!!
