The home was just as described and pictured. It was very comfortable, clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Loved the proximity to the beach and the porch and deck. Joe, the owner was very pleasant and easy to work with. I am hoping to return for future vacations!!

Under-Rated Paradise

Full Timeout was a last minute excursion for 2 military families. We could not have been happier with the layout of the house. Pictures do not do it justice for how well it's laid out for relaxing the days away. We had early risers in our party and it was so appreciated by the late sleepers how quiet everything in the house is that their sleep wasn't disturbed by movement of others...no slamming doors, sounds don't carry from room to room, etc. We only left the house/beach for essentials at the grocery store, so can't comment on local attractions. I can say that with kids in our house ranging from 8-13 years old, we never heard anyone complain about being bored. Plus we felt completely safe allowing the older kids the freedom to walk the beach unsupervised. Definitely planning our trip back next year!

This place was very adequate for our needs. The reports of dolphins are true. We saw about 30 or 40 right off the beach and it was amazing. Because of the time of year and the fact that the property probably is closed up for extended periods of time, there was a musty odor coming from the downstairs area. Would have been irritating if we weren't able to open all windows and if we were staying more than 4 days. Owner very personable and easy to communicate with. Would recommend this place and thinking about making our visits to Surf City a yearly tradition.

Comfortable, clean, unpretentious: it's the ideal Topsail house for a small family, a leisurely 1/2 hour walk to the pier @ Surf City but far enough so that you don't feel crowded by the action. Joe, the owner, is easygoing and very responsive.

We couldn't have been happier with choosing this lovely house with its astonishing ocean view and location. We came for just a few days of relaxation with some friends and their small children. The downstairs is great for giving the adults and kids their own space. The bed in the master bedroom is VERY comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed and had everything I needed, I cook A LOT, and I was pleased that I didn't want for anything in the kitchen during our stay. And the beach, don't get me started. Someday, I will own a little slice of heaven on the beach like this home, but until then I plan to return to Full Time Out again and again. Already planning another trip- can't wait to go back!

Awesome week at the Beach!

Our 2 families went to the beach for a week in June and it was wonderful. The house is just as described, the beach was wonderful, the dolphins an amazing sight to see. We loved having the upstairs/dowstairs suite for travelling with teens as they could have their own space and a little freedom of their own. We had a couple of problems with things at the house but Joe could not have been any more responsive or taken care of it any quicker. It was SO appreciated! He made sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be and we were so grateful for that. Thanks so much for sharing your home. We will be back!!!

Close to the Atlantic and Spacious!

I want to go back next year when I have time! The house was even closer to the ocean than I'd guessed from the photos!!! It was big, clean, and airy, with lots of windows on the 2nd floor. The first floor has 3rd and 4th bedrooms, another full bathroom, and a huge room for games and TV. My favorite features were the screened porch and huge deck, the whole width of the house. Joe was friendly and quick to reply, and the JGS - Jimmy Grubb's Seafood shop just after the bridge was wonderful!

GREAT home. Very nicely decorated and furnished. Clean and well maintained. GREAT location, RIGHT on the beach. You cannot beat this location. Spectacular views. You can see Dolphin's while standing in the livingroom! Joe is a great owner, very helpful and accomodating. You will be VERY HAPPY here!

Right on the Beach

The house was spacious, comfortable, clean and in a great location. There was cable TV and internet access which was an added bonus. The owner was very helpful by email or phone. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives of all ages. FUN house all around! Falling asleep to crashing waves and walking on the beach made our family reunion with our son returning from Afghanistan that much better. We spent most of our time at the house but enjoyed some pizza right down the street. The grocery store was very close. Could not have asked for a better weekend. Will definitely rent this house again.

Wonderful oceanfront cottage on Topsail

It's obvious the care and thought the owners put into their home's renovation. We really enjoyed having a huge screened porch. So many beach houses don't have this feature. Along with the decking, this made for a wonderful outdoor space when we weren't on the beach. The layout is nice for a family, with two bedrooms on the upper level (the master is oceanfront) and two bedrooms on the ground level. The ground level is a great area for kids because it also has a living area with TV and couches. Joe was very proactive and accommodating in arranging our stay. We hope to return again.

Super Beach Vacation Rental!

Our extended family ages 2-60 stayed at Full Timeout the first week of August and truly enjoyed it! The two floors with an additional living area certainly gave all of us some breathing space. The centrally located cottage is convenient to restaurants, shopping, etc., spacious, well maintained, and very well laid out. Sitting on the spacious porch was so relaxing. The owner was quick to respond to our needs and very easy to work with. We are already planning to rent this same unit next year! Thanks, Joe!

Oceanfront fun

We love staying here. We have stayed here 4 times and now it is a tradition. This house is so close to everything. We love the screened in porch and listening to the ocean waves. Our kids have a great time playing on the beach and relaxing in the house. You can't get any closer to the beach. The house shows the owner's pride-the inside decor is up to date and well maintained. I only hope your family has as much fun as ours.

A True Beach Lovers Time Out

We loved the three times we stayed at Full Time Out. The house is perfect for a family - with plenty of space to spread out. It is full of light and the combination of screened and non-screened porches offer something for everyone. To spend a week in a house sitting right on the beach is just a little bit of heaven. The property is clean and well maintained without being pretentious - a true beach cottage. I recommended it to my sister who stayed there last summer and she was hooked! When the economy gets better, we will surely come back to our favorite beach house.
