Gonatouki villa has 10 bedrooms, including 2 suites, elegantly decorated with tadellakt and small handmade Moroccan furniture, with private bathroom and sun terrace overlooking beautiful sceneries, the sea, the mountain and the countryside.
The many lounges and the patio give off a welcoming and familial atmosphere. The staff takes good care of their hosts, and the owner gives them advice on every activity and discover to do. Wi-Fi available everywhere.
The swimming corridor is a must-have; the large leisure pool and the children pool are pure delight.
The massage salon and the Turkish bath will leave you with unforgettable memories.
You can eat in a living room, on a terrace or at the host table depending on your wishes and taste the delicious specialities made by our cook.

WeI spent 10 happy blissful days in Villa Gonatouki, Ghazoua village where the villa is situated. It is about 10-15 minutes car drive from Essaouira; the road leading to the villa is a rough 3 km track, which you get to know and like pretty quickly, it certainly adds a feeling that you are abroad. The villa is simply huge and clearly built and decorated with love and passion for Moroccan traditions of woodwork and stone carving. There are over 100 Moroccan lamps hung throughout the house (castle, really) and after awhile you notice that all corners are curved. Some walls of the villa covered in tadelakt (gorgeous traditional Moroccan plastering technique), the floors tiled in different patterns. We stayed in one of the prestige rooms (green room) with a massive terrace and views over nearby ruins, Atlantic ocean and the main pool. Our bathroom windows deserve a special mentioning as they frame outside surroundings in delightful pictures.The house gradually grows on you and by the end of our staying it did feel like home. The food prepared by Samira, Hafida, Khaoula or Bouchra was simply delicious. You have an easy access to the kitchen (in the morning you simply walk in and tell where you wish to have breakfast). Our favourite spot was patio where we spent many tranquil hours reading or having mint tea. We sunbathed by the main pool (there are two) or a terrace next to one of the salons equipped with comfortable sofas, coffee tables and big TV screen. Dinners and lunches were served in either a salon overlooking soothing landscapes or a dining room next to the kitchen. We want to say huge thank you for all the girls who fed us and greeted us every day with beaming smiles, hugs and kisses! The villa gardens are well maintained by a quite man Mustafa. A new feature of the villa is spacious hammam and massages, you must try them both as you will learn a lot about traditional Moroccan beauty regimes. The hammam will wipe out any stress left in you and argan oil will do wonders to your tired skin. A few words about Brigitte, our host - a kind and warm French lady, who made us feel at home and made us laugh, took us to Essaouira frequently and showed us around the medina and several places outside. Our stay in Gonatouki was the most charming, warm and blissful time where borders of host-guest blurred and merged into a strong sense of belonging and home. Souvenir mémorable, des vacances que l'on n'oubliera jamais. C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons passer des vacances avec mon épouse à Gonatouki, l'acceuil y est particulièrement chaleureux, les propriétaires sont la pour vous accueillir, vous assister pour réserver toutes les activités à faire, voiture à louer, toutes les spécialités culinaires à tester. L'arrivée sur la villa se fait par une piste en pleine campagne Marocaine et notre surprise fut totale! Ce n'est pas vraiment une villa mais plutôt un palais avec une architecture magnifique qui se dresse devant nous! Tout est réalisé avec des matériaux et artisanat marocain, c'est somptueux. Les volumes sont impressionnants. Nous avions une chambre supérieure avec une très grande terrasse, une cheminée dans la chambre qui était superbement décorée! Le grand luxe! Difficile de descendre à la médina à quelques kilomètres en voiture, on profite tellement du calme, des 2 énormes piscines, des spécialités marocaines que les propriétaires nous ont fait découvrir. La déco de la villa est réalisée avec beaucoup de goût et on peut se reposer dans un des multiples salons, sur les terrasses, rester au bord de la piscine... Le rapport qualité prix par rapport à la prestation offerte est excellent! Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du hammam qui était en cours de finition mais nous espérons bien le tester une prochaine fois! Les activités sont également très sympas, nous avons fait 2 ballades à cheval sur la plage après avoir traverser l'oued et les dunes, la baie est immense, nous avons pu galoper autant que nous le souhaitions, on se croyait dans Lawrence d'Arabie. Nous avons fait une ballade en quad dans des chemins presque fait pour, ainsi que dans les dunes. Golfeur depuis 15 ans, le golf est somptueux, le fairway est une véritable moquette et le parcours magnifique; Les prix pratiqués sont similaires à Marrakech ou Agadir. Enfin le charme de la médina d'Essaouira nous a envoûté encore une fois, un lieu très pittoresque ou il est bien agréable de faire son shopping, les marchands y sont beaucoup moins aggressifs qu'a Marrakech et bien plus avenants!
