Pros: GREAT LOCATION. Period. Close to Pike Place, a short walk to the Seattle Center and the Space Needle, great restaurants, a jazz bar down the street (Tulas) the list goes on.... Convenience of access to parking downtown cannot be overstated. Pool for the kids. Gym to workout in (more on this later). Very comfortable beds. Convenient to be able to do laundry in the unit. In general, a comfortable little condo. Bottle of wine in the condo was a nice touch after a long day traveling. Cons: Noisy. Not recommended for light sleepers. Toilet was sometimes difficult and ran, requiring some fiddling with the handle and removal of the lid to get things "unstuck". Wireless router was unstable. I unplugged the router there and used my own, then everything was rock solid (my wife and I are consultants so good internet access is absolutely critical. I tend to travel with a "tech suitcase" with everything we may need to ensure a good internet connection). Now for the major con, but not one that should affect other travelers. One of the primary reasons I chose this place was for the gym, as I workout daily. Unfortunately the gym floor was being replaced the week we were there. I was going to call the onsite manger to see if other arrangements had been made for guests, but, she called us on an unrelated manner and was not aware the gym was closed. So, obviously no arrangements had been made. I ended up using the Seattle Athletic club (nice, but $15/day) and this added up to additional expense while we were there. Although a major disappointment for me but, as noted, this should not affect others and was probably a onetime event. For the cost of rental it would have been nice if there was an alternative arrangement made ahead of schedule, with reduced rates for condo guests. I have had this done at several hotels and this is probably why I had this expectation. To be fair, I did not call to complain about the situation so I cannot assess management responsiveness to this inconvenience (I was on vacation and didn't want the stress of complaining and haggling over additional cost). Finally, this is a great little place, but I would say the view is just so-so. Next time I will book further in advance. At this price level, I saw other condos (not available) with a better view, but please do recognize there are many good things this condo has going for it, and I don't think anyone would be unhappy with this choice.

Owner response: When we get a review like this I really wish the guest would have contacted me so we could have made their stay better! I truly have my phone with me 24/7 and would have told them how to reset the wireless as there is a specific way to do this by removing the battery. Also, with the gym being closed I could have assisted them with alternatives. We manage 8 units and I don't obviously wouldn't have a chance to stay in them between each guest, so we rely partially on feedback from the guest. If there are issues with anything I am always ready to assist on the spot, please be assured we are very attentive to needs of our guests!
Nice property, good location, a couple of hiccups.

This is a nice property right in the heart of Belltown. It is starting to show some wear and we found a couple of issues that needed owner attention the day we arrived. The owners fixed them the next day, but since we brought the issues to their attention upon arrival (no TV sound and no internet) it would have been nice to get these things fixed that evening. Katrina responded quickly to our phone calls and text messages, but tried to talk us thru fixing the items ourselves, which couldn't be done On the positive side, we found the beds comfortable, the water pressure good and the kitchen well-equipped.. There are several great restaurants and pubs close by but as result, it is quite noisy on a Saturday night. A couple of previous reviews said it was "vibrant", but let's keep it real....it was pretty loud. The weekday nights aren't nearly as bad, but you need to be prepared for the weekend noise.

Perfect location and fabulous unit!
Perfect location and fabulous unit!
We were happy in every way with this unit. Unit is exactly what the pictures portray. It was a little small for us house dwellers but there was sufficient room. Location was FABULOUS! Close to everything...Pikes, the waterfront, the Needle, etc. We were there three mornings and had breakfast from Macrina Bakery, which is located right in the building, every day! There is a small, well stocked mini market also in the building. Underground parking was a little small but we did have a monster SUV. Lots of street parking around the building if just running back to the unit. Kitchen was a big plus and well stocked. Washer/dryer came in handy too. Can't say enough good things about the unit. It worked out well in every way. Being a fellow VRBO owner it was nice to see that it really does work.

OH MY GOD!
OH MY GOD!
It has been said that a picture is worth a 1000 words, and in the case of this condo the pictures tell it all! It is truly as CUTE as you see it! I was elated as I walked in the door at 1AM in the morning after a long flight. Katrina the owner is an interior decorator that knows how to make this work, and this is coming from someone who knows the business not only of decorating but also rentals. This place is a DO NOT MISS! We had EVERYTHING we needed and more.Fully equipped with all the extras, all the way down to soap and shampoo, and coffee. The building has a great rec. area, pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Belltown in itself is a quaint area with boutique shopping and organic dining, and only a short walk to all the freshness of Pikes Place Market. What a winner for a vacation!

This condo was everything we expected and more! Everytime I do a condo rental, I am worried that it will not be as advertised, however, in this instance, my fears were absolutely baseless. The condo looks exactly like the pictures. The living/dining area is really nicely decorated and is warm and welcoming. Everything was immculately clean. The Emerald City Suites team was wonderful to work with as we planned our trip. This unit is very thoughfully outfitted with touches that make it homey and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, from coffee grinder/machine to dishes, pots & pans and utensils. We lacked nothing. The bathroom is lovely, and there was shampoo & soap & a hairdryer, all unexpected extras. The beds are excellent, in particular the new king. I slept on the murphy bed which was great, and my daughter took the very nice sleeper. The air matress made it very comfy. The linens are all provided and of a very nice quality. The only caveat is that if you are using all the beds, you will have limited storage for your things, so pack wisely. Finally, some notes about the neighborhood and noise. If you look at reviews of other properties in Belltown Court, you'll see complaints, and they had me concerned. Bottom line: it's all about expectations. This is a city neighborhood and it is very vibrant. There was some construction noise during the day, and some very limited noise form the street at night. The master bedroom of this unit is off the street, so it was close to silent in there. In the living room, we heard nothing on the weeknights after about 9, and maybe a bit more on the weekend as people left the local restaurants. We did hear the cruise ship horns on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but they didn't bother us at all. In terms of the neighborhood, there were a couple of blocks nearby that were not as nice as others, but that is in every city. Belltown Court itself is very lovely, and we really enjoyed having Macrina Bakery right in the building. All in all, we would return if we were every in the area again!

We stayed here in MAY 2011 for a week while attending a conference at the Sheraton (15 minutes walk away). We found the apartment block clean and secure, and the apartment itself was just as advertised. The rooms were a good size. ALL the beds were excellent including the one in the living room. The kitchen was useful, with a good hob and oven and all the dishes etc you will need. The laundry was also excellent and simple to use. The restaurants nearby are good and convenient and there is a convenience store just around the corner. We'll certainly use the apartment again if we get the chance.

About the owner: I am a real estate professional since 1998 and have lived in the building and know it is the best building in Belltown! This is why my husband and I have invested in the units and Emerald City Suites. When you look at the pictures you can see that we have paid close attention to detail and we try to accomodate all our guests needs. We redesigned this particular unit planning to use it part time and no expense was spared! It is a unique in that it is a corner unit and takes advantage of the water view, and is on Wall street which is the quietest location. The building is most central in the Belltown Area and is one of the only that I know of with an indoor pool.
Why the Owner Chose Belltown:
Not many buildings in Seattle allow vacation rentals and are also zoned properly to allow this (I can think of only two). Our building has the ultimate location and with my design background we are able to create an experience that can't be found in a hotel. We travel all over the world using VRBO and it is the best way to go!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
When we stay at the condo we love how everything is so close by. Starbucks, Macrina Bakery, restaurants and clubs. We walk everywhere and love to go to Pike Place Market. Even though we've lived in Seattle for 20 plus years we still like to enjoy all the attractions as if we are tourists! Seattle is beautiful!
