Want to get away? The Grand Canyon is absolutly breathtaking, but it is a long drive with very limited lodging. The Califonia Delta is a great option. Get your fishing pole, swim suit and some food and maybe the kids, put a little gas in the wagon and drive about 1 hour from anywhere in the Bay area and you will be world away on the Delta. Relax and get some down time.

Beautiful, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, completely remodeled, waterfront home sleeps 10 in beds. Right on the water, our home is located on Taylor Slough on Taylor Rd, Bethel Island Ca. 94511. Nice double 42 foot covered dock right in the back yard. Just minutes from 1000 miles of water waiting to be discovered. Fishing, swimming, boating, water-skiing and wake-boarding.

Bedding: 3 queens, 1 bunk, and two futons. Sleeps 10 in beds, room for 12. Full kitchen, linens and electronics,Comcast DSL TV, Stereo, Telephone, and DVD/VHS. Weber BBQ, Small gas gril, and large deck for wasting time in the evenings.

Bethel Island is in the heart of the Delta, centrally located and close to nice dining and 10 marinas. 67 miles from San Jose.

Our best asset is that we are 12 minutes to fast water with fuel at the fast water marker. Mariner's Cove Marina is at the fast water marker, this provides easy access to fuel coming and going from the house for folks that like to get out early with a full tank.

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

Hello,
We are Tom and Debbie, Married since 1981 with 2 grown kids. I am originaly from Boston and Debbie is a native of San Jose. Our private residence is in San Jose. We have been living and working in the bay area all our lives.

Why the Owner Chose Discovery Bay

We chose the California Delta because since the 1st time we launched our boat in the 90's we fell in love with the peaceful beauty of the waterways and wildlife there is to explore.

Where else in California can you BBQ on the deck and step in your boat in the back yard and motor for hours or days long from San Francisco to Sacramento and back again! Love this place!

The Unique Benefits of this Vacation Home

You are a world away from the hustle and bustle of every day life... yet just and hour away from most Bay Area locations. You can swim, fish, ski, or just relax and let the time go by with family and friends. The views and wildlife are worth the time spent, and you really can not bond with family at an amusement park. Here there is no rush to do anything... terrific, quality time!

    • This house was awesome!!! My family and I had a great time. Good fishing, good weather, room for 2 boats, great water and a well stocked house. The kitchen had everything we needed for big meals. There were plenty of games and movies. A great area to get away from city life for a while! Tom and Debbie have a great thing here and I would highly recommend it.

      Homeowner Response:
