Interior designed and furnished by Toby West, Atlanta interior decorator, was published on the cover of the July,2004 issue of Veranda Magazine for its breathtaking views and color; "Panhandle Pallette," thus the name "Second Sandbar" as it is the aqua color inside and out, of the gorgeous second sandbar in the Gulf.

This is what a vacation is all about!! Beautiful living (like in my dreams), gorgeous weather (no rain in sight), and a town that was from a time gone by (you would think Disney had created it). Everything in this rental is perfect; the interior, the on the beach setting, the spaciousness, and all the amenities. Nothing was overlooked. A week was too short of time to explore. There was always something going on in town (steps away), great shops in the surrounding areas, a pool, great restaurants, biking, and of course the beautiful beaches with chairs, set up just for you. You'll never want to go home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our family has had the privilege of spending a week each summer at Second Sandbar for the past 5 years. It is exactly what you'd dream about for the perfect beach house. The home in decorated beautifully! Everything flows with the view of the blue/green water from the windows that make up the entire back of the house. The new owners have been great to work with and the house, as always, was immaculate!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The Second Sandbar is graciously appointed with everything to make your stay comfortable and luxurious. This home is a class act with all the comforts of home and then some....The view is astounding,, the beach is at your backdoor and the location is within walking distance of the quaint little village of Seaside. While there don't miss the farmer's market or outdoor concerts. I would stay there again and again and again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Just back from my first stay in Watercolor as well as my first stay at this home! Could not believe how beautiful the house is! The beds were so comfortable it was hard to leave in the morning, except for the fact that we were right on the beach! Loved having our own happy hour on our own deck every night! So cool! Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This home has it all!!! The location right on the beach, with the most beautiful view of the ocean sets the tone at arrival. It is impeccably appointed from head to toe, offering amenities galore (bicycles, beach chairs, beach towels). I will definitely be coming back to the area and staying in this incredible home. It's absolutely gorgeous!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

After 7 years of wonderful use by our clients we hve upgraded the soft goods and replaced with new fabrics; and outside twice annual handwashing of the cottage to keep that new pristine look that our wonderful guests deserve in a 6-Star vacation resort as the Veranda Cover Second Sandbar...65% of our guest each year are alumni return vacationers; we try very hard to meet their expectations, thanks for coming. About the owner: Stephen and I are about to celebrate a quarter of a century together. We have both shared a love of travel throughout our marriage. While we have cherished the memories that we have accrued in other far off places, we have never found a beach nearly as beautiful nor as family friendly as the Seaside area of Florida. Our children loved the place so much and felt so at home here that they were convinced that this was our "other home". We are thrilled that the Second Sandbar is in fact now our home and we look forward to sharing this beautiful place with your family!
Why the Owner Chose WaterColor:
We travelled up and down the Florida coast looking for just the right spot, from the Florida Keys and Naples to Sarasota and the Destin Beach areas. When our three children were young, we enjoyed ourselves so immensely at Seaside and felt so rejuvenated by the time we left, we knew we had to return to see if this was the place for us to actually choose for the long term. Needless to say with the addition of the airport access in Panama City and the expanse of fabulous restaurants and shops to go along with the most fabulous beach in the world, we couldn't wait to call the Second Sandbar home! We hope that you will consider this a "second home" for your next family vacation!
