This house is the perfect log cabin!! So cozy and inviting. We stayed here Easter weekend to spend time with our son and some other cadets that attend VMI. We wanted to give them a peaceful comfortable place to relax for the weekend. The kitchen was great- stocked with everything you need. The bathrooms were also very nice. We have a daughter attending JMU and wanted a place to spend some family time over the weekend. This home was beautiful! It had plenty of space and all of the needed extras. ONLY rent this cabin if you want a superior accomodation at an unbeatable value and location over any other condo at Massanutten Resort or similar sized house rental. The previous 5 star reviews are right on. The pictures reflect the cabin perfectly, super clean and maintained, great layout, very comfortable beds, and experienced rental owners made the entire process and weekend one of the most memorable for our family of 5. It has a great feel and balance of upscale cabin and amenities without the unnatural over-the-top luxury that we do not enjoy. We had a great stay at this cabin. It is a beautiful home, fully equipped, and in a great resort area. We ate at a fabulous restaurant down the street called Hank's Smokehouse. The owner provided excellent customer service. We were in constant contact with him and he responded promptly to our many questions. I would recommend this property. The cabin made for such a cozy weekend! We were a group of 7 and comfortably enjoyed this very beautifully decorated cabin. We made fires every night and enjoyed being out in the mountains, close to hiking trails, the ski resort, and other fun activities. It was easy to arrange with the owner and a great price . The cabin was exquisitely maintained and well furnished. We spent the Thanksgiving holiday, enjoying the wood-burning fireplace and the beautiful outdoors. My only little hangup with the cabin is against the actual picture of the cabin; it appears to be isolated in a rustic setting but it is really situated a sub-urban neighborhood in the mountains.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We stayed for two weeks, a three generation family of two grandparents, parents and three children. The lodge gave us all space for privacy and is a lovely place to stay. The description was accurate and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Virginia. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
