This top floor and rooftop terrace apartment has ducted air-conditioning, is luxuriously appointed with three bedrooms, one queen and two twins (which zip up to create king size beds if preferred) two bathrooms, a wonderful gourmet kitchen and open plan lounge/dining opening out onto the covered patio.
Up a short spiral staircase you find the private roof terrace featuring an electric barbeque,dining suite and sunlounges. Not to mention the fantastic views across the beach and sea. The perfect spot to enjoy those beautiful North Queensland clear night skies. The apartment also boasts a spectacular lap pool at the front of the property for those who prefer to swim in fresh water.

Although I have booked accommodation via the internet all over the world., I found myself hesitant about doing so in my own country (cautiously wondering if the property would live up to it's decription...and therefore my expectations). I need not have worried. The Pacific Penthouse passed every test. The interior was exactly as depicted in the photos, very spacious, comfortable and wanting for nothing... .(it could not have been cleaner and the owners have thought to include everything you could possibly think of nad then some). I will say that the photos of the exterior did not do the place justice. It is in fact much nicer than shown. Seriously I would not hesitate to recommend this property for the independant travellor who wants to holiday in peace and quiet (and luxury) ...away from the Cairns back- packer crowd.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

Stayed at Yorkeys Knob in this totally gorgeous penthouse for eleven wonderful days with our two children. Dealing with the owner was easy she is very helpful, friendly and efficient. On our arrival we knew instantly that we had chosen the best apartment. It is far more impressive than the photos suggest. With style and space it feels and looks fabulous. The views are wonderful and the smart, comfortable furniture allowed the four of us to sit comfortably on the huge balcony over-looking the palms to the beach. We explored all the beaches right up to Cape Tribulation. The area is stunning and the beaches are all beautiful but we decided that there was no other beach we would rather have been. Yorkeys Knob is a large, unspoilt beach. The sand and water are lovely and little beach islands appear when the tide goes out, great fun and very pretty. The kite-surfers gather some afternoons they are very impressive and watching them on the water entertained us too. We did lots of trips including pretty Milla Milla falls, we enjoyed driving for miles. Cairns Tropical Zoo is very close, we liked making friends with the informative staff and the Joeys! We had two incredible days on The Great Barrier Reef, we swam with an array of beautiful fish, sharks and turtles. A very helpful local lady (details left in the penthouse) checks weather for you/books them for you, if you like. We always felt as if we were coming home after our trips, it was a lovely feeling. The showers are hot with good water pressure, beds comfortable with fresh clean sheets and the kitchen is well equipped with everything in good working order. It is extremely spacious, bright and airy. The surrounding area is smart and the local people are friendly. We were delighted to be fortunate enough to stay at this splendid place, it was a big relief having come all the way form the UK. We can't think of any negative points, we loved it. It is delightful and so is the owner. Fabulous, wonderful, wish we had longer. (There is only one point to consider, if you are not very able-bodied then the stairs may prohibit you).

Exactly as the listing promised. Quiet, clean, safe, well built, wonderfully furnished and appointed apartment as close to the Coral Sea as possible. Short, safe walk for children between the apartment and the beach. Gorgeous view of the ocean. Streets had very little traffic and only a few people on the beach at any time; never crowded. Owner was very helpful throughout our stay. A great value.
