This large, 280 square foot, luxury studio is located in an ancient residence of Louis XIII's gardsmen, named "La Maison des Trois Jardins," the house of three gardens. It opens on to a classified 17th century courtyard. This private residence is approached from Rue Mouffetard or from Rue Tournefort.
The Studio has a 130 square foot main salon with basic Cable TV with DVD and Cable DSL high speed Internet access with wi-fi and a double sofabed. The furnishings (tasteful, in the Art Deco style) include a small eating table with four chairs, a side table with reading lamp, a small round coffee table, a Halogen-style floor lamp, a modern "minimalists style" easy chair, and a cabinet. It has a buffet, high ceilings with exposed wooden beams, nicely finished hardwood floors, and a one large window that overlooks the rue Mouffetard fresh food market. The overall sense of space and light is increased by the use of a large floor-to-ceiling wall mirror.
Kitchen appliances include a four-burner electric cook-top, built-in, conventional oven, microwave, a clothes washer and dryer, along with all utensils and dishes for two people. The modern tiled bathroom has a full bathtub with hand shower with a wall mount so it can be used either way, a basin, and a toilet in its own enclosure.
