The Las Olas condominium complex (our condo is named Condo del Sol) is a newly built condominium complex consisting of only 24 units. It is located just a few steps from Mamita's Beach which is currently the most beautiful and popular beach in Playa del Carmen. At Mamita's Beach, you will find everything you need to have the perfect beach day - beach club with swimming pool, two restaurants and bars, lounge chairs, water sports and a dive shop.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans, are fully air conditioned and include maid service (begining and end of stay) and bottled water service. Our air conditioning units and fans are being cleaned regularly in order to Improve Indoor Air Quality and reduce unhealthy indoor air pollutants, such as dust, mold and pollen.
We also do a complete check of each unit at a regular basis to make sure that there is no mold in the condo.
Not only is Condo Del Sol Condominium conveniently located from the beach (280 steps to be exact), it is also only a few steps from the famous Fifth Avenue. Known by locals as La Quinta Avenida, you will enjoy strolling along this cobblestone pedestrian walkway where you will find great shopping including hand crafts, delicately embroidered clothing, hammocks, fabulous jewelry and an endless array of fine restaurants and fun bars.It is also only a 10 minutes walk to 2 huge Superstores (Mega and Wal-Mart).

I can't believe it has been almost a month since we went to Playa. I also can't begin to tell you just how enjoyable a trip it was for all of us, thanks in good part to your hospitality and the condo. What a beautiful condo it is - there was certainly nothing lacking. It is in such a fun location - easy walk to the Beach Club, easy walk to 5th Street. This was the first time we had been to Playa, it certainly won't be the last. I look forward to contacting you many times in the future - hopefully the condo will be available. Hi Claude, Hope the holidays were all you hoped for, & that 2007 is a special year for you. As I promised last week, here is some feedback for you regarding the rental. LOCATION: Location is excellent. We liked that we were equally close to 5th Ave (but not in the center of the most hectic scene) & the beach. Mamita's is as you said a very special place. We utilized the beach club more than we thought we would. You mentioned the children's pool, but you didn't mention that it's free. Also the food there is nice for children as they serve several things that are familiar to young palettes (hamburgers, fries, etc). Everything is within walking distance, something you could emphasize more, even the large Mega stores. AMENITIES: Appreciated the AC, purified water, well-equipped kitchen, washer & dryer. Wished for a dishwasher after preparing one large meal to celebrate the holiday. There were necessary condiments, & I know they will fluctuate with renters (we left some aceto & olive & a few herbs). Pots & pans were adequate, also the dishes, glasses, etc. Missed having an espresso maker! (That's the Italian side of the family). Beach toys/chairs, etc. are a definite plus! Safes were nice touch as Gabriel brought his laptop since this was part vacation part business meeting. Really appreciated the wireless!!! INSTRUCTIONS: Notes posted around the condo were informative but not invasive. I personally really appreciated that. It told me just what I needed to know without making the place look like an employee lunch room. Only thing we didn't know was where to put the trash! The young man who maintains the place in the morning was very helpful however. SUGGESTION: I looked for a "Guest book" to write in. I know sometimes renters just use them to complain about things, but they also use them to pass along tips, or praise. Just an idea. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay. Your apt. is comfortable, sophisticated & fun, perfect for couples & families alike. My son thinks you might want to put away some of the breakable decorations. We put everything breakable up high "just in case." Please don't hesitate to give out our email address to those people asking for a reference. Thanks again. We know we'll return to Mexico & altho we rarely return to the same place twice, Playa may make us change our habits! Arrivederci, Victoria
