Northwoods Lodge is located just 90 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia. Surrounded by U.S. National Forest land and located near Lake Blue Ridge and a short drive to Lake Nottley. Our cabin is a great escape in the mountains but has all the luxuries of home including a fully equipped kitchen, 50 inch big screen TV with surround sound, new rustic décor, a private 6 person hot tub on the porch, pool table, private master bedroom with a sun room and jacuzzi tub, a beautiful mountain view, and much more.
The cabin is furnished with family friendly items to make your visit comfortable and fun for children. We have a Brio train set and table, Old Fashioned Hockey table, air hockey table, games, movies, Pak-N-Play portable play area/bed, toys, chairs, and other necessities for young children.
Our cabin is built with beautiful logs and stacked rock on the exterior and is all wood on the inside including cedar walls and hardwood floors. One of the most charming features is the wood burning fireplace in the family room and we furnish the wood. The cabin is well lit by lots of windows including two story windows in the family room and a sun room off of the master bedroom.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the family room has a leather sofa that converts to a queen size bed as well. The cabin also has satellite TV with VCR and DVD in the family room and master bedroom. In addition, the cabin has a washer and dryer for your convenience. The cabin also has high speed wireless or plug in internet service.
Also, the cabin is located near Helen, Hiawassee, Young Harris, Dahlonaga, Epworth, Mineral Bluff, McCaysville, Copper Hill TN, etc. Of course, there is nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub or rocking on the back porch and watching the sun set behind a beautiful view of the mountains. Why the Owner Chose Morganton
We love the North Georgia Mountains. We looked at dozens of cabins before we chose this one to purchase. The location is perfect; surrounded by national forest land but close enough to other cabins for comfort. It is located in a development with approximately 100 acres with 12 cabins total.
The Unique Benefits at this Log Cabin
Our cabin is conveniently located near so many natural attractions and activities but still in a very peaceful setting. We are near several lakes, rivers, waterfalls, trails, the towns of Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Hiawassee, etc. There is also plenty to do at the cabin and plenty of comfort. We have rented so many cabins in the past that were dark and dreary but our cabin is filled with natural light and very welcoming.

We had a lovely time at your beautiful cabin. It was like home away from home for the weekend. Our two children loved the games downstairs. We plan to visit again in the coming year.

This was a perfect weekend to see the changing leaves. So many bright red and yellow mixed with just a little green. How beautiful is God's creation. We enjoyed a corn maze and a nice lunch at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant and great pizza at Blue Jeans.

Thank you so much for letting us share youir "little peace of heaven". We enjoyed the cabin so much. It is spectacular. You have fixed it up so cute. We did not want to leave. It was a great long weekend for just the two of us. The view was great. We played a few games of pool, relaxed in the hot tub, and finally had some time to just unwind. Thanks again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin and surroundings were everything we had hoped for in celebrating our 14th anniversary. When we finally decided to leave the cabin, we hiked to the Aska Falls, took the Scenic Railway to TN, hiked the suspended bridge, and at the Blue Jeans Pizza and the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant...both were fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us. We will definately be back.
