Pictures and videos sometimes don't portray the exactness of the object. We found this to be true about this cabin...the pictures and video do not do the cabin justice, IT'S MUCH MORE IN REALITY! Cleanliness is a priority for us and this cabin was exceptional. From the very beginning of our 10-night stay everything felt comfortable and cozy. On the 1st and 2nd floors all of the floors, walls, and ceilings are constructed of wood, giving it a warm atmosphere. We had a fire burning in the wood fireplace most every night and all day during our last day. We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen and enjoyed eating them at the dining room table, in the living room watching movies, and even breakfasts in the sun room upstairs. Also grilled steaks and burgers a couple of nights on the grille out on the deck. The sun room was one of our favorite spots, it really should be called the "View Room" for it's panoramic view of the mountains. It was a quiet, inspirational place for our family devotionals too. Sleeping in a strange bed is always a challenge for my wife and I, but we had a more restful sleep in the pillow top king bed in the master bedroom than we do in our king bed at home. Our 13 and 15 year old daughters shared the queen bed in the 1st floor bedroom and only had a minor complaint of bumping each other in the night. We hiked several trails/waterfalls, hiked Brasstown Bald, picked apples at Merciers Orchards, and went horse back riding at Adventure Trails. The hot tub was a soothing massage at the end of our active days! Mike's Seafood Restaurant in Blairsville was only about 20 minutes away, we enjoyed great seafood at a reasonable price in a casual setting. Our last two days were spent relaxing and enjoying the cabin. We don't get much time to "play" together as a family, so the game room in the basement was a treat for us. Thanks Keith for sharing your cabin with us. God bless you and your family.
Owner response:Thanks for letting us know that you enjoyed the visit. It sounds like y'all hit all the right places to really enjoy the area. You even found some places we have not tried. God has blessed us with great renters like you for the last 5 1/2 years and we are very thankful for that. We hope to hear from you again in the future.

Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to rent this cabin for the weekend. The cabin was beautiful and just as described in the ad. We enjoyed playing pool, foosball, darts, etc and especially relaxing in the hot tub. The view was great and the peace and quiet was just what the doctor ordered. We spent time in Blue Ridge and Blairsville which are both very convenient to the cabin. We ate at a great Italian restaurant called Cucini Rustica which is located between the cabin and Blue Ridge. Best Italian food we have ever eaten. God bless.
Owner response:Thanks for your comments. I am glad you provided input for others to see. Our guest book at the cabin always has great comments and it make us feel good to know that others enjoy our cabin.

My sister and I stayed in your cabin September 2011. We came to visit family in the area, but didn't want to stay at a hotel. Your cabin was perfect! It was so beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed ourselves! My sister especially enjoyed the hottub! Thank you for the opportunity and you will probably see us again!
Owner response:Thanks for your comments. We are glad that you enjoyed our cabin and hope you have an opportunity to visit again in the future.

This was a great cabin. The road into the cabin wasnt in the best of shape because there had been snow; Muddy mess!!! Enjoyed the big screen TV and the fact they had dish/ satellite; Pool table was nice and there were other toys for children; At night there always seemed to be people in/out, shinning head lights etc around. It would have been nicer if the wood for the fireplace wasnt green/wet, wouldnt burn
Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed the cabin. We have experienced much more snow this year than normal so the roads have not been worse than usual. After snow events, the roads are fine in a few days. Not sure about the lights. There are usually very few of the cabins occupied. Starter wood, paper, etc is not provided as noted in the information provided prior to arrival and required for starting a fire since we do not have gas starters. Thanks for staying at our cabin. God bless.

WOW! There is absolutely nothing more we could have possibly ask for with the exception of more vacation time". The pictures do not capture how neat and clean this home is nor can you see all the amenities, warm homey touches and unexpected extras the owners furnished, thanks Keith and Melanie it didn't go unnoticed. You don't need a thing except your personal items, food, clothes and toothbrush! Each morning was a wonderful treat to enjoy our coffee in the beautiful master bedroom sun room after an amazing nights sleep in the big comfy king log bed with extra nice linens. We didn't leave the lodge much because it was so beautiful and peaceful that we preferred to spend our time reading, relaxing in the hot tub, cooking on the wonderful Webber grill and just hanging out enjoying the mountain views. Oh, did I mention that the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom bath had a view to the mountains?....SWEET! The one time we went sightseeing out in the Aska area we were treated to the rare sight of a black bear crossing the road in front of our car, a family of white tail deer and a lot of wild turkeys. Needless to say we didn't want to leave and as I told the owner, there are probably some scratch marks left on his front door where my fingernails were hanging on as my husband drug me out. By the way the owner called to make sure we arrived ok, patiently answered all our questions and when it was time to leave he called to see how our stay was, first class, and so nice to work with. We even extended our stay (13 glorious days) and can't wait to go back! We absolutely recommend this property to anyone seeking peace, quiet and the need to be rejuvinated!

Owner response:We appreciate your comments and are so glad you had this time of much needed rest. We have never asked for responses but it was sure great to see that you did so and had great things to say. We visit our cabin a few times a year and it is always good to see what our guest write in the book there. We are very fortunate to have this cabin and offer it to others as a place to rest and relax. Our prayer is that our cabin can be used by others to enjoy the beautiful mountains that God created. We have been blessed that great guests have found our cabin. God bless.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful time. The cabin has all the comforts of home but with beautiful views. A porch over looking the side of the mountain to the flowing creek and campsite, where we roasted marshmellows and sang songs, just like in a movie. The sound of flowing water and nature surround you as you sit in the porch swing. Cabin was clean and neat with plenty of room for everyone. With televisions both upstairs and down you are still able to catch your shows, if you want. Plenty of tubing, rafting and swimming for the kids. There is also a train that takes you to and from Blue Ridge to McCaysville and lets you out for shopping, fun for kids and adults. My family and I had a wonderful time. We went tubing, shopping and ate at a wonderful place in McCaysville. Bro. Larry and Ms.Wylene Pearson are such a treat. They are a wonderful couple who really want you to have a good time. They checked on us just to make sure everything was Ok. Made sure we had emergency numbers, things to do lists. I can't say enough nice things about the cabin or the people who own it. The rates are reasonable. They have great deals in every month. If you are looking for the place to stay ....this is it.

We had a lovely time at your beautiful cabin. It was like home away from home for the weekend. Our two children loved the games downstairs. We plan to visit again in the coming year.

This was a perfect weekend to see the changing leaves. So many bright red and yellow mixed with just a little green. How beautiful is God's creation. We enjoyed a corn maze and a nice lunch at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant and great pizza at Blue Jeans.

Thank you so much for letting us share youir "little peace of heaven". We enjoyed the cabin so much. It is spectacular. You have fixed it up so cute. We did not want to leave. It was a great long weekend for just the two of us. The view was great. We played a few games of pool, relaxed in the hot tub, and finally had some time to just unwind. Thanks again. We are already planning our visit next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin and surroundings were everything we had hoped for in celebrating our 14th anniversary. When we finally decided to leave the cabin, we hiked to the Aska Falls, took the Scenic Railway to TN, hiked the suspended bridge, and at the Blue Jeans Pizza and the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant...both were fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us. We will definately be back.
