As recent guests commented, "The Fox Cottage was the perfect place to come home to after our daily "adventures" in Napa! Walking and exploring neighborhoods in the morning was fun, as well as walking to Pearl's for dinner. We enjoyed golf at Eagle Vines and Silverado and wine tasting at Domaine Chandon, Miner Family Vineyard and Sterling. This is a terrific location for all activities! Many thanks!- Peggy and Jim B."
Enjoy your getaway to wine country!

Authentic Victorian Retreat - City Permit #Vr09-0045
Year Purchased: 1996
Why the Owner Chose Napa
In 1996 I acquired the Fox Cottage and operated it many years as a regular month to month rental house. In 2005 I refurbished the house again and converted it to a vacation rental. Napa has a unique combination of local activities, perfect climate, the best agricultural soils, beautiful landscape, and proximity to the SF Bay area.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Fox Cottage is within easy walking distance of the thriving downtown area. Downtown Napa has over 20 Zagat rated restaurants, almost as many wine tasting rooms and wine bars, shopping, river walk and interesting seasonal activities and festivals. The cottage is a fine example of a Queen Anne "raised cottage" designed by notable local architect Luther Turton in 1892.
Hotel; Restaurants Celedon, Angele, Sweetie Pies, Napa Marketplace, Silos (live entertainment)
Owner's Map of Napa
Napa is a lovely town located in the heart of the Napa Valley. I've been active in the community for over 20 years, having served on boards, commissions and as an elected official.

What a wonderful place to stay on our trip to Napa! Fox Cottage met our needs perfectly with plenty of entertainment room, large table, and abundant wine glasses! It was cozy and comfortable and only a short walk to downtown! We would definitely want to stay here again if we travel to Napa!

We have enjoyed our stay at Fox Cottage for our "Just turned 40 Girls weekend". Had a wonderful private tour guide Brian w/ "A Limo Excursion & Wine Tours". He had us scheduled for 2 private tours, Porter Family Vineyards and Tournesol. Both were fantastic. Definitely recommend the tour service, we would never have found either on our own. We also visited Far Niente, wonderful experience and Sterling. The views were worth every penny! Thank you for everything. Jennifer J., Shelly M., Kerstin H., Becky H.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fox Cottage. It was very nice to be able to come back here and relax in the evenings. We enjoyed introducing our daughter to wine country. Some of our favorites were Mumm's (for some early morning champagne), Pine Ridge Winery, Robert Biale Winery, Andretti Winery, and Castello Di Amorosa. The Norman Rose Tavern by far the most enjoyable meal. All around good food, and excellent service. We had several people recommend Mustard's to us. The food was good, but our server had no personality, which made for a not so great time there. Thanks, John, Sherry & Katie - Tupelo, MS

My girlfriends and I loved the cottage! It was wonderful to have more space than we would have in a hotel room to hang out - we spent a lot of time on the couches catching up. Very comfy beds (unfortunately, I spent half the trip sick and can really attest to that). :( We didn't get to take full advantage of the kitchen like we planned because there were so many tempting restaurants down the street, but it would have been easy to because it was well-appointed and the Safeway was within walking distance. Juliana also had lots of extra provisions in the bathroom - big bottles of shampoo, body wash, etc. - that were nice to have. She was fantastic - so helpful!
Owner response:Thank you, Morgan. It was such a pleasure having you visit Napa! We are so glad you felt "at home" while you were ill. Hope to see you again soon. All the best, Juliana
