Beautiful ohia, avocado, ironwood and papaya trees; hibiscus, desert rose and plumeria flowers; and butterflies to enjoy in the yard.
22 miles to Punalulu (Black Sand Beach) - walk on the amazing black sand beach. Shopping, camping, golfing available. Swim with turtles, whale watch, see the locals fish, and star gaze in the evening.
26 miles to Hookena Beach - swim with the wild spinner dolphins, snorkel and see the beautiful fish and turtles in this wonderful area. Climb up to the lava tube. Bring your boogie board and catch the waves! Whale watching also from December to April.
Ocean View and nearby Naalehu offer Saturday markets with lots of locally grown coffee, fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh fish and lobster. Gifts and crafts are also available.
